Dizz's Debut Duel (Dizz vs. Emily)

Darla had barely any time to unpack her stuff before she received word that she had a match scheduled, and that it was tonight. Now that she was actually here, it all felt a bit surreal for her. She could fight, sure, but she had never performed in front of an audience before. Ah, what did they matter? All she cared about was that she'd get a chance to bludgeon someone else's face and/or body. She stood up from her bench, tightening one of her boots, before heading for the stage.

She didn't have a chance to pick her own entrance music, or design her theme yet, so, she ended up coming out to the standard AFW entrance and music. She grimaced at how peppy it sounded. It sounded more like a cheerleader's entrance than anything. She'd have to fix that as soon as humanly possible. She walks down the stage, securing the ties to her twin tails, and walks down the ramp. The crowd gave her a warm welcome, unaware of what she could do or what she was capable of yet. She climbs up into the ropes, and slowly cracks her knuckles, anxious to find out what kind of powerhouse she was put up against.

As it so happened, Darla would not have to wait long to find out.



"The Wicked Symphony" by Avantasia played as Emily Nelson strode into the rang, casually brushing her hair back and, in the process, giving the audience and her opponent alike a good look at her tall, fit form. She wore her usual fuschia one-piece with a nylon v-cut that seemed to cling to her curvy body, leaving her arms and rather nice legs clad only in matching fuschia gloves, boots and pads. She seemed calm, and collected as usual-- the Noble Fighter of AFW was known for her stiff upper lip and being a resolute face. The crowd murmured in approval-- a match against a vicious rookie like Dizz would be a perfect clash of personalities.

Making her way down to the ring, Emily fixed her eyes on her opponent as she slid into the ring. The other girl was tall and slender, with pink, pigtailed hair and a cocky grin. Eying her warily, Emily strode towards her, trying to get the measure of this unfamiliar face. "I take it you're a new girl, aye?" the Scotswoman asked. "I'm afraid this'll be a rough very introduction, then." She extended an an arm to Dizz for a handshake. "Emily Nelson, very pleased t'meet ye." Some members of the crowd, approving of Emily's generous behaviour, burst into applause at this.

Dizz heard the music playing, and watched as a purple haired woman stepped out from the stage. She noticed her calm and casual demeanor as she steps towards the ring. Her cocky grin faded for a moment, as she looked over her. She seemed strong. Very strong. She doesn't respond to the Scot's question, but upon hearing her talking about a rough introduction, she slowly smiles again.

"Just call me Dizz. That's all you need to know." She declared, cracking her knuckles slowly as Emily introduced herself. She noticed the crowd applauding upon the introduction, and spared a glance to them for a moment. They seemed easily exciteable. She shook her head, and turned back to Emily. "I hope my introduction will be very.. very rough." She replied, raising her fists up, anxious to begin.

Emily raised an eyebrow as her offered handshake was ignored. Given the vicious grin this girl was giving her, Emily quickly realized that Dizz wasn't the courteous type. She lowered her hand, a little irritated by Dizz's lack of proper manners. She made a mental note to be wary around this girl-- for all she knew, Dizz was the type who liked to fight dirty.

"Hmph." Emily took a step back, her arms loosening as she got ready to begin. "With an attitude like that, lassie, I guaruntee, ye'll get what you want." And with that, she began to circle Dizz, hopping lightly on her booted feet as she raised her arms in a ready stance, waiting for the bell.

Dizz wasn't really interested in pleasantries. Not for her first match here. All she wanted to do was test her skills against the other women. She steps out of her corner upon seeing Emily leave hers, and counter circles her. When the ref saw they were both ready, she walked over and rang the bell.

*DING*

As soon as Dizz heard the signal, she darted in quick, hoping to catch Emily by surprise with a harsh cross with her left fist aimed at the fighter's cheek!

The moment the bell rang, Emily had been hoping to cross the distance between them and lock up with Dizzy in a fairly standardized grapple. That way, she could get a sense of the other girl's strength, and maybe work her into an irish whip or a throw. To her surprise, though, Dizz lunged right at her. Emily tried to twist away at the last minute, but Dizz's fist still slammed hard against Emily's cheek, snapping her head to the side. "Uuugh!"

Clutching her cheek, Emily cursed under her breath and retaliated, spinning her body towards Dizz and snapping a sudden kick to her chest or midsection.

Dizz smiled with glee when she cracked her fist across Emily's cheek, and watched her head snap to the side. Down and out, just like all the others.

She would discover quickly, however, that this woman wasn't going down with a single punch, and could only brace herself as Emily spun around, and nailed her right in the breadbasket. "Guff!" She coughs, knocked back a few steps by the powerful kick. She stood there for a moment, before smiling back at Emily.

"Finally." She would breathe, and brings her fists up, circling around her, before juking to the right, then tried to dart in and drill her right in the belly with her left!

Rubbing her sore cheek, Emily glared angrily at Dizz, and watched as the pink-haired girl staggered back from her kick. As she watched, Dizz recovered quickly, grinning viciously at her. This girl wasn't just your average heel, Emily realized: she was a bloody psychopath who loved the sheer violence of the ring. Win or lose, Dizz was the sort of person who just wanted to hurt people. Emily grimaced: wackos like Dizz tainted the nobility of the sport by their very presence.

As Dizz got back up, Emily mirrored her circle, watching her carefully as the two sized each other up like boxers. Moving quickly again, Dizz struck, and Emily moved to block...but it had just been a feint, and Emily went wide-eyed as another fist slammed into her exposed belly. "UAGH!" she gasped, doubling over as the air exploded from her lungs. Clutching her belly, she hissed a curse and tried to retaliate, swiping at Dizz with the forearm of her free hand to try to strike the girl in the side of the head.

Dizz successfully buried her fist in Emily's belly. She watched the woman double over, her pink eyes almost flashing when she thought she had already knocked out all of the woman's steam. "Pathet-arghh!" She starts to taunt, and ends up taking the forearm to the side of her head. She's knocked to the side, stumbling a few steps, and falling to one knee, her vision and balance rattled for a moment. "Nnngh..." She fights to get it back under her control, clenching her teeth as she rises back to her feet.

"Ah...hhhah..." Emily had been given some breathing room as her forearm swipe connected-- ironically, as she could barely breathe at the moment. Dizz had packed a lot of power behind that punch, and had it not been for her seasoned reflexes, Emily would have been completely vulnerable to any follow-up by the vicious rookie. Dizz's fists, Emily was quickly discovering, were her most powerful asset.

Still, Emily knew she had to capitalize on this lucky strike. Still doubled over, Emily suddenly charged forward, aiming to nail Dizz with a hard clothesline to the chest or throat before she could recover...
