Round 1: Tammy Naga vs Kiku Shiori

The crowd awaited the start of the match with high expectations. It was the first round of the first ever "Princess of the Ring" Tournament, and it would also be the first appearance of the newcomer, Kiku Shiori. The lights focused on the top the ramp, and Kiku appeared. She had a very enthusiastic look, waving energetically to the crowd. As she walked down the ramp, the crowd noticed with a mix of curiosity and delight that her bottoms were covered by nothing more than a sumo-style fundoshi. She also wore a sleeveless vest, leaving her healthy arms and legs exposed.

The short girl in pigtails reached the ring and climbed onto it, doing some warm-up exercises as she awaited her opponent. Kiku was eager to have her first match, and it looked like this would be an interesting one indeed.

The lyrics pulsed through her headphones with its vicious lyrics, the world around becoming completely forgotten now by the teen who wore them. The song had speed and brutality to it, but the girl who was soaking up the song like a drug didnâ€t seem to budge. No thrashing, dance, or headbanging like some would have. Instead, there was just a raven haired, short statured girl sitting on the bench, hands folded on her lap as her half open, dull golden eyes started down at the floor in front of her.

I can't escape,
I'm crawling inside!
You can't erase,
This night that you died!

Her name was Tammy Naga, a young Kawaii who still had to really make a name for herself in the AFW, but had proven despite her record that she was a strong will fighter who always gave the fans a good fight. She may not have always won, but she made sure never to just give up. And today, it was the ‘Princess of the Ring tournament, just now coming underway. To her, she was going to turn this into the Punk of the Ring, planning to go in with a bang.

Her music playing, the song Too Weird, Too Normal played with itâ€s rather ska like feel and lyrics, and soon, she made her way down to the entrance ramp. Speakers blaring her song, Tammy approached the ring with a stern, focused look in her eyes. She didnâ€t pose for the crowd, walking down with a sense of confidence in her as she walked, and with every set of speakers she passed, they exploded in a flare of silver sparks and confetti, covering the ramp in a metallic shine, before she grabbed the ropes, and pulled herself in.

The girl was hardly more than a few inches taller than Kiku, but certainly came along with a different look to her. She threw off a white zippered jacket, showing a simple, form fitting cyan blue t-shirt, sporting the number 8 in a billiard style in the front as it showed her impressive, C-cup breasts perfectly for a girl her size. Around was a loose, slightly brighter blue tie, the knot hanging lazily far from her shoulders. Around her hips, she had a short, matching blue skirt with a small white stripe along the edge, and nearly meeting the bottom were her long, black stockings with black sneakers. Oddly enough though, as casual and almost punk like as Tammy had looked, her long black hair that reached about her waist had been sporting a pair of neko ears. Though fake, they matched her hair well enough that some could swear they looked real. And of course, she still had her headphones, listening to the end of her song just as she entered, before casually laying them just outside the ring on a turnbuckle, out of site, out of mind.

For a moment, she gazed at the crowd, her dull yellow eyes scanning over them, before she turned to look at Kiku, simply raising her eyebrow at the rather odd attire she was in. Tammy may have been more casual looking, but her cat ears did add itâ€s own odd twist as well. So, she wasnâ€t going to complain, the girl was normally a quiet one anyway. Though she didnâ€t show it, Tammyâ€s spirits were higher than normal, but she still couldnâ€t help but look at Kiku in question, knowing they had a small timeframe before the bell rang, before simply asking in a rather unimpressed tone; "…Youâ€re my opponent?"

As the blazing music and pyrotechnics took over the arena, Kiku couldn't help but get sucked into Tammy's flashy entrance. This was so different from what she was used to! She had watched some wrestling matches on television, sure, but seeing it happen right before her own eyes was another thing. She watched it all with excitement, as if she was part of the audience as well.

She then noticed her opponent getting into the ring. After such an entrance, Kiku was curious about which kind of fighter she would be facing, and the girl now in front of her was certainly unique. The strangest part of her were not the cat ears - which were kinda odd - but her attitude. The hard lyrics of her entrance song would have suggested her being a hyperactive and passionate person; instead, her eyes seemed tranquil and detached.

Kiku heard her opponent's question and was snapped out of her reflections. "Yes! My name is Kiku Shiori! I wish we can have a good match!" As she said that, the sumo girl bowed her head quickly. She then lifted her head with a smile, eager to start. "What's your name?"

As Tammy observed her opponent, she had a strange feeling about the girl. Like her appearance was something not to be taken lightly, or that there was more to her than she appeared. The fundoshi she had that was arranged in a sort of sumo style was what made Tammy think that, knowing most wrestlers were a martials arts uniform or accessory for a good reason. But, as much as that was normally the case, how could any form of Sumo be proper for this girl? Tammy wasn't sure what to expect, however, as the girl gave her kindhearted introduction, Tammy did let out a slow, calm breath, and nodded towards the girl lightly.

"My name's Tammy Naga." She said simply at first, deciding to give the girl her full name, assuming that the girl was too innocent to make a crack about her last name. Tammy's own tone was still a little bland, but she didn't seem to be looking down at the girl. Sure, she was a little unsure what potential she had, but she was glad to see the girl was in high spirits, and looked like a clean, respectful fighter. That was what really mattered to Tammy, she enjoyed wrestling for what it was, and not as some senseless beating or humiliating someone in the ring. Aside from her music, wrestling was one of the only other things she had grown to like, but she only prefered it as a real match, one where two fighters truly tested themselves against one another. And so, very faintly in the corner of her lips, there was the crack of a smile, before she started to assume her own stance. "Should be a good one, don't worry, I don't fight dirty." Though she should have said the word 'usually' at the end of that, Tammy had every intention to keep her word on that, knowing it had been awhile since she fought a good match like this, and really looking foward to it.

So, she assumed her stance, bending her knees a little as she bent her back foward a little, two of her hands stretched out in front of her with open palms and fingers slightly curled. It was a fierce looking grappler stance, one that looked like she was ready to leap and pounce on all fours at any moment. Tammy would wait for Kiku to get herself ready, and when she did, the bell would ring!

Kiku heard her opponentâ€s name; she said nothing of it, as commenting on others peopleâ€s names was bad manners. “Nor do I!” Kiku retorted. She was proud of having never resorted to illegal moves – which was, in her case, an impressive achievement, because due to her size and her martial art of choice she had always been at a disadvantage. During her training, as she wasnâ€t able to get bigger, she had opted to adapt the Sumo maneuvers to her diminute size instead of cheating; the result was that Kiku had practically created a sub-style of Sumo that emphasized her own strong points. Soon Tammy and the crowd would be able to see it in action.

Preparing for the match to start, Kiku assumed her own stance as well. She crouched and bent forward, flexing her legs and hovering her fists just right above the mat; she looked at Tammy all the time. If the fundoshi hadnâ€t conviced someone from the crowd yet, now it became obvious that her style was Sumo indeed, for that stance was undoubtedly one of a Sumo wrestler. Shortly after her stance was complete, the bell rang. The match had started! Kiku made the first move, charging in towards Tammy. She only lifted her body a little when running, and moved with great speed and agility. She aimed a direct tackle at Tammy; a wrestler of greater stature and weight would have been able to make the move more damaging, but Kikuâ€s speed would require a much quicker reaction to be avoided.

She wouldnâ€t lie; the girl had a good feeling about this. Tammy may have been a pessimist, but her match with Sindel awhile back made Tammy realize that there was some things to be hopeful for. And the match right now, the emotionally blunt brick wall that was Tammy actually found herself looking forward to it, the faint curve in the corner of her lips resembling a smile. Hoping for a good, challenging but fair fight, Tammy remained in her stance, relaxed by eager, choosing to wait for a moment, as she chose to remain defensive.

Sure enough, observing Kiku did show that the girl preferred Sumo, and Tammy couldnâ€t help but wonder how she would achieve it. Tammy herself actually fought someone like it, choosing to fight with grapples, as she possessed a strength far beyond what one would expect of her. But she couldnâ€t help but wonder if this kawaii had that same, gifted strength as Tammy. Either way, she waited, and finally, as the bell rang, Kiku charged in, and the match would begin.

‘Sheâ€s pretty quick!†The second Kiku started to move in, Tammy knew she needed to be quick, her once relaxed and calm look in her eye sharpening a little as she braced the heels of her shoes into the mat, ready to take the impact. The girl was light, but as she collided into Tammy, her speed made up for it, proving to go more by force than sheer power. The black haired kawaii grunted a little from the impact, one eye cringing slightly as she held her ground, feeling Kikuâ€s shoulders and arms pressing to try and take Tammy down. But she stood her ground, and as she found her target since Kiku was bent so low, Tammy reached over the girlâ€s back, and around her waist. Suddenly, Kiki would feel herself being picked up, Tammyâ€s hands locking around her fundoshi and pulling, as would try to pick her up while she was bent low, causing her to be lifted upside down. As a girl who had proven to be able to lift weight twice her own size, she had almost no strain in lifting Kiku, holding her upside down as she gripped her around the hips. And then, falling to her knees, Tammy would initiate her counter into a sloppy, but effective piledriver, slamming the top Kikuâ€s head into the mat and releasing her.

Kiku rammed her front and shoulders into Tammyâ€s midsection at full speed. The crowd cheered the initial move, as it was highly offensive and looked risky; however, Kiku was used to the maneuver and knew how to apply it well. What to others looked like a reckless charge was actually a common starting technique for her. She grunted on first contact as well, throwing her built-up momentum on Tammy. However, she was unable to take Tammy off her feet with the impact, and after she realized so her movements shifted. In a situation like this, it was a matter of who would lift who first. Kikuâ€s arms moved behind Tammyâ€s back and started searching for a decent gripping spot.

After some split seconds, Kikuâ€s hands found the top of Tammyâ€s skirt. She was just about to grab it using her thumbs, when she felt herself being picked up by the waist, and Tammy turned the tables on her. In fact, not only the tables: everything was quickly turned upside-down. “Eh?” Kiku had an ominous feeling of what would follow, and she had only a moment to react. She could not escape harmlessly from that position, as thrashing or kicking Tammy could be even more dangerous for her. So, she moved her hands away from Tammyâ€s body and placed her arms under her vulnerable head, giving it at least a bit of protection.

Then, both wrestlers fell down. Kikuâ€s outstretched arms absorbed a small part of the shock, but they were of minimal help. A piledriver is always a piledriver. There was a shot of pain through Kikuâ€s head, and when Tammy released her waist she rolled to her back clutching the top of her head. “Ow-ow-ow….”

Immediately after slamming the top of her head into the mat, Tammy got up from her knees, subconsciously rubbing her abdomen a little, feeling a small twinge of pain there from the rush Kiku gave. Tammy knew if she tried that again, she would have to be careful and quick. That time, with skill and a bit of luck, Tammy had countered, but she knew if she made a mistake or was blind sided by that rush and didnâ€t brace herself in time, then she would have been taken down hard to the mat.

Kiku wasnâ€t bad, but Tammy was determined. She wanted to really gain respect in this ring now. She had been a fan of wrestling for some time now, and was tired of always seeing it on the sides. Even if she was young, and she still had a long way to go, this was the best way for her to make a name for herself. And of course, Kanai Kanamori was in this tournament, and Tammy had every intention of confronting her and breaking her apart after what happened between the two. But for now, it was this match, and she planned to give it her best.

Showing good sportsmanship for the rather adorable kawaii, Tammy actually stepped back, giving her the time she needed to get up, a focused gaze in her golden eyes as she waited. Maybe later, she would attempt a submission or something. But right now, she wanted to see what her opponent had in store, actually wanting to trade a few blows with her at first before she started to really take her down. So, bending her knees and extending her arms again, Tammy waited near the far end of the ropes. However, the second Kiku started to get to her feet, Tammy would move in, charging for an attack that was similar to Kikuâ€s a moment ago, going for a spearing tackle, but using her head too so she could drive it into the girlâ€s gut, before wrapping her arms and taking her down. Tammy had to lower her head for this, making her just barely see her opponent, probably the one weakness to her attack if Kiku was quick enough. But Tammy made sure to charge as she was rising, hoping to give her virtually no time to react.

Kiku shaked her head, a bit dizzy after the piledriver. As Tammy didnâ€t attack her right away, Kiku took a short moment to recover her wits. The match hadnâ€t gone on for more than half a minute, and she was already on her back! Her opponent was clearly no rookie either. Kikuâ€s fighting spirit wasnâ€t deterred by that; this was the kind of opponent that she enjoyed fighting. There was no thrill in facing against an untalented jobber. But the fact that Tammy was strong meant that Kiku could not pull any punches either.

After the brief recovery, Kiku started getting up. Most her dizziness had gone away, as it was only the start of the match; plus, she didnâ€t want to keep Tammy waiting, as staying down for too long could be interpreted as a sign of weakness. She didnâ€t want to disappoint Tammy nor the crowd. However, when she got to one knee, Kiku turned her head and was surprised to see Tammy rushing towards her. Her eyes widened as the raven-haired head approached her at a dangerous speed. Tammy had timed this move well: being in only one knee, Kiku wouldnâ€t be able to dodge the charge, wasnâ€t in a position to halt it, and on top of that she didnâ€t have good footing to stop Tammy like she had been stopped some moments ago.

But Kikuâ€s mind came up with a counter in the nick of time. The sumo clenched her teeth and tensed her muscles as Tammy rammed her head into her midsection. “Ngh!” Trying to ignore the pain that came with it, Kiku reacted quickly, trying to hug Tammyâ€s torso with both arms. If Kiku couldnâ€t stop her, then she would make the move work against her! Instead of trying to keep her shoddy stance, Kiku fell back while trying to lift Tammy with her. If that worked, Tammy would be flipped and have her back slammed against the mat, in a sort of mini-snap suplex. Because Tammy was not much bigger than Kiku, the sumo should have little trouble in lifting her; even then, Tammyâ€s own momentum would deal the bulk of the damage.

As Tammy slammed into the girl, she could already feel that victory was going to be assured. She hoped for more, but it she could take her down quickly, so be it, that meant more points for her to have over the rest. Tammy was not surprised by how lilith this girl seemed, feeling like she could just mow her down with enough of an impact, but soon, Tammy would be quite surprised by what came next. Her eyes widened when she felt the Kikuâ€s armâ€s wrap around her slender waist, and Tammyâ€s head snapped up to look at her, pulling away from her gut that she rammed a moment ago. She had expected to take her down again, but instead, even after hearing that rather cute little cry of pain, the girl was still standing, and even worse, Tammy started to feel her legs leave the mat. Though they were both light, Tammy knew how to really keep her weight down on the mat, but before she could try to grab a hold or stop her, Kiku had effectively lifted Tammy off the ground. “Wh-What the-!?” She flailed her arms and legs, able to get only one small jab of her elbow against the side of Kiku, before her world went upside down, spinning in a front flip motion, as she yelped and threw her arms and legs around into a fit, trying to stop herself like she knew how to fly all of the sudden. Then a second later, the whole mat rattled as the back of Tammyâ€s head and boy hit the mat with a thunderous roar.

The crowd was enjoying the site so far, both kawaiiâ€s showing skill and knowing what they were doing, while fighting with all they had. But there was still a whole match to be had, still, and Tammy wasnâ€t going to be taken down easy. “Nngh… damnit, nice throw..” Tammy said with a small groan, lying on the mat for a second with her arms and legs spread out. She would tilt her head up a little to look upwards at Kiku though, one hand subconsciously rubbing the back of her head as she complimented the girl. Her vision faintly blurred for a moment, Tammy shook her head a few times, trying to remove the daze, before she rolled over onto her stomach, pushing herself up, but also keeping her head turned backwards, just to make sure of Kiku tried anything or not.
