Nikolette Tessla Vs. Cassie Elliot

Nikolette felt Cassie move and was a little too slow as Cassie crawled on top of her. Ahgu!" She sputtered as her throat was closed off. This was a bad situation. She did indeed, not know wrist control and she'd be down on the ground quickly if she didn't do something. This sort of hold could easily knock her out and end the match. But she had been oddly finessing with Cassie the whole match. She needed to show her the power that she had as a hardened laborer. her hands went down to Cassie's legs and she gripped them and turned her body. She would then lean forward, seemingly giving Cassie more leverage against her throat. She would then push herself off and try and drive them both backwards. If she could, she would try and smash Cassie between her and the closest turnbuckle.

"Ooohhhhhhhhhhhhhkay..." Cassie huffed and groaned as her back slammed into the turnbuckle. That didn't feel very good. She held on, though, squeezing her choke for dear life.

Not wanting a repeat performance from Nikolette, Cassie stretched one of her legs back and managed to hook her ankle around one of the ropes. She pulled on the rope to keep Nikolette from being able to get the space required to slam her against the turnbuckle again or flatten her against the mat. This girl was strong, for sure. It was like she was fighting some kind of burly longshoreman... woman.

Nikolette couldn't believe it when her slam not only failed to pry Cassie off of her but allowed her to strengthen the hold she had. What the heck! She thought. but the solution was simple enough. With Cassie using one leg to try and hook the ropes, Nikolette grabbed the opposite rope with her hand and pulled on it. If Cassie wanted to maintain a grip, she would have to adjust her position and leave herself open for an elbow strike. Otherwise, Nikolette would pry Cassie from the ropes and try and slam her into the turnbuckle once more. Though if this didn't work, She'd be forced to her knees, the choke and her own strains having finally taken its toll on her.

Cassie was still young. She often lacked patience. She wanted to finish the fight right then and there, and when Nikolette started trying to pry herself free with the rope, Cassie fought to hold onto her choke. In the process, she'd made her head a nice, neat target and ate an elbow to the face in the process. It wasn't delivered with enough room to be too damaging, but Nikolette's strength and the torque she put into it dazed Cassie. Her hands slipped and she dropped to the mat.

Covering her eye socket with one hand, where the elbow had landed, she groaned. She knew she was vulnerable where she was, though, and she needed to keep Nikolette from beating her up while she recovered. She scrambled at the girl's legs, trying to wrap her arms around them and bring her down, or at least make her hold the ropes to stay upright and prevent any punches from raining down on her head.

Nikolette practically tumbled to the ground when Cassie did. Tangled up int he corner again, she panted for breath while Cassie recovered. "ya know." She said with a grin. "Yer real nice an all but I swear I don't even stay this attached to ma girlfriend. Ha! Hope she don't get jealous." She quipped. She didn't mind being a little friendly. Cassie was a nice girl and a hard fighter. The fact that she could joke meant she was having fun. She hoped that Cassie knew she was teasing though and regardless of it, she had to keep on with the match. But grappling in the corner was a pretty useless endeavor. The most either of them had to do once a hold was secured was grab the ropes and break the hold. "Well." She said. "We can either beat each other here in this corner till one of us drops." This was partly why she felt she was able to have an exchange with Cassie. "Which I don't mind cause I think I got the advantage. Or we can call a truce for a moment, untangle and get some room between us and have at it all proper like again. What'dya say? We back off and start from neutral or do I start polishin my gloves on yer head?"

Another growl. "You don't have any advantage anywhere. If we fight over here or over there, I'll still beat you." She said. She let go, though, got to her feet and pushed away from Nikolette and moved back to the middle of the ring. In the name of sportsmanship, she figured it was the nice thing to do.

She shook her head and pushed her hair back behind her ears. She kept her hair short so that it wouldn't bother her when she was training or fighting. Nikolette, though, had an enormous amount of hair, and while she wasn't about to start hair-pulling, it seemed like something that might work to her advantage. Maybe.

As Nikolette came back out to meet her, Cassie changed levels, dropping down as if to shoot in for a takedown but instead she came back up and torqued her hips around as she threw a right kick at Nikolette's midsection.

Nikolette raised her eyebrow at Cassie's sharp words. Was she wrong about Cassie? There was confident and then there was cocky and Nik thought that Cassie had just stepped into the realm of the latter. Nik was a little perturbed by this. Was Cassie not taking her seriously? despite the jokes, Nikolette had not underestimated Cassie at all. She pushed the thoughts way and stood up, resting in the corner for a few moments before putting her gloves up and starting towards the center of the ring.

When she saw Cassie go low, Nik immediately dropped back and crouched. But it was not far enough back to avoid the kick, which hit her in the chest and caused her to stumble back a bit.

There was the satisfying slap of her leather boot hitting home, and kept pressing forward as Nikolette dropped back. She wanted to win. More and more she was feeling the pressure to perform, and more and more the thought of losing felt like a fate worse than death. Maybe she was taking things too seriously, but it was hard to think that when not taking them seriously would result in her getting beaten to a pulp.

With the bit of confidence she'd gained in her hands in training, Cassie decided to keep throwing strikes instead of going straight for the ground. Maybe it was a bad idea, she should have been trying to put her opponent where she was weakest and where Cassie was strongest, but her opponent might not expect her to try to stand toe to toe with her. That was really only if she'd actually seen her match, though.

As Cassie came forward, she went low again, locking her eyes on Nikolette's knees and changing levels to fake another shot, and then came up with a right uppercut at Nikolette's chin followed immediately by a left hook. Punching like that wasn't illegal, right? It felt new, and weird, and a little exciting.

Nikolette stumbled back and brought a hand to her chest, her other fist out at her side. She kept her eyes focused on Cassie and she saw her staring at her knees. Nikolette narrowed her eyes. Cassie had been giving her the dupe the whole match it seemed. But she'd had pretty good luck on the ground all things considered so instead of reacting by pulling back again, she fully expected Cassie to tackle her. But Nik was ready. She pulled up her free hand to try and drive her elbow down hard on Cassie's head as she was being taken to the ground. At least, that's how she expected it to play out. But Cassie instead shot up. Nikolette would take the shot to the chin, but she had already committed to the elbow and now that Cassie was shooting upwards, if the elbow and head or face collided it would be with both in motion instead of just the Elbow as Nikolette had expected.

Before she can even throw her second punch, Cassie was staggered by Nik's elbow awkwardly colliding with the side of her forehead. "Ow!" She didn't like it, and she felt a little dumb for walking into it. At least it didn't land very cleanly, she really didn't want to start bleeding everywhere.

Being a little dizzy, and losing confidence on her feet, Cassie immediately looked to get Nikolette to the ground. She shook her head and jumped forward and turned over so that she was facing the mat, scissoring her legs around Nikolette's. As she hit the mat she turned over onto her back, and used her leverage to try to trip her opponent while grabbing for her ankle. She tucked the foot under her arm and used her upper body to twist it to the side.
