Diamond in the Rough (Maelle and Harmony)

Training at home was fine and serviceable, but exploring new places and getting new experiences was the duty of any martial artist and wrestler worth their salt, especially if they had the ability to do so like Maelle. So for today she had settled on seeing just what kind of training facilities AFW actually possessed, especially for someone within the Kawaii League. She had heard horror stories about how many girls in the League were bullied, abused, and neglected by both Friction wrestlers and staff alike. To the point that Maelle had heard they were even decommissioning the Kawaii Belt entirely. These were truly some dark times for the League, but it was in those darker moments when light shined the brights.

And to that end, here Maelle was, doing a few spars with her fellow Kawaii after her warm-ups.

The gym was a far cry from the personal dojo Maelle was used to, lacking the tools that were personally tailored to the noble's body and training regiment, but for a general gym it was fine. Plenty of machines to exercise with. Plenty of mats to spar and work on techniques. Even a few trainers for coaching and working on specific aspects of the ring. And for Maelle's part...

"Alright ladies, very nice work." Maelle clapped her hands, signalling the break. "Take a rest now if you wish. We'll pick things up in five minutes." Almost immediately after finishing her warm-ups Maelle had gathered a few of her fellow Kawaii and settled into the role of leader and organizer for an impromptu Kawaii training session. She forced about five girls her age through quick drills, basic workouts, stretches, and finally light sparring. Apparently it was a more strenuous training session than what the girls were used to. A disappointing showing, but it only meant they could only go up from here!

And Maelle honestly looked the part of a trainer. Donning a sports bra trademarked with the Mondue family crest, wearing her custom judo gi pants with her black belt tied around her waist. And unlike in the ring, her twintails were styled in the proper buns, much less likely to get in the way during the training session. It was clear from both her build and her confidence she was an experienced fighter, and many of the girls didn't question her aside from some groaning about the drills, groaning Maelle quickly had silenced with a throw or two before the rest fell into line. "Okay, if anyone wishes for a free sparring session then feel free to ask. I'll be taking a moment to catch my breath." She moved over to the bench, a servant quickly bringing her a water bottle and her fan. "Merci," She nodded, taking the bottle and fan, cooling the sweat from her face as she drank. Her eyes scanned the mats, checking up on each girl, looking for other Kawaii to potential join the group session.

Harmony Harper's first match had gone terribly. She'd been targeted by a bigger girl who'd meant to make an example of the Kawaii division. Stretched. Battered. Exposed. She had been dismantled in all ways possible. But... She had also won. She'd managed to endure the hardship that Aphrodite put her through. And with that, she had earned her place in AFW. And more importantly, an income that would cover her schooling and housing!

Now all she had to do was keep it.

A chance meeting with Kawaii legend Claire St. Claire had been exactly what she'd needed to convince her that not only did she belong in AFW... But that she might one day truly make something of herself. All she needed was to look the part and work hard!

And this was exactly what had brought Harmony to the gym this day!

The demure megane-girl was eager to use the facilities that AFW had made available to her. Especially because she couldn't afford a membership at a private gym.

She emerged from the locker room just as Maelle called for a break. She was wearing her best estimation of what her wrestling attire might be. It was clear to her that one thing was especially important for a Kawaii wrestler... And that was being cute!

She answered that call to action in a pink get-up. A skirt that flared past her thighs while still showing off her lithe, athletic legs. A crop top that exposed her firm, flat midriff. And a cute hairband to top it off! It was the perfect outfit to show off her dainty dancers body! Even if stepping out onto the mats caused her face to heat up with embarrassment.... This was training too, she told herself!

Maelle finished her water in little time, the container already half empty since after her initial workout. Truly it had been an active start of the day between her personal exercises and working with this impromptu group. So much work, so little time... Handing the bottle to her servant, she brought her hands together and clapped twice. "Alright ladies, break's over!" She summoned her group, and the ladies reconvened. There were noticeably fewer than before. Some people had left it seemed. "Hm..." Not a surprise really. Maelle knew she more so dragged people into this sudden session than properly asked. It was only natural people left, either to do their own personal training or to get away from the intimidating judo girl that strong-armed them into rather intense conditioning. Still, it was still a bit disappointing to see the number shrink. There were two left, and that was too few a group to really do anything fancy. What to do... She glanced around the room again, and out of the corner of her eye she spotted someone. "Ah-" She recognized that person.

It was that girl that got into the Kawaii League via Contract Match. Surviving a rather ruthless match against a larger and crueler opponent and not surrender to the harsh and intense holds and stretches she was put through. A cute foreigner girl dressed in a cute matter, but a seasoned fighter like Maelle could see the tones and muscles around her body. Strong legs from either a dancing or running background. An overall thin figure that didn't lack too much in muscle to show someone that had done some form of physical activity at a frequent level. Yes, this would do nicely. The girl's name immediately sprang to Maelle's mind.

"You, Harmony Harper." Maelle called out, quickly beckoning the girl to come toward her. "Come, you shall be a great wonderful example for what I have in mind."
