John Carnaby vs Aria Snowheart

John had slammed Aria's knee to the mat and released her after it, thus he was waiting to see what she'd do next.

When she went for her kick Mr Carnaby had rushed towards her and was nailed in the side of the belly, earning a grunt of pain from the art student. His face winced as well from the impact.

But still he sprung into action and wrapped his arm around the leg, before swiftly moving to kick Aria's other leg out from under her.
It was a bit early to be trying it but John would try to knock her down to her back and with a hold on one leg he'd try to lock her into a figure 4 leg lock.

"Urugh..." Aria grunted as she was trapped by the leg lock. She tossed and turned as she swallowed the pain. This was how she was used to fighting, taking the pain as she tried to find a chance for reversal.

Trashing about left and right, she tried to break the hold. If that wasn't possible, she would keep doing so until she had enough momentum to roll towards the ropes and touch the ropes.

John was successful in locking in his figure 4, he kept himself grounded as best he could to keep ahold of it.

He clicked his tongue as Aria got herself free, he knew it was a bit too early for it. But at least he was able to show he knew what he was doing here. The art student would roll backwards after letting go of Aria, standing near the ropes away from her he'd smile and say "You're not half bad."

Mr Carnaby would get back into his stance and edge towards Aria to carry on the match.

"Whatever." Aria snorted as she stood back up on her feet. She was confident she could take whatever he threw at her. Without waiting for a chance for him to get back into his stance, Aria would suddenly run towards him, throwing a feint as she suddenly spun around 360 degrees to before a spinning backhand towards his face.

John's eyes went wide as he noticed Aria being on the attack, his reactions spurring him into defence mode.

He saw Aria spinning and got clipped in the side of the head, earning an heavy grunt of pain.
The art student staggered back a little and held his chin, a small smirk appearing on his face.

John would dash forward to Aria, grapping her and forcing her towards the ropes with an Irish whip.

Aria was surprised that John would use an irish whip when she was still standing and awaiting him, but nevertheless she didn't mind it. As she bounced off the ropes, Aria would charge at him attempting to give him a hard clothesline.

John kept himself focused on Aria as she went off the ropes at him, she was the only thing that mattered right now and not in the romantic kind of way like he did with Lia.

Once she got into the move of the hard clothesline John would attempt to counter by spearing her in the gut, then trying to get hold of her legs for another move.

Aria expected him to dodge under her clothesline, however she predicted wrong. As she went for the clothesline, John would spear her in the gut. She saw the attack coming but failed to react in time.

"Ouufhh..." Her eyes widen in shock as the impact slammed into her gut, causing all the air in her to be knocked out. As she landed on the mat, John quickly got hold of her legs, though she tried her best to kick him away, and if that didn't work, she would try to at least crawl towards the ropes.

John had gotten ahold of Aria's legs, his intent was to get her legs weakened to makes things easier in the long run. But he had to admit he was impressed by her tenacity, but she didn't seem one to be polite so he kept a stiff upper lip.

He was intending to try a boston crab, but with the fight she was putting up it didn't seem too likely for it to happen.
So instead what he'd do was grab ahold of one leg and then drop down with his elbow on the side of her kneecap, he figured it would be a start but he knew he'd have to get better shots in if he was to weaken her lower body. He'd roll backwards to the middle of the ring to get some distance, staying in a crouching posture as he did so.

Aria closed her eyes and grunted in pain as she felt his elbow drop onto the side of her knee cap. Forcing down the pain, Aria would pull herself to the ropes, where she would stand up.
She needed to catch her breath. At this moment an idea came to mind. She started taking in deep and heavy breaths to draw him in under the guise she was more tired than she really was.
