Re: Sort of Kind of Maybe proper introduction
Thank would be a good idea.
Since you come from an e-fed background, allow me to give you some pointers about the main differences between how normal e-feds run and how AFW runs.
1) There are no cards in AFW. While e-feds usually use the cocenpt of a card like a wrestling show with some scheduled matches happening at a certain event and time, AFW is more free flow. Matches happen in a sort of time limbo with the only connection between them being the one the players wish them to have. The are no shows, no PPV (although there is a forum for special matches named like that) and no main events. This has de advantage of you treating the story of your characters as you wish (along with those playing with you), and the disadvantage of sometimes causing some continuity issues if you aren't careful.
2) There are no adjudicators in AFW. Or more like the adjudicator is your opponent. When you post a move in a e-fed it usually comes to an adjudicator (referee) to determine if the move suceeds or fail. This is done either by using the stats of the characters and random rolls, or the subjective criteria of the hopefully impartial adjudicator. In AFW the success or failure of your moves is determined by your opponent (With the assumption we are all mature and fair people). Although some character bios include stats, some even with numbers, they are completely disregarded or at best used merely as RP guidelines. To determine who wins players usually agree before hand, without any sort of outside mediation, or let the RP 'flow' and see what happens, again with the assumption we are all mature players.
3) Although there are titles and a sort of rankings in AFW, that certainly isn't the focus of the forum. They are more like props for storytelling than anything.
4) There is a lot more sex and non-combat RP than in any standard e-fed, probably than in any e-fed period.
5) There is no main storyline. Or more likely, you'll see that most players treat their RPs as if those were The Main storyline.
In resume, it is a lot more free and less structured, organized and constrained.

Technically it's Big Boss and that's camoflauge face paint. It was based on MGS3.
