Allow me to explain some match-ups.

Psychic > Fighting - Brain over brawn.

Dark > Psychic/Ghost > Psychic/Bug > Psychic -
The three main phobias. Fear of the dark, fear of bugs and fear of ghosts.

Flying > Fighting - "Have you ever tried to punch a bird?"

Also, Ice and Water is retarded because if you were to use an Ice Beam on water, you would assume that the water would freeze, correct? Sure, Ice Beam could freeze anything, but in my mind, I would think that because it's already water, that it would be much more effective if the substance being frozen was already made up of water.

I think the Ice/Water thing is that Ice doesn't actually damage the water at all, just changes it's physical state. Also, fish can live in frozen ponds because the Ice can only go so far down.

Same argument can be said for Fire/Steel and Fire/Ice. Fire just changes the physical state of metal and water, so why is it Super Effective against both?

Metal usually has a very specific task, if it's melted even when it re-forms it's not gonna be able to take it's original task. e.g. Melt a girder and it's not a girder anymore.

Water will be water whatever it's physical state but Ice refers solely to the solid form which can't last at even room temperatures, so has no hope against fire.

Dear god in heaven....OKay, if we go that way Kerf, shouldn't that logic apply to everything when it come to fire, I mean if you heat water it becomes steam, why isn't fire supper effective against Water !

did you not read my earlier post? I said water will be water whatever state it's in. Liquid, Solid or Gas. That's why it resists both Fire and Ice.

A girder is made out of metal. Melt metal and you still have metal.

Metals can have Solid, Liquid, and Gaseous states as well.
