Phoebe vs. Karina - Fall of the Beast

Victory Condition: The winner must accept the submission offered by the loser before either is let out of the cage.

For a few seconds, the lights in arena went black. Then, a flash. A deep blue glow bathed the ring as Phoebe Porter, clad in her black top and thigh-high boots, started her steady march down the ramp, her violet hair flowing behind her. She stopped before the ring, looking up and surveying the steel cage lowered around it. The ref girl unlocked and opened the door for her.

She brushed a strand of her hair back. It had been a while since she had taken to the ring. It felt right to be back… the drama of the last couple of months a distant memory. That cage… what a welcome back. It would be just her… and her foe. Just as it should be.

With a start, she stepped through the cage gate and climbed up into the ring. Stretching briefly, awaiting her opponent. Phoebe wondered who would be pit against her in a steel cage. She must either be a truly fearsome foe or a truly unfortunate victim.

Phoebe would be content either way.

It wasn't long before a familiar loud boom came from the entrance, within the glittering boom stood Karina, dresed to kill like always, a short black kimono with silver skulls on it, on sleeves under each arm, a black tight ribbon around her waist to keep her kimono tightly in place. Black Combat boots and black fingerless gloves with one of them holding her famous guitar.

Karina felt confident like always, after beating Eclipse with the help of two others, she was back on a winning streak again, stepping down the ramp and towards the ring, eyeing the cage quietly, numerous thoughts going in her head about how much fun she will have beating her opponent into pulp.

Soon she entered the ring the same way Phoebe did, holding the guitar to her side and immidiatly started to stalk around Phoebe, as if already playing the predator and prey part, she waited very impatiently for the match to start, the clutch on her guitar becoming greater with each minute wasted.

Phoebe carefully eyed Karina as she marched down the ramp, her brow furrowing an ever so slight amount. What a coincidence... Karina... her.

Phoebe did not know Karina personally. She knew the guitar-wielding warrior and her had a mutual acquaintance... But that was in the past. Right now, it was just the two of them. Nobody else.

Phoebe would remain still as Karina circled her, keeping an eye on her but not moving otherwise. A guitar... she had come prepared. Phoebe began to regret not sliding a knife into her boot before heading out here, but weapons do not win a fight. Of course... Karina obviously carried herself like a seasoned warrior. The cockiness did not obscure that.

This would be fun.

Finally turning to face Karina, and though there was still a decent distance between them, Phoebe would thrust out her hand quickly holding it out at waist height, offering Karina a handshake. "Phoebe Porter. Karina, right?" Her face was calm, her voice even, offering no trace of emotion. Beneath the surface, however, she could not wait to see what this woman was made of, even if it meant tearing her apart. ... Still, there were pleasantries to get out of the way.

Karina came to a halt when she noticed the hand coming close to her, turning and looking at it before back up at Phoebe. She figured this might just be a trap but it could also just be a friendly gesture, either way she wasn't going to mind, she was full of energy today, as if she was in top shape.

She took a few steps closer to Phoebe and extended her own hand to take ahold of Phoebe's and shake it lightly, surprised that the girl knew her name. " ..Correct. How did you know, Phoebe? " Immidiatly using her name, she wasn't the type to get all shy or use surnames to honor the girl, this was the ring after all, there was no such thing as formality once the match would start.

Phoebe shook Karina's hand firmly. She had no subterfuge in mind, yet. There are certain things that are just crass. Phoebe liked to think she was above that sort of thing now.

"I make it a point to learn the names of my opponents. The tale of the tape and all that." She released Karina's hand. "Nice guitar."

"Besides, we have a shared friend," Phoebe's eyes passed over Karina's form as she folded her arms, "You... are quite pretty." She paused briefly, allowing Karina to respond but paying whatever she said little mind. "I definitely can see what she sees in you." Her eyes met Karina's again. "You won't be so pretty when I am done with you." Her words were still steady, smooth, only belying the faintest hint of hostile intent. Letting that phrase hang in the air, she would quickly shift her weight and send a kick at Karina's side, hoping to move fast enough to not only strike with the element of surprise but decisively demonstrate her speed.

The ref might not approve but she was outside the cage.

Karina pulled her hand back to her side once Phoebe released it, nodding at her when she complimented her guitar and tried to figure out what kind of friend she was talking about, a smirk appearing on her lips. " I'm not that... " The when she heard about a certain someone seeing something in her, she knew what she was talking about, narrowing her eyes when that threat was followed after it, wanting to step back and get ready for the match but inside the sudden kick rammed her in the side, quickly stumbling to the other side while her free hand clutched her side, releasing a soft growl of annoyance.

Taing no real time to tend to the wound, she knew that Phoebe would no doubt follow up with something else and tried to jump in close and swing her guitar towards the girl's head, wanting to viciously stun her even though her strength wasn't really into it thanks to the blow to her side.

Phoebe knew she had to relieve Karina of that guitar quickly. So she quickly moved to follow up, but Karina was made of tough stuff. The kick seemed to barely phase her and she was already swinging that guitar. Damn.

Phoebe was not expecting a retaliation that fast, and the guitar collided with her head. Sending her reeling as she clutched her skull, stumbling back a step but catching herself. Blinking, she shook her head. Still had all her faculties, that was good at least. The sharp throbbing, that would subside... hopefully.

She damn well was not going to let this bitch win this fast. She decided to charge forward leaping in and trying to lock up with Karina. That guitar would be no good at point blank, and this was her best opportunity to close. She would struggle to get her legs around Karina's and trip her to the mat. The head blow slowed her down a bit, but Phoebe was no stranger to pain.

Karina stood back up straight and looked over at Phoebe, that hit seemed to be effective so why should she stop? She was about to run at her and swing again but the girl was fast, getting locked up with her and making Karina barely have any clutch on her guitar. She hated locks up or any time of holds because it always disallowed her to use her guitar at all.

Karina was forced onto her back thanks to Phoebes trip, which off course made er release her guitar upon impact, grunting out. " Grr.. Annoying litte.. "

Tossing Karina to the mat, Phoebe quickly dropped down with her, aiming to drive her elbow into Karina's gut with the fall. If that stunned Karina enough, Phoebe would try to grab Karina's arm, rise to a kneeling position, and twist it, aiming to lock her shoulder and try to do enough damage to ensure that guitar would not come swinging as fast next time.

Phoebe would briefly pause, however, when she rose, coping with the rush of quickly falling and rising on her banged up head. It would not be long, but if Karina were quick she could capitalize on it.

Karina's oxygen went to zero when the elbow to her gut came, forcing the girl to breathe loudly for a new amount, she yanked her arm back when it was caught but Phoebe had the better leverage, releasing a soft hiss when her arm was twisted so badly, it was enough to make Karina think twice about picking her guitar with an arm that was now in pain.

She did notice Phoebe pausing, immidiatly the power house became active, clenching her other fist and tried to send it with alot of power packed within it straight towards Phoebe's stomache.
