Sarah O'Sullivan and Tia Baker vs Mia Kay and Rythm Rhyme

It was fairly quiet in the locker room. This was the most serious fight that Sarah had gotten into and it was a debut for Tia. A team match is a pretty tough thing for two girls who were thrown into this together. So they had spent the few hours they had after being notified of the match to chat and get a feel for each other. Being both from Canada they at least had that in common and could talk about being away from home. It wasn't a lot of time to talk, but they both felt fairly comfortable with each other and would have to build the trust as they went. At least they were feeling pretty energetic about the match and would be ready to go when they got out there. The seriousness of the winning conditions made them more focused than they might have been normally which would hopefully give them an advantage in this match.

"Ok let's do it. Is it fine if I go first?" Sarah asked Tia so they would have a good idea about how to handle the match when they got out there. "Yeah that's fine. It'd be easier to watch at the start anyways." Tia nodded as they heard the music starting up. They decided to just use half of each of their songs. It wasn't the most perfect solution, but they really didn't have much better in mind for this. As they went out there they were both swept up in the energy. This was a pretty straight forward kind of match which at least made them both feel a bit more confident. Besides heading out there with someone else just helped to change the atmosphere. Sliding into the ring they were both waving and trying to enjoy the moment since when they got started it would be all seriousness and no time for laughs.

Meanwhile in the backstage, Mia wasn't happy one bit. Why? Because she was stuck with the most boring person on the planet as her partner. All Rythm ever did was eat and sleep. She couldn't even hold a proper conversation, all she ever did was say a few words or so.

Even when trying to talk to her, she was like a brick wall, completly acting like she wasn't there at all. Still she was her partner for the upcoming match up against Sarah and Tia.

It was supposed to be a knockout match, which in turn excited Mia, she loved it when things got bloody and brutal. In this match she was going to go all out, The only problem was...

Turning behind she saw her partner sleeping on the bench. "Sigh...how did I get caught up someone like her." She asked herself.

Waiting for the match to begin which she knew it was only moments away, she mentally tried pscyhing herself up, all the while ignoring Rythm who was sleeping on the bench.

If there was anything positive when it came to this match for Sarah and Tia it was that they could get along with each other pretty well. There was the unfamiliarity with only having just met, but that was better than not getting along at all.

Sarah was more cheerful than Tia, but she still had the ability to stay focused on this match. Not being focused would mean them getting beaten up and that wasn't appealing to either. While Tia had a few rough times before her first match even started she was ready to jump right into this. It wasn't that she liked to hurt anyone, but it would be energizing to just focus on a straight forward match.

Both of them would just wait for their opponents after getting to the ring. They didn't have a concrete strategy, but supporting each other seemed like enough to get through this.

Realizing it was time, Mia simply shook Rythm awake and told it that it was time to begin the match. the sleepyhead simply nodded as she got up and let loose a loud yawn.

"Sigh..." Mia sighed, wondering why she got stuck with her once more.

Regardless she could do nothing and go with it. And thus when the time came, she confidentally, or at least wanted to walk down the walkway confidentally, but realize it was out of the option considering that Rythm was still half asleep.

So instead of walking out with a confident issue while the theme blaze was playing, Mia was instead dragging Rythm by her arms while she was still half asleep while walking down the walkway.

The crowd seeing this started laughing at them.

Mia really prayed her opponents didn't see the state of that entrance or she would never live it down.

When finally their opponents started to head out both girls were curiously keeping their eyes on them. It was certainly an odd sight to see one girl actually dragging the other along.

Seeing the sight Sarah couldn't help giggling. She wasn't trying to be mean but the image was just too comical for her to resist. Tia had a smile but was a bit more curious about her opponents. "Strange..." Tia said out loud, she didn't think anyone got into the AFW without a reason so clearly both had skills. Whether the sleepy girl's actions were a rouse or something more remained to be seen.

"Come on Sarah please stay sharp." Tia said quietly and Sarah managed to pull back to a large grin. She wasn't taking this lightly either, but she just had a weakness for comical scenes like that and the crowd wasn't helping.

"Hey I'll be going first all right?" Mia asked, as she left her partner as she stepped into the ring.

yet there was no reply, and thus she turned around, where she saw her partner sleeping on the ropes. "WAKE THE FUCK UP ALREADY!!" She screamed as she punched her on the head.

For a moment it almost seemed as if the punch had no effect until Rythm suddenly opened her eyes and yawned. "Oh good morning..." SHe simply greeted with a yawn.

Mia could feel a headache forming, but quickly brushed it aside. "Look, stay awake, the match is starting." She ordered as she turned around to face her opponent.

The other two girls just had to stare a bit dumbfounded at the sight before them. It really did seem like a strange comedy routine with those two. There was some surprise when one just snapped and punched the other, the fact that the only effect was just waking her up a bit made them think. If anything it appeared the other girl was pretty durable.

Tia shrugged as she slipped out of the ring and waited on the other side of the ropes. "Well be careful, seems that girl is already pretty riled up already." Sarah grinned and stretched a bit getting focused for this.

"Everything good over there?" Sarah called out with a smile ready for this. Sure it might be dangerous, but that's what it always came down to in the end. If she couldn't handle that there was no point in being here.

No matter what response she'd get Sarah could only wait for the bell to ring. When it did she would charge out of the gate. It would be a pretty straight forward plan to try and bypass whatever attack was coming her way and bounce off the far ropes for an attempted clothesline. Speed was the key to Sarah's game so she had to make use of it.

If speed was Sarah's game, then Insanity was Mia's. Whenever Mia was in doubt or in trouble she always had the idea to do something stupid and crazy, so crazy in fact even the most experience people wouldn't even think of doing.

And currently Mia was in doubt when Sarah took the first charge, usually it was her. Still it was good change, because she was confuse, she decided to play it safe.

When Sarah ran towards her she was expecting a spear or a clothesline, as such she simply side stepped it. But it was then did she realize there was no attack at all.

thankful she didn't attack or it would have left her open, she was able to see the clothesline as Sarah rebounded off the ropes.

Now normally a normal person would counter with a spear or a clothesline or an overhead toss, but Mia's thinking wasn't normal.

Instead she sidestepped and postioned herself, so that when Sarah attempted to clothesline her, she would grab her arm and instead spin her around once, twice, and finally a third time before swinging her to the ropes, hoping the extra momentum would dizzy Sarah so that she when she swung back towards her, she won't see Mia ready for a haymaker to her face.

Not being the most technical it seemed to Sarah that moving quickly and catching someone offguard would be the best move. Of course just because there was a strategy doesn't mean it was going to actually work. Still when in doubt Sarah thought it was best to just focus on her strengths and see how far that would get her.

Sarah had hoped that the rush would help throw her opponent into disaray, but instead it made her more cautious which hurt the attack. Seeing her attack not going as planned Sarah didn't have much time to consider an alternate method.

Surprised when her arm got grabbed and she started to get spun around. A cry coming out as she was getting a little dizzy from the counter. Hitting the ropes didn't give Sarah much time to think. Her movement off the ropes and back to Mia made it impossible to just try and block since she really couldn't make out her opponent that well at all. Tia wasn't liking the looks of this at all. "Haymaker! Go low!"

Hoping her opponent wouldn't move Sarah maneuvered herself into a spear, following Tia's advice. They weren't that close yet, but if Sarah's eyes were too dizzy she had to have some faith. Yelling would let Mia hear, but there was nothing to do but give it a shot. If she missed it'd be a pretty unfortunate run into the ropes on the other side.

"Haymaker go low!" Mia had heard that loud and clear as Tia called out to her.

"Fuck..." She cursed silently, now Sarah was going to noticed it, there was no time to change attacks as Sarah was already too close, and so she instead chose to dodge the attack.

Dropping her fist, she attempted to spin around to the left, but she wasn't fast enough, and while she avoided the charge partially, her stomach was hti by Sarah's shoulders as she spun around.

"Gah!!" She cired out as Sarah's right shoulder had hit her side of her stomach, still it was good in a sense.

Because Spear's usually replied on the enemy's body to stop,

While Sarah's Spear had hit Mia, it was only a graze, which granted still hurt, but that wasn't the point, the point was that because Sarah's charge didn't collide with anything solid, Sarah had no way to stop herself, and Mia was confident that Sarah was going to charge and land inbetween the ropes where she would throw herself out and land facefirst on the ground outside the ring.
