Volcanica vs Nico - submission style

"The following contest, set on best 2 out of 3 falls, submissions only to score one point... will see the young and enthusiast NIIICOOO, from Tension !!!"

Nico's theme echoed around the arena as the cute Italian boy made his entrance, rewarding the cheering fans, especially some young girls that seemed to appreciate his not exactely wrestler-like looks, with nice smiles and high-fives.
Under all his smiling to the crowd, Nico was quite nervous though. A submission style match was going to be at his disadvantage, since he was not such a skilled wrestler. Well, more precisely, he had little to none wrestling background in first place. "Oh well... i'll come out with something...", he sighed and did some stretching waiting for his opponent in the middle of the ring.

"..And his opponent, from Friction... the cute and relentless... VOOOLCANICAAAA...!!!"

Suddenly, “Faint” by Linkin Park started to play as four lights appeared and started to circle the arena. When they hit the center, a massive fire erupted at the start of the heavy metal guitar. Once the fire died down, there stood a girl wearing a dark red sleeveless jacket with collars covering her nose and mouth, black fingerless gloves, dark red pants and boots, and flaming hair.

She started to street dance as the first verse started out, but before the chorus came in, she jumped and pointed at one side and one fire erupted (not harming the audience though mind you). The same happened as she pointed to the other side. She then began to do a cartwheel and three flips while heading to the arena, and every time she landed more fire burst out. Then she back flipped to the top rope, keeping her balance, and finally did a double axle into the ring.

Her hand also caught on fire but she sucked it up surprisingly and blew out smoke into her hand before the fires died out. She looked at Nico with fire in her eyes and pure determination on her face.

Nico looked around as throwing flames sprung from about all sides. Sure thing Volcanica's starting show was spectacular, he thought. And, it made quite clear who was the favorite of the crowd.

Nico tossed his shirt apart trying not to look very impressed though he actually was. He was now wearing wrestling boots and pants with an italian patch on the sides, his attire showing that the boy was evidently NOT on the bulky side.
"Well then, let's make a good show..", he said assuming a fighting stance and starting to circle around Volcanica after the bell rung.

Volcanica raised an eyebrow when Nico removed his shirt and showed that he wasn't bulky at all. Her eyes watched him closely as he circled around her after the bell rung. She then spoke in her native British accent. "A good show? What are you supposed to be? Comedy relief?" She too would get in her own fighting stance and prepared for Nico.

Nico flushed at her taunt. He had just tried to be friendly after all "Nice sharp tongue... now let's see if you have wrestling skills to match it!" , he replied advancing for a starting lockup, and trying to follow with a standing headlock if he could.

Volcanica would put her hands like a surrender and said, "Hey come on, I was just teasing ya. But still, that doesn't mean you should take me bloody lightly!" She would follow on the lockup, but she then was placed in a standing headlock. She would try to pry herself loose from his grip and if she did, she would give a few punches to his face before grabbing his and attempt a standing armlock.

He had to admit that Volcanica was very energetic: losing the grip on her head, Nico was hit by a series of punches and quickly trapped in her armlock, but he was ready to react.

Doing a couple of swift rolls onto the mats (as he had learned from his friend Ataru), Nico tried to reverse the armlock control into his favor. If successful, he would try to bend Volcanica's arm into a half-hammerlock.
But if Volcanica manteined her control the boy would groan in pain, fruitlessly trying to wriggle his arm loose.

Volcanica was quite surprised when Nico suddenly rolled onto the mat to reverse the submission and now she's in Nico's grip in the half-hammerlock. She started to cringe and growl in pain as she tried to wriggle herself out. "You do realize that I don't give up easily." Seeing that she had a free arm, she would try to punch at the side of Nico's head to try and make him let go.

Nico groaned and was compelled to let go, taking a staggering step back.
"Ungh... for a submission style match you're quite the striker... maybe you're afraid to lose at grappling? " title="Razz" />", he teased, sticking his tongue at the red-headed girl.

The crowd was roaring wildly, appreciating this starting exchange of techniques between the contenders.

Volcanica smirked when Nico stuck his tongue at her in a teasing mood. "Of course not. I am quite skilled when it comes to grappling, I just don't want to do anything special about it yet. But if you insist..." She would then raise her hands out to Nico for a test of strength. "I just want to give a little preview before the big show."
