We usually have a fuckton of craneflys around sweden during the entirety of the summer.

Though they've never bothered me, since they don't really do anything so you can just swat them away no problem.

What I got a problem with is Black Flys, they are the most evil bastards in the world. They travel in huge huge swarms and just bite everything they see. They are like locusts!

I also have an enormous amount of crane flies in the late summer. It's what leads to my excess of frogs and toads as well. My house is covered in crane flies, snails, and tree frogs during late summer/early fall.

Hate em for personal reasons. When I was a kid one flew right into my eye and was stuck in my eye socket until the next day. Thanks to my low-flying friend I was blind in that eye, which was now horribly inflamed, and had to wear an eye patch. I noticed it's wing sticking out the corner of my eye and peeled it out myself, but I still had to look like a pirate for nearly a week while I took eye drops. For the ultimate irony this all went down when I was on my way to the ear/nose/throat doctors office, where they all just kind of shrugged their shoulders at my problem " title="cookie" />
