Dark Match: Merith vs. Jean Grey

Merith was shocked to see that her boot didn't daze Jean more as she watched the redhead try to scramble back to her feet. Merith frowned and tried to scoop Jean up and hold her against Merith's chest. If she got this far she'd then drive Jean's spine into her knee in a backbreaker, leaving her arched over the Amazon's leg...

Jean was suddenly scooped up and then dropped across Merith's knee. She let out a catacalysmic scream from this devestating move lying helpless across her opponent's leg.

Merith smiled and moved one hand to Jean's chin and the other to one of Jean's thighs. Using her strength she started to bend Jean further in half, trying to force her sweet submission. Merith's arms flexed at the effort she put in, trying to snap Jean in two...

"Ahhhhhh..."

"Ahhhhhhhhh!!!!""

"AAAHHHHHHHHHHGHHHHHH!!!!""

Jean's tortured screams grew in pitch as she was bent further in two by Merith. The ref was by her head asking for her submission.

"No!!!!"

Jean's voice cracked as she cried out her denial.

"Jean! Do you submit!"

"NOOOO!!!!!"

Jean's voice there almost seemed to hold a hint of a sob. She was still stubbornly trying to hold out despite the pain.

"Give it up, Jean!!" Merith commanded as she ruthlessly bent Jean further, her hands strongly squeezing Jean's thigh and face. She pressed harder, bouncing her knee slightly to add an extra twinge of pain to Jean's torture...

Jean was bent until the back of her head under Merith's leg. Then she made some frantic arm gesture at the ref with one last strangled cry. The ref seemed to take the hint and was gesturing for the bell to be rung since Jean had finally submitted.

Merith heard the bell and grinned as she shoved the defeated Jean Grey off her knee and onto the mat, getting a supportive ovation from the crowd. In fact the crowd was cheering them both as Jean put up a hell of a fight and had Merith on the ropes for part of it. Merith sighed and looked down at Jean, rubbing her sore arm. She waited for the defeated opponent to rise to her feet...

Jean wouldn't be rising anytime soon. She took a lot of damage from a hold she had tried to hold out against. She would start to crawl weakly turning at one point in Merith's direction.

Merith watched Jean crawl away until she looked back. From here Merith gave Jean a smile and an approving nod. They weren't friends now by any means, but Jean had earned a bit of the Amazon's respect. With that, Merith rolled out of the ring carefully and headed for the back... maybe her victory would show those who scheduled the matches that she was ready for the show...
