Shantae: Half-Genie Hero

If I was still in the business of making characters, I'd totally make some sort of wrestler based on Shantae's design, maybe from a neat piece of fanart somewhere (Fanart of the series is lacking, but still in existence).

Honestly, the original Shantae is probably one of the best animated Gameboy Color games in the world, which isn't saying much, but the amount of individual sprites Shantae has is crazy-high for that platform. She even has a unique pants-flared falling animation, for goodness sake. [size=85:2bax0c63]She also looks like a little cat who's about to pounce when she's crouched, it's totally adorbs.

I'm worried that the kickstarter ain't gunna get funded, though, especially with Mighty Number 9 hanging around, which has already gotten, like, 2 million bucks, and it's still getting money. It's crazy.

It's WayForward, and it's Shantae. Even if it doesn't get funded, it WILL get made.

But I'm 100% confident it'll be funded.

If I was still active here I'd make the harpy form into a character.

Or heck, I'd just make a shapeshifting genie, slap on a different name, and plop her in Fur and Feathers without a care in the world. Anyway, enjoy!

Hah, I wish! No, I'm just a college student who thinks that this has the makings of a wonderful game.

I just happen to be the exact donation tier required to vote on which transformations make it into the final game! I'll throw a vote in for tiger in your honor, good Kitten.

I also like Shantae's bodytype: She's a lot more, well, pear-shaped than most video game female protagonists, yet is still cute as a button. Maybe even cuter than a button. Heck, yeah, she's cuter than a button. Button's aren't really very cute in the first place, how did that become a saying?

Anyway, yeah, pretty darn cute.

...You know, I think I'm gunna do it. I'm going to really quick cook up a character based on Shantae, despite technically being on hiatus.
