Clash of the Gladiatrixes, Mika vs Midori

At this point it was up to Mika. Midori continued to hold on to the grip. Would Mika give in, or would Mika make the rope break?

"Gnngh...nnnnh...nnnnnnnHHAAAAAA!" Mika moaned as Midori worked her over. By this point, she was sweating bullets as Midori cranked her leg back even further, sending jolts of pain shooting up her leg and her spine. She wanted to tap out at this point, but she knew she couldn't- she didn't want to admit defeat yet, not when she could still potentially win this.

Shutting her eyes, Mika buried her masked face in the mat before lunging forwards, swinging her arm down and barely hooking a finger over the bottom rope. At this point, the referee tapped Midori on the shoulder, telling her to let go.

Midori at first kept the hold on the leg until she looked around in confusion and noticed Mika holding onto the ropes. She let out a shout of frustrationn and practically shoved Mika's leg away as she was forced to let go. She was kind of disappointed that victory ahd been so close but has escaped her grasp.

She angrily pushed herself up and glared down at the injured Mika.

"Get up!"

She gestured at Mika angrily waiting for ehr to rise and intending to kick out at her gut if and when she did.

Mika groaned as she lay on the mat, her fingers slipping off the ropes as she turned her head to the side, catching her breath. She did her best not to show it, but Midori had really put the hurt on her with that last hold, and her back and leg now felt sore. She inwardly wondered how this would affect her mobility for the rest of the match, but tried not to think about it. She needed to focus on winning.

Huffing, she pushed herself up to her knees, hearing Midori shout at her to get up. "I"m getting up...quit being...so impatient..." she grumbled. Her answer came in the form of a swift kick to the gut that doubled her over instantly. "OOOF!" She sank further onto her knees, clutching her midsection with one hand. "D-dammit..."

Again Midori was getting desperate to finish this match. With Mika doubled over from the gut kick she would try to step foeward and bend down and encircle her arms around Mika's body.

She was now going to attempt to set up rainbow Mika for her other finisher move, the Phoenix Bomb. A powerful sit out powerbomb. Would Mika be able to actually lift her up and take her down for this or would Mika try to fight out?

As Mika doubled over, she felt Midori's body suddenly press down against her, and her arms slide around her waist. Blushing slightly from the close contact, Mika felt alarm bells going off in her brain when she realized that Midori was setting her up for some sort of power bomb!

Breathing heavily, Mika braced herself, trying to resist the bomb while countering by grabbing the back of Midori's knees. If she managed to prevent Midori from executing the power bomb, then Mika would try to counter by leaning backwards and flipping Midori over her onto her back. If this failed as well, however, then the Rainbow Warrior would simply settle with nailing Midori with a few punches to her midsection.

Midori went to heave Mika but she held firm much to Midori's shock. Then she gave a cry of alarm as Mika was able to flip her overhead and onto her back. Midori started to get up but was heavily dazed.

For a few seconds, Mika lay on her back after executing that reversal slam, still winded from that nasty gut shot Midori had given her. Slowly, though, she rolled over onto her side and pushed herself to her hands and knees opposite Midori. "Ow...you're...good..." she managed to say.

Slowly, Mika staggered up to her feet, grabbing at Midori's head to pull her up as well...moving to slide one arm around Midori's shoulder and another around her thigh, Mika tried to hoist her opponent up onto her shoulders, aiming to execute a weary airplane spin before falling back and slamming Midori hard into the mat again...

Mika was able to pick Midori up and set ehr up for the airplane spin. Midori cried out in shock and surprise as she was secured by the blonde and then felt her world spin around before she was dropped hard to the mat.

She gave a harsh cry and rolled over, breathing hard and sweating bullets. Was she finally open to a finisher?

Mika, however, wasn't ready for a finisher just yet. As she slammed Midori back down, she sprawled exhaustedly onto her back, lying with her head against her opponent. Her chest heaved as she caught her breath, and, noticing that she was in the perfect position for it, she leaned against Midori and hooked one of her legs for the pinfall.

The ref instantly started the countdown again. "One..."
