Operation: Diving Eagle

The Temple Games were underway firmly and now Adrian needed a tension match for the Purple Chocobos to continue/start (delete where apropriate) their winning ways, however: there was a lot about tension that the cosplayer wasn't keen on, on the one side there were people like Tai, who were massive pervs. On the other there were freaks like Killer King who was a massive perv, sadistic and as big as Rebecca. She needed a way to dodge all of that and find someone who she could beat easilly, and would not attempt to get in her pants. This was serious business to her.

"Clyyyydee! Wakey Wakey!" She yelled, banging on the apartment door of Clyde Gastin, the dark skinned amazon behind her shaking her head.

"Couldn't you have just called him?" Rebecca asked, it had taken a while to find him: after he'd been kicked out for various transgetions, finding where the cowboy had ended up was harder than it seemed.

"That's plan B." Adrian insisted, tapping her foot as she waited for her potential opponent to emerge.

It was mid-afternoon and Clyde Gastin was still lost in a deep, drunken sleep within his small, messy and now lonely apartment that only he seemed to occupy these days. He had been up all night, listening to depressing yet soothing country songs to quell his blues, while downing bottles of booze, one of which was still in his hands as he lay sprawled out in his bed. He would remain fast asleep until he would heard a sudden banging and yelling at his door, one that made his eyes shoot open as he quickly sat up in a startled in surprise manner.

"Huzzah-Wah!?" He let out as he sat up on the bed, looking around the bedroom frantically before he realized that it was someone at the door. Very rare these days. "Uuughhh...." He groaned tiredly at being woken up, grumbling bitterly to himself as he slouched off the bed and dragged his feet towards the door. "I'm Comin'... I'm Comin'..." He'd say, reaching the door, unlocking it and then opening it. In the doorway, Rebecca and Adrian would find the familiar cowboy, now with long, thick blonde hair and deep bags under his eyes, wearing a white T-shirt and shorts to sleep in.

They might not recognize him at first, but he clearly remembered them.

"Who the-....A-ADDY!? REBECCA!?" Clyde would yell out excitedly at the two before he leapt forth and extended his arms out to hug the two tightly around the neck affectionately, his bottle of whiskey resting behind the top of Rebecca's muscular shoulder. He had not seen the two in quite some time and the long haired Texan was more than happy to see them again.

"Aww Man It's good to see you guys!!!"

"Uhhh... Clyde?" Adrian asked as the drunk blonde stood in the door frame. This was the same Clyde Gastin she'd met before, right?

Group hug says yes.

"Heyyy! Missed you too cowboy!" Adrian said, before taking a whiff "Ewww... I think you need a shower." the cosplayer said while the big amazon practically carried them both into the room. "Anyway, I got big plans and I kind of need you to help me with them."

"Just remember to stop her if she goes to far" Rebecca reminded the blonde "Otherwise there's no stopping her."

The booze was definitely helping with being emotional to the point where Clyde smiled happy as he shared the group hug with the two, even more so when Adrian stated that she missed him. That felt really good to hear, more than she knew probably. Though his cheeks did flush a bit when Adrian commented that he needed a shower, he hadn't really taken good care of himself lately and it was rather embarrassing to smell bad in front a pair of ladies, even if they were just good friends. He'd have to remember to clean up later.

Getting carried into the living room of the apartment, Clyde couldn't help but be slightly embarrassed by the sight of the unkempt place, but he knew there was nothing he could do about that. Instead he listened to Adrian. "Big plans? Me?" Clyde asked with a curious tilt of his head before he grinned at Adrian and Rebecca, more than happy to be actually needed for something.

"Tellin' me that is only gon get me more interested, Rebecca." Clyde would comment smugly before he looked to Adrian. "Clyde T. Gastin's always happy to help a friend in need... Watcha need help with?"

Adrian and Rebecca wasn't too bothered by how messy the place was. Although their place was bigger, that just meant there was more space to chuck everything, parts of Adrian's various costumes. "Yeah! You!" Adrian started "there's this thing going on called the temple games, and I'm team captain. Thing is, each team has to do 2 tension matches and although I've got someone on point for one, as captain I need to pull my weight and get one. However, since there are a lot of creepy guys, I don't want to take any chances and fight you instead... only... not so much fight as it is more... me win quickly then we hi-5 backstage."

Listening to what Adrian had to say regarding her favor, Clyde would just nod his head as he took in her words, frowning a bit and then smirking slightly once he realized the situation and what he was really needed for.

"So you want me to take a dive for y'all..." He'd say while scratching his chin. "For you Addy, I don't mind taken a dive but I'd like somethin' in return if you don't mind..." Said Clyde with a light laugh and shrug before he showed the two his bottle of whiskey that was about empty.

"...More would be nice..." He'd say while nervously scratching his head.

"Well I wouldn't use 'dive' but it's pretty accurate yeah..." Adrian admitted, it was technically cheating the whole system, but that all hinged on her getting caught setting this up. Otherwise, it was intelligence and skill. "What sort of thing do you want? I mean Cec is being a hardass and trying to get me to start paying bills instead of just mooching off her for life and...oh." the cosplayer said, spying the bottle. "You sure that's a good idea?" She asked "I mean... you're kind of... you know..." Adrian mumbled slightly before REbecca spoke up.

"Okay how's this, before the match I take you out for drinks, I'm paying for whatever. Beer, wine, whiskey: your choice just don't be too embarrassed if I drink you under the table." the Amazon suggessted "At least that way I can make sure you make it too the ring."

"Oh that's great!" Adrian jumped up, cogs working in her brain. "We could also make it look like you just attacked him to make my life easier, so there's an excuse where you don't put up a fight. You know, a lot of eye shadow, a fake bruise... that sort of stuff!"

Though Clyde chuckled at the correction for the term 'dive' he did, he did frown slightly at the mention of Cecilia, another sore subject that was keeping him up at night. He had messed up a lately... With almost Everyone. Everyone but Adrian. He couldn't screw this one up, not when he screwed things up with everyone else.

He almost hesitated with his request when Adrian seem to be hesitant about giving him more booze. But money was tight and it was starting to get hard to support his hobby. He knew he was a drunk, but he didn't really care. "An Alcoholic? Hah~" Clyde would say to Adrian after hearing her mumbling, acting like it was a joke and no big deal. His spirits picked up tho when Rebecca offered to take him out for drinks.

"Ha! We'll see 'bout that... Don't count me out cuz Im small..." Clyde would say proudly before he listened to what Adrian had to say. He then frowned a bit.

"Hold up!" Eyeshadow!? Clyde T. Gastin's a Man! He don't wear no make up! Ain't doin' that." He would protest.

"Well... not alcoholic, I mean, general... shutting yourself away and not talking stuff..." Adrian added, seeing Clyde like this was kind of hard to do, remembering how close the whole group had been with the Avengers, even Bonnie had drifted away from him. It seemed Adrian and Rebecca were the only two left that still sort

"Please, you'll be out before I can't walk a straight line anymore." Rebecca said, patting the blonde on the back. "But first you gotta clean up a bit, I got to have a few standards with who I go out with. I'm still a lady, last time I checked anyway." the amazon joked, both the tall and taller women bursting out into giggling fits.

"Oh come on! It'll look fabulous."

"....I A-Ain't shuttin' myself away! I go out! ...To bars... I'm still doin' matches! And I talk to....Uh... Umm... Shit..." Clyde would try to say, but otherwise failing to convince anyone that his life was anything but what Adrian was saying. He hadn't talked to many people lately. His mood picked up though upon hearing Rebecca's playful banter.

"Challenge Fuckin' Accepted Rebecca!" He'd tell her with a competitive grin on his face, he had yet to be out drank before, save for one incident but that girl was long gone. He would back off though when she mentioned a shower, making Clyde ruffle his hair a bit before he laughed nervously with Rebecca. "Ah...Heh Heh Heh... Why do I feel so short?" He'd laugh nervously.

The laugh ended though when Adrian used the F-Word. "No! Hell no!" He jumped up before setting his drink down. The next thing that went down was his long hair, which Clyde used to cover his eyes.

"Ya best punch me in the eye for reals or let me go without it! Clyde T. Gastin ain't wearin' no Eye Shadow! Cowboys ain't Fa-... Fa... Fab.... That word!" He'd protest while keeping his messy hair hanging in front of his face.
