Goosebumps!

Like a lil kid finding his old stash of comics... I found my stash of Goosebump books from Elementary School ^ ^

I know very few us had to have actually read them when they came out... But ive been reliving my childhood lately and im wondering who actually Read Goosebumps as well >.>

These were the only books I was able to read... Everything else bored me....SUCK IT POTTER! GOOSEBUMPS 4 LYFE!

Aaahh... Goosebumps. Such a classic. Scary... for a kid. Why did you have to remind me! I was too afraid to sleep after watching "The night of the living dummy" *Shivers* Well, the books never made it in here, Argentina, but we had the TV show. Darn was the opening theme song creepy. Still I enjoyed it a lot. Was pretty good... again, when I was kid.

I read most of the Goosebumps and most of the Scary Stories books.

Scary Stories was good scary for the art and art alone >.> other than that, meh.

Goosebumps were ok. None of them were terribly scary though.

I never dug Goosebumps. Scary Stories ftw! I remember only a couple of the stories, I believe SS involved the one with the scarecrow... Harold, but you're right the art was waaay beyond the age group.

Nah, I did watch it from time to time, though I preferred Are You Afraid of the Dark? over it though (which aired pretty close to it time wise). Semi-related note, Ross Hull (one of dark's cast members) now does local weather where I live.

Oh my gaaaawd... Goosebumps! I was an addict over those in elementry and some of middle school! XD Those were a real riot back in the day. I'm still big on readin' and all, but I dropped those aaaages ago. Still, those were good times.

And I do remember when Nick aired Are You Afraid of the Dark! That show creeeeeped me out. I was so jumpy when I was a little sprout. ;XD But seriously, you jus' like, totally brought me back down memory lane with bringin' that up. Maybe I even still got those books somewhere...

i read Goosebumps like crazy. think i read em all, just before i got into the animorphs.

Scary Stories was something i didn't even touch. i saw it at the library and a fucking bloody skull smoking a pipe on the cover? no thanks.

i only remembered it about a year ago and heard some of the book on tape renditions on youtube. Tats is right. fucking terrifying art to this day, but the stories were pretty tame.
"A man is told by a gypsy that his old horse Jake will kill him. The man's spooked by it so sells the horse to get rid of it. The horse dies and the relieved man goes to pay his respects to its dried up body. A snake pops out of the skull and bites him dead."

more ironic than scary, except for those goddamn rotting corpses and twisted visions of hell on every other page. downright Lovecraftian, and i READ Lovecraft. as a guest lecturer at a con who spoke about Lovecraft said, "Every Lovecraft story goes like this: 'I found something wierd and then it made me insane!"

Warms my heart to know that many people Have Enjoyed Goosebumps as well. *sniff*
