Jessica Butterfly vs. Claire St. Clair

Jessica, figuring that is was worth a shot at the very least, extended her arm in hope of hitting Claire with a quick clothesline. She didn't expect it to work, seeing as she was the one who had gotten taken advantage of, and her dark haired opponent was probably ready for her. But to her great surprise, she managed to land a good solid hit, knocking the girl straight down to the mat.

Jessica smiled a bit, taking a moment to smile and look out to the crowd, who seemed to be cheering. For her, or for the fact that there were two tiny girls smacking each other in a wrestling ring, she didn't know. But it felt good hearing that. In her distraction however, she wasn't paying any attention to her downed opponent, who was quick to take advantage of Jessica's moment of stupidity, grabbing the pink haired girl by the ankle and pulling her leg out from under her, forcing her to fall to the mat. "Wah!" she shouted as she went down, more from the sudden sensation of falling than anything else.

“Rrrr…thought I had you…” the dark-haired kawaii groaned.

For a moment, Claire thought that getting herself into a match with a girl who obviously had some real wrestling experience was not the smartest move. But Jessica wasnâ€t any bigger than she was, and it didnâ€t really matter if Claire had never wrestled formally before joining AFW—she was scrappy, and her persistence would certainly pay off in the end!

Now that she had brought her pink-haired opponent to the mat, as well, Claire felt comfortable taking a moment to compose herself. She had gotten a little excited and had walked right into that clothesline. She was not about to do that again. Slowly, she would get to her knees, waiting for Jessica to do the same.

When she did, Claire would offer her hands for a test of strength—knowing, of course, that she might very well lose it, but also thinking that there were a number of ways she could turn even a losing effort to her own advantage.

She couldn't lie to herself; what happened just now was her own fault. Jessica got caught up in the moment when she really shouldn't have, and completely ignored Claire, giving her the easy opportunity to take her down to the mat with her. Jessica mentally slapped herself for doing something so stupid. But it felt so good, landing a move like that. Sure, it wasn't much, but it did the trick. Then she had to go and ruin it. Not too smart on her end.

After Claire got to her feet, Jessica quickly got back to her own, not wanting to get taken advantage of while she was down. Grapples sucked, especially when they were down on the mat, where they were harder to get out of. "Not bad, Claire," Jessica would say, smiling at her dark haired opponent. Even though it was her own fault, it was quick thinking on her opponent's part. She had to give credit where credit was due, of course.

Jessica was a bit reluctant, but she inevitably accepted the test of strength. She wasn't really much bigger than Claire, so she didn't really have any advantage over her. But that would stop her from pushing as hard as she could, hoping to get her into a corner.

Claireâ€s thinking in many ways mirrored that of Jessica, though, of course, the dark-haired kawaii had no way of knowing that. She had realized that it had been her fault that Jessica had successfully clotheslined her in the first place, but it was pretty gutsy of the pink-haired wrestler to do that—not all girls could think on their feet so well!

“Youâ€re not too bad either, Jessica,” Claire responded, with a little smile.

Once the two of them locked up for a test of strength, Claire found that she was initially holding up rather well. Slowly but surely, however, she began to be pushed back, first having to take one step, then two, then three. Desperate to slow her opponentâ€s momentum, Claire put everything she had into her next push, trying to force Jessica back to the center.

Jessica smiled at Claire's compliment. It felt good, being acknowledged as a good wrestler, even though she didn't really consider herself to be very good at all. Lucky, sometimes, but not really all that good. Still, the compliment was nice, and it definitely gave Jessica a confidence boost.

Once int he lock up, Jessica tried her best to push Clair back, and even manged to get her back a few steps. She was sure she had her now. But then, the dark haired girl surprised her by pushing back even harder, and eventually getting them back to the center of the ring, where Jessica started to fall back this time, moving slowly back until eventually, her back touch the corner. Not wanting to be outdone though, she continued to push, hoping that she could get away from the corner at the very least.

Claire sort of surprised herself with her own strength. Despite the fact that Jessica had some more wrestling experience, the black-haired kawaii was able to force her back to the center of the ring, and then even further, all the way acros the ring to the ropes on the other side. “Heh heh heh,” Claire giggled, excited at her own little display of strength. “Iâ€m winning!”

Even as she said that, though, her advantage began to melt away, as Jessica redoubled her efforts, and Claire was forced to take first one step back, then another, until she was pushed all the way back to the center of the ring, where she was at last able to firmly plant her feet and keep herself from being pushed back up against the ropes.

It took all the effort she had, but Jessica was surprisingly able to push back her dark haired opponent, right back tot he center of the ring. It seemed that the two girls were at a complete stalemate when it came to physical strength. No matter what one or the other did, they just managed to push back, and show that they wren't going to be overpowered. That meant that this match was going to come down to who was able to take advantage, and think better on their feet.

The two small girls, still locked up in the middle of the ring, pushing against one another, didn't seem to be going anywhere. So Jessica knew she would have to try something different. So, with Claire still pushing, the young butterfly would try to pull back just a bit, and try to use the girls forward momentum to get her into a front head lock. It wasn't much, but it was better than being locked in a never ending push battle.

Claire groaned and grunted, doing the very best she could to fight back and keep Jessica pushed up against the ropes. Unfortunately, just as she had managed to come back after it looked like she would be overpowered, the pink-haired girl did the same, and the two finally came to a halt in the center of the ring, each girl pushing as hard as she could, but neither managing to so much as budge the other.

“Mmmph…youâ€re pretty strong…” Claire said, blushing a little as she realized how equal, how evenly matched the two of them were.

Suddenly, she felt Jessica pulling back, and the black-haired kawaii stumbled forwards, falling right into a front headlock. “Waaah!? H-hey!” Claire gasped, smacking at Jessicaâ€s stomach and chest, trying to hurt the girl just enough to force her to let her go.

With the two small girl so evenly matched up so far, Jessica was aware that they only way she was going to get anywhere, was to outsmart Claire. While she didn't really feel she had a whole lot of wrestling experience, Claire seemed to think she had a whole lot more. Maybe that would give Jessica the advantage. Maybe not...

With that in mind, the butterfly managed to pull her dark haired opponent into a front head lock, holding her firmly in place after using her own forward momentum to capture her. Now she had the chance to do something big. But what? She didn't have much time to think, what with Claire smacking at her middle, trying to get her off. Jessica had to act fast. Reacting to the smacking of her middle, Jessica raised a knee, hoping to connect it to the dark haired girls own gut to stop her from smacking her. If that worked, then Jessica would Push her away a bit, going to grab her hair before trying to pull her face down to the mat with a face buster.

Claire continued pounding away at Jessicaâ€s midsection, figuring that sooner or later the girl would have to release her. And release her Jessica did—but only after a sharp knee to her gut that sent Claire staggering backwards, groaning and clutching at her tummy. “Uuuurgh…” the black-haired kawaii groaned. “Not fair…”

Without warning, she would then find herself grabbed by the hair and slammed powerfully to the mat, her cute opponent stunning her with a perfectly executed face buster. The schoolgirl moaned, bringing one hand up to rub at her face, while she would try to roll over and get to her knees to keep herself from falling victim to any smothering tactics which might lose her this first round. She was still, however, a little groggy after that hit.
