Strategy: Maura is an all-rounder with a penchant for submission and smother based moves. She is able to deliver a full arsenal of strikes, slams, and basic aerial attacks, but will almost always makes sure that the match ends in a grueling submission on an otherwise completely battered opponent. She can be rather malicious towards opponents of all skill levels, especially when she has built up a considerable amount of momentum. Her sadistic side can easily flare up, and she eagerly seeks opportunities to abuse her opponents to her perverted heart's desire. As a result, she will often prolong a match to the point of KO or repeated verbal submission, refusing to let her opponent yield until she is bored toying with her victim.

Maura places her owns satisfaction in the ring above anything else, and won't hesitate to bend the rules of the match if it helps her gain the upper hand and have more twisted fun in the process. Biography

Personality: Maura is a very solemn and reserved individual. Outside the ring she likes to keep to herself and is otherwise known as a women of very few words. She has always harbored malicious and sadistic intentions, but only chooses to let them loose once inside the ring where she is much more open and willing to dish out loads of verbal and physical abuse. Her narcissistic and self-absorbed nature means she has more enemies than she does friends, a fact that Maura takes great pride in.

Maura believes that the road to the top is a cold and ruthless one. She is unwilling to makes compromises with anyone, instead carving out her own path and doing whatever it takes to meet her own goals. Her desire to win goes beyond just regular competitiveness; for her, it's much more primal and cut-throat than that.

She gets a sick kick out of trampling over and grounding others beneath her heel, and views the ring as her personal playground to exert her dominance and live out her darkest fantasies. A match with Maura is much more than a competition, it is a brutal and grueling affair, one that will push any combatant to their limits.

Her domineering persona makes her a prime target of super-faces, and other heroines who feel the need to stamp out evil in the ring. Maura is willing to face any and all opponents, but particularly enjoys squashing wanna-be do-gooders who think they can put a stop to overly-sadistic antics. While they are welcome to try, Maura is a difficult opponent to beat, and those who do end up defeating her may find themselves embroiled in a bitter rivalry as she tries to viscously reclaim her self-perceived spot at the top. She doesn't take to kindly to a loss, and will do everything in her power to rectify it. She is vengeful and spiteful, and will not show even the slightest bit of mercy to those she perceives as rivals.

Past/History: Maura was born into a stable and working class family on the lower east side of Manchester, England. From an outsiders perspective, Maura seemed to live an ordinary life, but deep down she harbored troubling and disturbing tendencies. She first began exploring these inclination on the family cat, who she would regularly pick on and taunt. As a toddler, she would regularly prod, poke and annoy the feline; a behavior her parents chalked up to an overly curious and kinesthetic personality. Pretty soon however, Maura progressed to throwing, slapping and hitting the family pet - behaviors that eventually convinced her parents that Maura's intentions may actually be much more violent in nature.

After consulting with specialists, Maura was put into a behavioral grade school for troubled children. Her behavior didn't stop however, and instead she took out her frustrations on fellow classmates. This continued well into her middle-school years, with school staff struggling to prevent Maura from terrorizing the other children. One teacher proposed that instead of forcefully inhibiting her violent tendencies, it might be best to foster them in a more safe and competitive environment. Thus, Maura was forcefully signed up to the school wrestling team, and while she despised the idea at first, she soon grew to love the sport. She was a natural at it, and found that slamming, grappling, and wrestling her way to victory provided the same cathartic relief that her incessant torturing did.

Now well into her high school years at a normal school, Maura's personality somewhat began to tame, and her dark and gothic aesthetic allowed her to make friends with the emo crowd at school. She would religiously watch televised wrestling at home after school and grew particularly found of the Japanese promotion known as AFW, and knew from that very moment that that was what she wanted to do with her life; to display her prowess in unrestricted combat. But she knew school wrestling wasn't going to cut it, and soon began seeking out other venues to fight in. She was eventually admitted into an exclusive youth wrestling promotion based in London, where her Greco-Roman training soon morphed into the pro-style she excellently wields to this day.

She advanced into adult promotions following her graduation, intent on making a name for herself where she could. It became apparent very soon that her dominance in the ring was unmatched in the local promotions, and Maura quickly became annoyed at the ease at which she was winning her fights. Her anger culminating one night in a particularly unrewarding NHB match in which Maura was completely dominating, eventually pushing her opponent to the point of injury. She was disqualified from the league after the incident, but at the same time managed to catch the eye of an AFW promoter who just happened to be at the venue. Impressed with her skill, and recognizing that she wasn't being challenged enough, Maura was offered a contract to fight in her dream promotion, to which she happily accepted. Finally, Maura would be able to do what she knew how to do best: Fight and destroy. And better yet, she was finally in a league that wouldn't hold her back.
