It's because she's so busy with school. She just doesn't really have time for a real relationship, and as it turns out, we don't have as much in common as we thought.

So whenever I drive over railroad tracks I wonder if the thing that makes the lights come on and the barricade come down is broken, and if there's a train coming ready to smash me to bits. I always think that I should look both ways on the tracks, but then I never do, because I figure the worst thing that could happen is a quick and decisive death, and I always think to myself "that'd be okay."

Maybe that's a little unhealthy.

We all suffer from some sort of paranoia, it is a bit unhealthy but we all still have it. Like I'm sometimes paranoid of drivers on All-way/4 way intersections just going and disregarding that some other driver had the right of way and smash me. Which did almost happen before a few times.

Also, I'm pretty sure you can avoid the train in time. Especially since they blow their horns before crossing railroads that cut off cars to let them know they are coming.
