I have to admit I'm a little nervous

This is my first time in a forum that's basically dedicated to an rp character. My real name is Neil and I really hope to enjoy my stay here. There are some questions I have: Do I have to use a female? The title of the forum kinda tells me that, but I can't be too sure as sections such as "the men's locker room" baffle me. Also, do I specifically have to control one character or can I make OOCs such as good friends of my main character or, better yet, a second? Also, where should I generally start my character off, and do I have to make a profile for my character? If so, where do I submit it? Sorry if this is overdoing it with questions. I wanna be involved in a way that makes everyone happy and doesn't involve me making an a** of myself.

You could make as many characters as you want and control as many of them as you want at a time.
But only one of your characters can be doing a thing at a time.
Before you use your character, generally, it's preferable that you make a profile first. Submit your characters in the Roster forums.

And, to furtherly answer your questions nduns (no need to be nervous, bro ^_^), you are not forced to have female characters.
Just, remember that the AFW federation consists of 2 rosters: 1) Friction, for female wrestling only; 2) Sex Wars, for mixed wrestling. Male characters only apply to this last roster of course.

To arrange your matches you can PM some other members and speak of your idea, or you can post a challange on the Notice Board for someone to raise it.
If you're not sure what to do, you might always go to the Practice Gym playing your character, having him wish to have some spare partners to get him started with the wrestling activities.
