Scalliwag Meets Rabbit Lord: Edward Sealgair vs Shimmerlace Snuggleblossom

Well that left things right and banjanxed. Shimmerlace did a double-take from Ed, to the audience, then back to Ed. Well it’s not like her raft of hints were particularly stealthy or nothing. Wasn’t she expecting, even hoping for someone to put the tail on the proverbial donkey? “I...I suppose that is what some might believe about me!” Shimmer had hoped the words would hang on the air like a mysterious mist, but your girl found insufficient magic in her voice.

You’re a fairy. Not Ooooh, your gimmick is a fairy or So that’s your angle then? Not even Ah, a fairy is it? Sure then, fey creature it is, wink! No, the way Ed said fairy was more akin to how a young boy might sound if one day he found Tinkerbell pouting around inside a jar.

“The following contest is scheduled as a standard match...”

Leaning back into her corner, reappraising her rival, the Seelie Scion stuck her pipe in her mouth and took a long, heavy drag of the pink smog. You can bet your girl had a list of questions for him: What else did he know of the fey courts? What specific clues had led him in uncovering her identity—was it just the cold iron, or had other bits of gristle and flotsam turned his mind? What were his favorite books, and would he consider swapping some of them in exchange for highlights from her collection?

Shimmerlace gave Thistledown a kiss before she lowered him to his caretaker, and as she did, she felt she could stand a bit taller. Thistledown would, in a comfy cage set up among the audience members’ seats, be watching the proceedings ringside. So her feathers got ruffled—did Thistledown care? Of course the rabbit didn’t care.

“The bun-bun is indeed cute, though he has conceded to me, he's not half as cute as you are.” Shimmerlace had to pause as the bell rang out in its nervy-jangling way. DING DING DING! As she pushed off the ring post and started to circle in on Ed, she continued with her cheerful tone: “It’s gonna be so sad for him, poor, peaceful wee beastie what he is, when I snap you open like a clam and get my fangs into your soft and tender insides.”

Huh...so it was official...this girl was crazy.

That pretty much summed it up. He met a crazy girl who watched porn of him and thought she was a fairy...and now wanted to beat him up in front of her rabbit.

...Why was his life so much more complicated than everyone elses?

Once the bell rang, Edward only had a minute to offer a salute to the adorable Thisledown before Shimmer was bounding around it, making not-so-vague threats about what she planned on doing to him. Taking off his vest, Ed blushed as the reveal of his bare young chest brought whistles and catcalls from the audience.

He got his arms up, watching Shimmer carefully as she started to circle in on him with her moving and skipping, thinking to himself on how best to handle this situation. "Alright, think Edward. She's taller than you...got a longer reach...and she thinks she's a fairy...Maybe its a gimmick to get in your head, maybe she's just crazy. Either way, don't let it psyche you out. Let's give her some rope, see if she hangs herself with it." he thought, keeping an eye on the woman, but not making any action yet, wanting to see how she would start things off.

"Sooo...I've crossed paths with one of the fair folk." he said cheerfully, the lads scottish accent at full peak. "If I may ask, what brings one of the fae this far east to the lands of Japan? Your kind is rather...rare, here." He said curiously. Be it delusion or gimmick, Edward decided it this opponent was intriguing enough that it was worth playing along...for now at least.

“Well now, I should think that would be obvious, Ed boy. I come pursuing a long, a deep, a meaty porpoise...”

Shimmerlace adjusted her spidersilk chestpiece and tucked the bangs of her cherryblossom hair behind an ear. With the bell, the audience lapsed into tense quiet. Up to this moment, Shimmerlace had lived in another space, a Pink in-between tucked between the mortal plane and the wilds of the ether. Never had she truly stepped into the air or felt harsh stagelights warm her skin. Now the fairy could feel her stockings clinging, warm and silky, to her knees, could taste the air shared by hundreds—all of whose eyes, she imagined, rested on this new fairy, all of whom would remember and judge the warble of her birthsong.

“...An’ it lives in your knickers!”

Shimmerlace launched herself across the ring at her opponent.

Edward...wasn't entirely sure what Shimmer was talking about, what with her talk of porpoises and how meaty they...Oh....ohhhhhhh...

Well...that explains why she was looking at porn of him backstage at least. Man...Edward's life was a weird one to be sure.

Edwards thoughts were distracted, however, as the beautiful, strange, woman then launched herself at him in an attempt to take him down. But for all Edward's other quirks that she had no doubt noticed so far, his shyness and willingness to play along with her fantasy...she didn't know he was also rather good at this whole wrestling thing.

As a result, when she made her leap at him, he simply side-stepped her charge, hooking his arm under hers and trying to flip her down to the mat with an arm drag!
