Double Booking

Today was going to be a glorious day as the new Gold Standard of AFW, no, of all womens wrestling worldwide was going to do a photo shoot to demonstrate a nice visual of what the perfect wrestling figure looked like. Clad in her metallic gold wrestling attire Alaina Sanders was strutting through the hallway of the arena eagerly looking for the location of her photo shoot. She appeared to be all smiles but this was more of a self assured smirk than any genuine grin.

"I can't wait to get this done and then get to work on my revenge tour. So many women will be at my feet where they belong." Alaina said to herself as she rounded a corner seeing cameras, props and other things all set up. She was happy to step in and have her close up when she noticed something. Or more accurately someone. Angel was already there, and that was quite a blast from the past. The woman who Taylor Parker beat for the Friction Championship a title Alaina herself more recently held. At first she was upset but she hid it. No, this was a golden opportunity.

She smiled and strut up her chest puffed out as her hips swayed while she walked. "Well well... not just one but two former champions in one place eh? This is quite the surprise!" Alaina said aloud as she approached.

*...sigh...The more things change...* Angel's internal monologue remained thusly as she dutifully acquiesced to whatever directions were issued to her by the photographer behind the shuttering camera lens. The silver-haired latina still acclimating herself to an AFW she scarcely recognizes anymore since the last time she donned her wrestling cowgirl boots. An overhauled roster with bright and talented up-and-comers all underneath new management will do that, she figures. A small part of her honestly feels somewhat out of place in this current AFW, however in spite of the stark differences, she's actually finding some comfort in knowing certain aspects of the business remained the same as ever. Such as the prerequisite photoshoots that were practically ingrained into her new contract.

Not that Angel minded showcasing her bangin' and sultry figure, of course. Adorned in a silver bikini matching her hair color and leaving little to the imagination in what was meant to be a collaborative photo-shoot between generational wrestlers, one of whom making her appearance with a confident strut to her step. Angel turning to greet the Amazon as the photographer signaled for a quick intermission before they continue. "Ah, Hola, como estas?~...I'm Angel, a pleasure to meet you. Two former champs in one shoot? We should get paid double for this, chica." The angelic latina offering Alaina a jovial smile and cordial handshake as Allie approached the set. "I've heard so much about you since I came back. Guess you've been holdin' down the fort around here with all those championship reigns of your, huh?"

Alaina smiled back and nodded, initially not looking upset. Inside this was quite a different story though. Why should she share the spotlight with a champion who left so long ago? Regardless Alaina kept up the happy facade, at least a little bit. "Someone has to don't they? You had quite the battles in the ring with... Taylor... and her doting mother in law who sure liked to hover about huh?" Alaina said as the mention of her dojo days brought up memories some of which were far from pleasant.

"So Angel, what have you been up to? Still staying small and light on your feet I see." Alaina said as she tensed up her body and highlighted her own features even more in the lighting. "Why come back to AFW did you miss being thrown around the ring?"

Vague nostalgic recollections made Angel wonder if she had met Alaina once before, perhaps in passing. Odds were certainly likely considering she'd associated with a few rookies back in the day who rose to prominence in her absence, and it was unlikely she could forget a wrestler with as striking a physique as the Amazon here. "Ugh...Que dolor de cabeza, don't remind me. Whatever that mental case is doing right now, I'm sure it's with parental supervision like always. Whatever, she's someone else's problem now~..."

Angel parted her silver hair out of her vision with the surrounding lighting crew taking a small powder as the photographer made some adjustments to his camera. "Ah, well you know. Once this business gets in your blood, you're always looking for a reason to stay in the game for as long as you can. Besides, someone's gotta keep today's roster honest and remind the wrestling fan's what a real wrestlin' icon looks like~..." Angel pantomined some gestured punches at Alaina's abdomen without making contact, smirking mischievously all throughout.

Alaina stood with her hands on her hips, tipping her head back with a laugh. "Oh Angel why would they need that? I mean they could be reminded of what you look like sure... but why be reminded of the past when a woman who defended her title more than twice stands here to redefine what a champion looks like? Upgrades are preferable no?" Alaina said tensing up and flexing while smiling at Angel. "There is a reason I am the gold standard now you know and I will put my record up against anyone, anytime chica."

Angel exhaled through her nostrils and blatantly mock smile, a veteran of her storied caliber knowing full well where this was going in spite of her attempts to be the cordial professional for once. "...*sigh*...Well chica, you know what they say about quality over quantity. S'why my title reigns are still being discussed today, where as yours...well, ya know." Angel smirked in the face of the flexing Amazon, stepping up to Allie with her arms folded beneath her bikinied bosom. "Ya know, I think I actually remember you being a member of that Higurashi dojo back in the day. And I hoped you'd learn more from yer time there other than how to be an obnoxious brat, but I guess that was too much to ask for. So why not just name a time and place already, and I'll show ya whose still the gold standard 'round here."

Alaina's eyes narrowed as Angel mentioned her title reign compared to that of Alaina. "Hmph. Well if you really want to throw down and humiliate yourself that is perfectly fine with me and don't ever mention the dojo again." Alaina hissed. "They relegated me to the background while I ended up surpassing all of them despite never being the favorite child and look at me now compared to them." Alaina hissed.

After a moment she smiled cooly at Angel. "All right chica why not see if we can't have a match at the next available show? I am sure the fans are eager to see gold shine and triumph over what is bronze at best. See you later." Alaina said glaring at Angel before turning away to leave only to spin around and extend her elbow looking to land a cheap shot elbow attack right to the jaw!
