Entropy and Enemies and Sentimentality

Taylor took a second too long clearing her eyes and caught a punch on the jaw. She fell back onto her butt, shook her head while Adrian wriggled out from under her. She tried to push off the ground and get back up, just in time for Adrian's forehead to smash into her face.

She fell onto her back, almost sliding down the ramp, and put one hand over her nose. She checked, and blood was already running out onto her lips. It hurt like hell, and made her eyes water even more. Not wanting to stay still, she rolled back over her shoulder and got to her feet, stumbling back a few steps before she caught her balance.

She blinked repeatedly, trying to clear her bleary eyes, while backing up a few more steps. She was ready to go if Adrian followed, but she still couldn't see very clearly.

Shit. There was nothing in the world worse than getting beat on by Adrian. She sucked.

Adrian winced as their heads collided, her forehead still stinging from their earlier collision as she picked herself up. She wasn't sure where this new found energy was coming from: rage, self-preservation, confidence? Either way the adrenaline was pumping now and she was ready to just fight until she couldn't any more.

Dashing straight at Taylor she aimed to slam her boot into her foe's chest "EAT IT!" She screamed.

With Adrian rapidly approaching, Taylor acted on instinct. She threw herself forward and swung her arm out to meet Adrian with a stiff clothesline. Unfortunately for her, Adrian's boot slammed into her chest, leaving her arm to hit nothing but air, and sent her back down. She rolled to one side, pain obvious on her face as she clutched her arms against her hurting chest.

Again she scrambled to her feet, still off balance and staggering down the ramp. There was no way she was going to stay down, but she needed a second to get her bearings.

Adrian felt a warm sense of satisfaction wash over as her boot knocked Taylor back down. The cosplayer starting to bounce on her feet as Taylor stumbled away before charging in again, looking to tackle her back towards the ring, either taking the punk off her feet or ramming her into the ring's edge.

Taylor lined herself up and hooked her arms under Adrian's shoulders as she charged, sprawling her legs back to keep Adrian from being able to knock her down and fold her in half. Momentum was on Adrian's side, and Taylor was quickly forced back. She would've held her off, but Adrian plowed her back all the way to the ring apron.

Her lower back crashed into the side of the ring. "Aaaaha!" She screamed and arched her back before folding over on Adrian's back. She lifted one arm and hammered her elbow into Adrian's spine as hard as she could manage, but there wasn't much power on hand from her position pinned against the ring.

"Gah!" Adrian yelped as Taylor started to fight back,it wasn't to bad of a blow to take, but with her shoulder in her gut already, there wasn't much she could do from her position, it was too awkward to try and punch her back doubled over like this so she retreated. Message delivered.

Lia reclined in her chair, stretching, watching the two girls go at it. She switched on her mic and quipped, mostly to the crowd, "Best seat in the house, right here folks."

Lia winced noticeably as Adrian's kick practically knocked Taylor's whole torso off and slammed her into the hard ramp floor. "Yikes... You know folks..." Lia began to speak, "I just want to remind you all, details get lost in these sorts of things. Taylor... that's the girl who is getting her ass beat right now..." Lia stood up and pointed to the girls. "Taylor picked this fight. She called out Adrian, she goaded Adrian, and when Adrian called her out, she swung first. This is Taylor's fight and..." Lia rolled her finger with each point, pausing just as Taylor hit the ring. "Oh MAN is she getting her ASS kicked. Oh wow." Lia whistled. She waved toward Taylor in a grand gesture, "Ladies and gentleman, your champ behaving with characteristic grace." Turning back to the audience, Lia winked and pointed at Taylor, "Now, pay attention to this pattern, Taylormaniacs. It happens every time. She insults. Gets insulted back. She fights. Gets fought back. Sometimes she even cries. Those are the best, boy... have I got some stories for you all..." Lia plopped back in the chair with a knowing chuckle.

As Adrian backed off, Taylor slid down the ring apron and ended up sitting against it with her knees against her chest and her feet on the floor in front of her. She held her forearms up on either side of her head for protection, in case Adrian decided to go with anything else. She wasn't totally sure why she'd backed off right then, but she was glad she did.

Even while getting beat up, she couldn't tune out Lia's commentary. She also couldn't pretend that the words didn't hurt. And the fact that she was saying this to the entire crowd... She was humiliated. She'd only got used to the idea of the crowd liking her, now they'd definitely turn on her with Lia there to so clearly articulate all the ways in which Taylor sucked.

She got up to a crouch, back against the apron, and looked up at Adrian. By the look on her face, it was obvious how she felt. Cut down and humiliated and ganged up on, and it could only have been all her fault, and the fact that she wanted so badly to cry right there in front of everyone... It was a low, low moment for her.

She caught her breath and got ready to move if Adrian came back in at her. She steeled herself for another fight, and forced herself to get composed, even a little.

"What's the matter? Can't finish the job?" She huffed. She really hoped Adrian was done with her. But then, if she wasn't, fuck her. Taylor would die with her hands wrapped around Adrian's throat.

The cosplayer only just remembered that there was a bunny girl with them before she started the fight, she was too caught up in beating up Taylor to notice everything around her. Lia's commentary only now registered in her brain as she looked down at Taylor, anguish written on her face and just felt horrible.

"Shut up!" She yelled at the snarking rabbit. "And I bet you're sooo much more mature than her, just sitting back and making fun of her while she's fighting someone else! Well since you got named challenger, why don't you do some fighting for once?" If there was anything Adrian hated more than Taylor it was a bully, and that's what Lia was being right now. She didn't care if she was ganging up on Taylor with her, that was not cool. "Shut up." She hissed back at Taylor as well.

Taylor grimaced and grit her teeth and got back to her feet. She dusted herself off. Most of the way up the ramp, her new belt laid on the floor where she'd dropped it unceremoniously before tackling Adrian. She sighed. Everything was going well until the two people she hated most in the world showed up. It was her fault, in a way, she's the one who challenged Lia just to rope her in and to see what Adrian would do.

She got herself under control enough to clear her face of any obvious emotion, and then put on a grin. It was a faint glimmer of her usual bright, energetic grin.

"Well won't this be fun." She said without a mic. She wiped at her eyes which were still a bit watery from the headbutt and Adrian's claws. Her back and her chest ached, but she didn't show it at all. "Hey, I have an idea, how about I fight both of you at once. Shutting both of you up would be amazing. Then after I kick your ass for a second time, two-on-one, even, there won't be any doubt about who belongs where."

She looked past Adrian to Lia and waved at her. "Lia! Go back to the gym, honey bun, I don't need you getting a cramp and quitting two minutes into the match. Let's at least put on a show, yeah?"

The worst part was that at that point, she just wanted it to be over so she wouldn't ever have to see either of them again. But she knew she couldn't just brush them aside like that. They were her problems, and she had to deal with them. In this case, she had to kick Lia's ass, so that hopefully Adrian would step up. Then she had to kick her ass too. It was pretty simple, really.

Taylor stood in front of Adrian, and fixed her eyes on her. It seemed as though they'd both got the scrap out of their systems for now, but Taylor wasn't going to be the first to walk away. She stared at Adrian with her hand on her hip, making it clear that she wasn't going to run away. It didn't matter what they did or said about her, she wasn't giving in to them.
