Kei Maxwell vs Taylor Sparks (Friction Debut)

Kei growled when Taylor grabbed a hold of her hair and forced her back down. After laying there for about two seconds she gets back up, shakes her head violently and stares her down with the glare as if she was tell her 'I dare you to do that again motherfucker.'

While watching backstage, Sion has one of those "if she does ____ i'm changing my name/moving' looks.

Taylor takes a step back, annoyed that Kei is still upright and unscathed. The throws one hand up in the air and plants the other on her hip.

"Okay, what are we doing here? Are we going to have a conversation now? Are you coming onto me? Do I have gum in my hair? SNAP OUT OF IT!"

She does snap out of her glare but roars fiercely at her and throws a high punch in her direction.

Backstage Sion gave a small sigh in relief.

"Eep!"

Taylor's eyes go wide for a second. She was expecting an answer, like with words, and wasn't prepared for her opponent to suddenly be part bear. She slips the punch and backs up a couple quick steps to make Kei chase her.

"KEI! Calm yourself, getting angry can make a person irrational, and that leads to losses!" Annamaria called out from ringside, trying to make Kei calm. "Just focus!"

Kei stops and looks back at Anna with a grin "I'm ok babe, just my way of doing 'it' " which she was referring to the really bizarre way of hulking up without calling it that, which things kinda stopped the way they were "but noted, thanks." She tells her as she flings her hair back at bit then motions for Taylor to come get her.

Taylor sucks in a deep breath and winces as she plants her right foot on the mat. She pushes forward, holding her hands high out of habit to telegraph a collar and elbow. She takes one long step and jumps, not very high, kicking out with both boots at Kei's knees.

Kei recalls the first time Taylor went for something like that and jumped to the side to evade it. she would follow up by going to grab Taylor, helping her to her feet then giving her a strange bearhug, shaking her violently while sarcastically saying 'let's be friends."

Taylor hits the mat with a thud, and a momentary feeling of dread comes over her. She really didn't want to make herself vulnerable in front of Kei at this point in the match.

She winces some more as she stands up. Her legs will be needing a serious ice bath tonight. She feels Kei's arms wrap around her and she instinctively grabs at her wrists. "Okaaaay," she replies just before Kei squeezes. Her eyes fly open and her stomach muscles strain as the air is crushed out of her.

In between squeezings, she breathlessly wheezes "Ohmigod". Her legs flop back and forth as Kei shakes her, her eyes shut tight and her mouth gaping, struggling to get a breath in. She's not worried about the rest of the match anymore, she's just focused on surviving this hold.


[I always try to stay past tense, but I inevitably slip back into present tense. I can't help it, but it drives me crazy.]

Kei couldn't hold it for very long till the shaking was making her head spin slightly, that and Taylor's previous headshots were catching up kind of, and she did without warning let her go. She was able to keep her balance and went for Taylor's legs and attempted to lock her in ..........................you guessed it.
