Yuki "Maelstrom" Yoshida vs Tiss "The Succubus Warrior"

Soft footsteps could be heard as Yuki walked down the path keeping her eyes open. It wasn't a fun job, but as a vampire ninja it was necessary to do scouting and patrols to make sure everything was fine. Whether it was a rival clan or some other creature it wouldn't be good to have strange occurrences within their territory. Having set up a barrier that would give normal humans a feeling of needing to avoid the park or leave it there wasn't much worry about being seen by anyone that Yuki didn't want to be seen by. She was more than strong enough to deal with regular threats and if her life was in danger she had a dangerous trump card, though she would prefer not to play it.

Needing to slip into normal society Yuki was walking around in her school uniform. A white top with a red ribbon on the front, she also had a plaid skirt which was somewhat short. Of course that wouldn't be completely fitting for a vampire ninja so she had her pitch black cloak wrapped around her body as she moved. She could see very well in the dark so she was simply keeping her eyes open and investigating. If there was nothing she could always go home and enjoy a nice meal to reward herself.

Normally demons and succubi loved the huge cities humans constructed and lived in, since it made feeding so much easier. There are prey everywhere for the taking, since the humans grew complacent when surrounded by so many like them, and their supernatural senses wee dulled to the point of nonexistence. Many of them don't even realize a succubus has their bollocks until they were nothing but a shriveled husk. And so few of them had any experience with supernatural forces, it was just too easy!

But even then, Tis found that she didn't like cities. They were too artificial, too controlled. She got used to living in more wild places; after wandering around the Earth for nearly half a millennium, living in places where she couldn't be hunted. But now she found herself in a city, surrounded by people who could not harm her. It bored her, and made her uneasy.

She was lazing about in the park when suddenly she felt a barrier go up. It surprised her quite a bit; she hadn't been expecting any human to have this kind of ability. And it wasn't any barrier she had seen before. Tiss immediatly hid herself in the branches of a tree, watching for whoever did this. To her surprise, a small girl walked down the path of the park. She looked like a normal schoolgirl, with the exception of the dark cloak wrapped around her body. Tiss watched this girl intently, keeping herself hidden. She was interested in this girl, curious as to exactly what she was...

Continuing her stroll Yuki just had a gut feeling that something was going on. Peering around she kept her focus sharp hoping to catch a glimpse of something. "Geeze what is it?" She asked herself as she slowed her movements. While she didn't outright see anything her instincts were saying there was something out there to be aware of.

Moving towards one of the taller trees she sighed before jumping. It was a quick jump that took her to one of the higher branches. "Might as well take a better look around." She said to herself as she peered into the darkness. Outright flying would be too obvious and she could take a good look around like this.

"I'm definitely heading back to get some ramen after this." She commented to herself having a good chance to look around.

When the girl stopped and looked around, Tiss wondered if she had been discovered. That would put her in a pretty bad situation. But luckily, it seemed that the girl just felt a little uneasy. Still, Tiss knew that it wouldn't be long before she was found out. The girl had good senses, it seemed.

Right as the girl jumped up into one of the taller trees, Tiss silently slipped out, quickly jumping to another branch while still covered by the leaves. She wanted to stay in this girl's blind spot and slowly approach. Tiss was curious as to what this girl was, and the best way to find out was to ambush her and beat her as quickly as she could, so she can get some answers. The girl chose a good vantage point, but Tiss was hiding herself quite well as well. Folding her wings back, silently slinking through the trees, she approached her prey.

Yuki hadn't spotted anyone yet, but her instincts were telling her that there was definitely something out there. Though she couldn't be sure if it was something major or just a pretty harmless creature. At any rate she could only keep her eyes peeled for any possible movement.

The fact that she wasn't seeing anything was bothering her. "There are just days like this." Either she was just being too sensitive or it was trouble. Either way all she could do was sharply examine the ground and the area in front of her. There was time before she would have to turn and check out a different part of the park.

Kneeling on the branch she was unaware of the approach. Though her gut feeling kept getting stronger.

Tiss moved as silently as she could, but she wasn't very used to sneaking around. She had never been trained to do this, and her movements couldn't be so silent that a trained ninja wouldn't notice her. She was eventually bound to slip up.

As she slinked closer and closer, moving from branch to branch, her foot suddenly slipped. Tiss recovered as quickly as she could, but she couldn't keep a few pieces of bark from falling from the branch. Knowing now that the girl probably noticed this, Tiss moved quickly, hoping to get to another branch before this girl could counterattack.

It was easy enough for Yuki to focus on the area in front of her until she heard that slight movement from behind. Grabbing leaves from the tree which quickly hardened into solid shuriken. Turning instantly she threw them directly where she heard the sound. She had no idea what was out there, but in her business you didn't leave an opening.

After throwing she jumped towards the branch where she heard the sound peering and trying to catch sight of whatever had made the sound.

Tiss stopped bothering to try and hide her location. Whoever this girl was, she knew exactly where she was now. So, Tiss opened her wings, and flapped them, releasing some darkness powder as well to hide herself. She noticed how the girl threw leaves at her, wondering what hat was all about, until she noticed that they were strangely enough made of metal. Tiss wondered what this power was, surprised a little and very curious at this power.

She flapped her wings noisily, releasing as much powder as she could, flying quickly upwards. Hopefully Yuki would be surprised by this, and not be able to follow Tiss upwards. She still wanted to know a little more about this girl's power before revealing herself.

Yuki wasn't sure yet who was behind this, but she had a bad feeling when she spotted some movement and possible wings flapping. Though it became harder to spot anything when some kind of powder was being spread around.

"Geeze what is this? I can't see a thing. Some kind of stealth powder?" She hadn't seen that kind of stuff being used before, but whatever it was seemed to be effective. She was a bit worried since there was no telling if there were other effects to the powder.

Quickly the leaves around her again started to swirl around her. Amazingly enough large wings were now attached to her back. Flapping those wings Yuki started to take off flying away from that tree before worrying about gaining altitude. "This isn't going to be a quiet night." She commented to herself. "Who's out there?!" She yelled out trying to pinpoint their location.

The bad thing about Tiss's darkness spell was that she couldn't see through it either. Still, her opponent was making things easy by not being stealthy at all, yelling out and calling out to her. Using this, Tiss flapped around to where she thought the voice was, trying to get behind and surprise this girl.

She didn't notice that they were flying higher and higher until she realized the sounds of rustling branches were nearly all gone. And Tiss had released most of the powder stored in her wings already. They were really high up now. Tiss soon ran out of powder, which allowed for the black haze to slowly clear. And now she was completely revealed. Silhuetted against the bright moon, Tiss flapped he wings, remaining still, waiting for the rest of the haze to clear so she could see what her opponent was doing.
