Halloween Costume Title Match! "Amazon" Alaina Sanders (C) vs Panther Risako

Alaina was in a haze sitting on the top turnbuckle as Risako climbed up. Alaina knew this was bad and she had a tiny window to act and turn it in to a situation in her favor instead of her demise. The champion tensed up a bit as Risako's legs clasped around her head. Alaina brought her arms up to hold Risako and stood up on the second rope and surged forward before Risako could lean back. A screaming amazon countered and turned this into an amabomb from the turnbuckle down onto the canvas with a thunderous impact!

Alaina would fall with Risako almost landing atop the challenger, adjusting and laying across Risako's chest while hooking a leg to go for a pin! The stunned official slid in to place and moved in position to count the pin.

"ONE!"

"TWO!"

Risako's heart was pounding as she leapt off the corner post, her legs latching around Alaina's head as she dropped backwards. She felt a moment's exhilatation as she leaned back...and the paused as Alaina, abruptly, brought her arms up around her back, arresting her fall and locking her in place.

Oh. Oh no...

Panic gripped Risako at that moment, and she tried to drive another elbow down into Alaina's skull to stun her. She was a fraction of a second too late, however: Alaina suddenly surged off of the top rope and came falling down, bringing Risako down in her signature amabomb!

There was a tremendous crash as Risako's body jolted off the mat, and then everything went black. The fans went wild with disbelief as Risako was left lying down, spreadeagled, seemingly knocked out by that devastating blow. The crowd watched with tense anticipation as the refree began the countdown.

"THREE!"

And with that, the bell rang. The crowd erupted into applause as, after a hard-fought match, Alaina Sanders was declared the winner! Lying under the Amazon, Risako didn't seem to notice, seemingly having been knocked out by Alaina's devastating finisher...

Alaina heard the bell ring and got off Risako, stumbling up to her feet and swaying as she held a fist up. Alaina hobbled to the rope, leaning on it as she looked out to the crowd and soaked up the cheers as the official brought her title over to her. The amazon was swaying as she stood, holding the Friction Championship high into the air and stumbling about the ring as she held it up on a ll four turnbuckles facing the fans.

Alaina stood by for a moment, hoping to see Risako wake up, if she did wake up with Alaina still there she would offer to help the challenger up to her feet.

Risako's eyes fluttered ever so slightly as she lay on her back, a slight groan escaping her lips. Her entire body felt like it was made of lead, like it had literally been crushed and stuck fast to the mat. Everything was throbbing with a dull pain, and Risako was content to just lie there for a while.

She didn't get to do that, though, as she felt her hand being pulled on. The next thing she knew, she was being pulled up unsteadily to her feet, forcing her eyes to open fully. She barely managed to steady herself, swaying a little as she struggled to maintain her balance. Alaina was opposite her, holding her up by her hand.

"T-thanks," she managed to say weakly. At this point it suddenly dawned on her that she had just lost her championship bid. She felt a wave of disappointment wash over her, but she tried to keep it from showing: the last thing she wanted was to spoil the moment with bad sportswomanship.

As Alaina helped Risako up she held her hand high and clapped for her for a moment, but she knew herself how awful it felt to lose a match like this. Adrian cheated Alaina out of the Friction Championship a year before she finally won it. Very early in her career Gwendolyn had a ref count slow for a pin then fast as Alaina was pinned as she lost her first Entropy Championship match. Imperial Order used a mist to cost Sonic Boom their only Tag Team Championship match. It stung even thinking of it now.

Alaina backed away and gave Risako a final nod before making her way towards the back, having defended her championship in a tough, hard fought battle that had left the crowd on its feet.
