If you live in the United States, please join the Electronic Freedom Foundation (and me) in contacting your' Congressional representatives and senators and telling them that you oppose the Stop Online Piracy Act in the house and the Protect IP Act in the senate.

NEWS FLASH: the Archergurl who you speaking of is not part of AFW anymore and she's currently working in production for new game titles in Japan. I'm her Canadian friend who she gave her PC due to mines has crashed. She was nice enough to give it to me to help a friend in need. So she got a spared one that she uses for the things I've mention above. BTW, Anegge and Alexandra be sure to check the E-mail adresses carefully. As Archergurl and me aren't the same thing.

As it turns out, with the US owning a decent portion of the internet, this becomes a problem for everyone outside of US also (Wikipedia's blackout protest today proved to be very effective in bringing to light the issues which I had previously not taken that much of an interest to).

I will relay the basic message they Wiki already published... If you live outside the US, you can still do something although it is a little more difficult. You can contact your local ministry of Foreign Affairs and tell them you oppose SOPA and PIPA... For UK people this is the "Foreign and Commonwealth Office"..

You will be able to find your ministers of Foreign affairs via wiki (wait until after the black out or disable java script), link below:

Follow the link to the correct country you are from and you will find the website of your Foreign minister in the information area on the right hand side. I do not honestly know whether pressure from foreign ministers will effect decisions in the US, but at the very least it will nip in the butt attempts to replicate similar ideas across the world


Also raising awareness where ever possible can be helpful
