Strategy: Tamara is a lethal mix of flips, kicks, and tricks in the ring. Her acrobatic skills are a sight to behold on their own, but when combined with her free-flowing capoeira skills, she becomes a flurry of nonstop action and beauty. She avoids the grasp of her opponents at all costs, instead using her impressive speed and athleticism to maneuver around them and deliver strike after strike, her attacks seeming to come from everywhere at once.

She has a masterful ability to dodge attacks, oftentimes doing so with fancy backflips, rolls or feints that leave her opponents hitting nothing by air. She likes to play the long game, slipping, gliding and dodging past opponents while gradually wearing them down with soaring kicks. She fights with a rhythmic grace; weaving, bobbing and flowing around the ring while making sure to hit when and where it counts. She feels most at home in the air, soaring high above her opponents and raining down pain in the form of flying kicks and strikes.

What she lacks in raw power she makes up for in pure endurance. She can seemingly last forever, refusing to yield until her opponent is completely exhausted. There is not a single moment where she stands idle in the ring; she is constantly moving, bobbing with the beat of her own tempo and making sure all of her moves flow in tandem with it. This is when the Dancing Queen can really shine, showing off her world class striking abilities and chipping away at her opponents in rhythmic fashion.

Her strikes are always on beat, her kicks always performed on que. There is a certain beauty to Tamara's art of fighting, and she makes sure her opponents experience every second of it beneath her heel. She weakens their resolve with nonstop taunts and light-hearted verbal stabs throughout the match, only to end it with beautiful precision when her opponents have reached their mental and physical limits. She is cunning and creative, always thinking up new ways to defeat her rivals and put on a show for the crowd. She is as much of a show-woman as she is a fighter, and likes to perform moves that she knows the audience will get a kick out of.

However, Tamara can find herself in serious trouble if caught in the grasp of a skilled rival. Her submission and grappling skills are sub-par at best, and she can easily be bested by a powerful opponent capable of squeezing a submission out of her. That's why she prioritizes evasive maneuvers and aerial attacks above all else. The longer she can keep away from the grip of her opponents, the higher chance they will eventually succumb to her barrage of strikes. Her hesitancy to lockup with opponents can sometimes hinder her in more intimate match types, which is why Tamara prefers to render her opponent a weakened and beaten mess before having her fun with them.

Signature Moves:

Chibata: A modified cartwheel kick, Tamara first brings herself down as if she was about to do a cartwheel, then lets her first leg drop down folded to land on the ground, while the second leg is straightened out and aimed at her target. Tamara's heel will then come crashing down onto the top of her opponent's head, while her other leg will help propel her back up into a standing position immediately after the attack.

Chibata:

Aú Batido: Meant as a defensive maneuver, Tamara dodges an incoming strike by unsuspectingly throwing herself into a handstand slightly off to the side of her opponent, followed by a twist with the hips and a split, performing a downward strike with lower part of her shin against the opponent's head.

Aú Batido:

Flying Joelhada: Propelling herself with a running head start towards a fleeing foe, Tamara sends her leg soaring into the air, her foot poised to strike the chin of her opponent. The strike is usually strong enough to daze her opponent, allowing her to setup more chains of kicks and strikes.

Flying Joelhada:

Spinning Libélula: A helicopter kick variation with Tamara propping herself up on the ground and swinging her legs at amazing speeds. If an opponent is trapped up against the ropes or cage, multiple kicks may be to find their mark and inflict significant damage

Spinning Libélula:

Martelo: A spinning roundhouse kick aimed either at the head or jugular. It is a simple and effective moved, but Tamara uses it with amazing speed that can make impact a  painful experience for the person on the receiving end. It also serves as a great setup for Tamara's Flying Joelhada, as she is aptly position to swing her leg up again and chain the attack

Biography

Personality:
Tamara is a young, jubilant girl with a strong and wild spirit. She carries a cheerful disposition about her, and is constantly seeking adventure and action. She can almost always been seen wearing a bright and warm smile on her face, even in the midst of battle, and rarely takes things too seriously. She hates idleness above all else, and views every minute of stagnation a minute wasted. she is normally seen smiling or laughing sweetly.

While she is very energetic and jubilant, she is also witty and cunning. She loves to throw playful taunts and general 'smack talk' towards her opponent, and while these are almost always in jest, one can't help but detect perhaps a slight bit of smugness hidden beneath her cheery tone.

Tamara is also fiercely competitive, and views losing as perhaps the only thing that can put her in a sour mood.  She has the most fun when she wins, and personally believes that the thrill of victory after a hard-fought match is unparalleled in it's euphoric feeling. She won't go out of her way to cause unnecessary harm or injury, but certainty won't hesitate to push her opponent to their limits if she feels the need for it. She prefers fair combat, and will never stoop to the level of cheating herself.

She is a massive showboat, and will even take precocious seconds out of a match to put on dazzling displays for the audience, usually at the expense of her poor opponents. Cartwheels, flips, rolls, and dives are all part of her arsenal, and she will use them to great effect to entertain the crowds. She loves the high of winning above all else, and will pursue moments to show off her physical and sensual prowess in the ring whenever she desires. Her constant gloating and showing off impress some, but also tend to annoy others, all culminating into a healthy mix of friends and enemies that Tamara has picked up over her fighting career.


History:
Born on the Dutch Caribbean island of Bonaire, Tamara was fortunate enough to know martial arts her whole life. Her parents both operated one of the few martial arts schools on the island, and were able to infuse her with the love of combat from a very young age. Her mother was of Brazilian decent, and a master Capoeira practitioner. Tamara already displayed a natural love of music and a natural aptitude for rhythm, makin the martial art a perfect for her. She became known locally as the "Dancing Queen" based on the almost dance like trance she would enter would practicing Capoeira.

Fearing that Capoeira wasn't of any practical use to her, Tamara's European father taught her much of what he knew about Dutch kickboxing, and while the striking techniques and skills she learned were always of great value to her, there was something about Capoeira that always drew. The natural rhythm to it all, it just felt so natural, so right. And yet she couldn't help but feel that her father was somewhat right, that Capoeira would forever restrict her to theatrical displays. Nevertheless, she practiced relentlessly, sticking with the martial art and slowly developing her own style suited for traditional combat.

She began seeking ways to practice her developed skills, eventually enter free fighting mixed martial arts competitions around South America. She was initially ridiculed, being the only Capoeira practionner to participate in the events. It was pretty soon after her first win that others started taking her more seriously. She flowed around the mat with ease, capitalizing on the unpredictability of her unique fighting form to constantly surprise attack her opponents. She was hailed a local hero and champion, thus earning allowing to experience her first thrill of victory.

Naturally she began seeking more ways to fuse her love of Capoeira with that of combat. Eventually she heard of a new league forming in the midst of one the greatest wrestling circuits on Earth, far away in the Land of the Rising Sun. Immediately she was hooked. Finally a place where she could put her Capoeira to the test against some of the world's most skilled, and sexiest martial artists and fighters. With her parents blessing, she set out to Japan, excited dance, fighting, and seduce her way to victory.


Fun Facts

- Tamara has always wanted to travel and see the world, but her consistent dedication to Capoeira didn't leave her much time. She's hoping to use some of her free time and earning from AFW to ravel when she gets the chance.

- She plays several traditional instruments, and despite receiving very little formal training in music theory, is almost naturally pitch perfect.

- While she finds it very difficult to get out of most submission holds, she can't help but admit she enjoys the moment of heightened intimacy, despite it's implications for the match.

- Telling Tamara that Capoeira isn't a real martial art is a sure-fir way to end up on her list of most hated rivals.
