Soiuku, it really depends on the person. Some people just want to RP one for the looks and coolness.

I understand that, but still there are people who can and will spam their abilities.

Then they can always be disqualified.

Cheesy and/or overpowered rping will happen, human OR filthy subhuman beast.

I play Haruko as a normal human, no better, or faster than anyone else. In fact, she's become my jobber. She's suffered 9 losses and only 3 wins. The only thing different about her is that I have her hiss, perk her ears, twitch her tail, subtle things like that.

There is actually a rule suggesting only human characters are allowed in Friction and sex wars, although I've turned a blind eye to some here or there. The reason for the rule was partly to prevent characters coming in with extra abilities (as being discussed here already), but also because some people will be turned off by the idea of wrestling a girl covered in fur and I feared some people might base their decision to join AFW simply after seeing one or two furry bios in with the main action.

Personally, I like furry wrestling (you can see my Noodles character)... I think the ability issues will be there, but will mainly be with newbies... However I'm not particularly fond of the idea of trying to fit furry characters in with the current setting and storyline of Friction and Sex Wars... Also I'd hate the idea of 50% of the roster ending up being furry characters. But it sounds like quite a few people like the idea of having furries in with the main RPs,


I assume that people are not finding the alternative forum suitable for their needs because its just a jumble of matches..? If that is the case, what would people think about the idea of me creating an official 3rd AFW show? Members can choose to use their Friction/Sex Wars character there if they so wish, but also furries and some other alternative style characters will be allowed (and encouraged). There could be an array of official belts, it could have its own offcial storyline and even its own official evil Sellers sister GM. And to keep things as fair as possible there could be a device that deactivates non-human's abilities, which can be switched on and off at the beginning of a match, depending on what the players want...

If you don't like that idea though, I'll consider what to do about furries in Friction

I've kind of been using the alternative roster not like a series of rings, but more my character crossing paths with someone by chance encounters. No fancy entrances down a ramp into a wood ring or anything like that.

liking the idea, though the Alt board does serve a nice place for people to just mess around without worrying about their character dying or why they're suddenly in the woods fighting a horrific man-bear

Well I could keep the alt board for things like death matches and testing characters out, while making this 3rd show completely seperate of the alternate arena..
