Combat Attitude: Nicky may not be in the boxing business to make friends, but she sees no reasons to make such a brutal sport more unpleasant, tense, and taxing than it already is. She's polite and cordial all the way up to the bell, and that pleasant attitude returns when the match is over, win or lose. She has no concept of the mental game, is complete garbage at creative trash talk, and is seemingly easily flustered by the attitude of opponents who don't reciprocate the good sportsmanship that she offers to all her adversaries in the ring. As far as she's concerned, whatever blood spilled in the ring is impersonal, just a byproduct of business; two girls step in, one girl walks out in triumph. It's as honest and direct a competition as one can get in an increasingly dishonest world.

Which does not stop her from being an utterly merciless opponent once the bell is rung. Nicky isn't in the ring to score points or coast to a majority decision. She's there to do everything in her power to put her opponent 6 feet under, to leave zero ambiguity that she's the better woman. She will keep going until her opponent is paste splattered against her gloves. After all, it's the responsibility of the referee or the corner to protect the fighters, she's just here to take the gold home. Nicky may be an empathetic girl at heart and not particularly enthused about hurting other girls, but hey, they both signed on the dotted line before stepping into the arena.

Combat Strategy: Nicky is a high-pressure swarmer. The moment the bell rings, she comes out swinging and keeps on escalating. She's always moving forward, always controlling and corralling the movement of her opponent, and always landing, landing, landing with hard, vicious hits. Key to her strategy is her impeccable sense of movement. Nicky is a developing, fairly well-rounded fighter who excels primarily in one area: footwork. She is a master of the ebb and the flow of the ring, how to maneuver into any spot and angle within the ring, and how to keep her opponent where she wants them. If she isn't hitting, she's clinching to alter positioning or interrupt her opponent, if she isn't clinching she's taking a brief step back and around so she can resume hitting once more. Nicky will keep going until her opponent is down and out from her relentless barrage and frustratingly impeccable footwork.

Unfortunately, her style has drawbacks. Nicky has yet to fully develop the stamina and the stamina management to fully embrace her high-octane swarming ring control style. It's not that she has bad stamina, it's that her style takes too much out of her. Thus, she goes hard within the fast half of an extended boxing match, expecting to put her opponent out quickly before she starts to fade hard in the 2nd half. If her opponent survives her onslaught, she tends to dramatically alter her approach in the later parts of the match, relying on counterpunching and footwork to pick them off. The far more likely scenario, however, is that anyone who goes the distance with her will end up in an ugly, tired, inelegant slugfest of attrition.... a mode of combat she is far less confident of winning.

Defense:★★★ - Nicky's not particularly focused on defense but her strong footwork helps her go in and out of positions deftly. Otherwise, she's almost all offense. Her guard isn't particularly exceptional and she relies more on pressure volume to deter her opponent rather than blocking or parrying.

Personality: Nicky knows what she wants and she knows what she needs to do to get it. She intends to be remembered as one of the greats in the boxing world by the time she's done, and she's long reconciled what she needs to do with her natural empathy. She's a nice, polite middle-class Briton who transforms into someone else she doesn't really want staring back in the mirror when she steps into the ring. That being said, she reasons, she doesn't need to be a bitch about it on her climb to the top. She's always as helpful, friendly, and people-pleasing as she can afford to be in any situation, always ready to say a nice word, always ready to compliment opponents before and after the fight, always ready to check on them when they drop to the canvas before she celebrates. Good sportsmanship keeps combat athletes from being animals.... or at least that's what she tells herself.

As the child of a military family, Nicky is very much an English patriot. She recognizes the sheer colonial damage done by the past, but she reasons that acknowledgment of that bloody past and a desire to do better, to be better, is part of loving your country. Everything she does to conduct herself in both local and foreign promotions is a representation of her country to the rest of the world, and she's eager to make make sure they come across well.

History: The parental expectations in life were straightforward for Nicolette Gunnery, 2nd child out of three: excel at school and sports, finish her A levels, and get into Sandhurst as an officer cadet and live your life serving queen and country. Her father was a Calvary Colonel for the Royal Hussars, her mother an NCO with the Royal Engineers, and her elder brother was a captain in Artillery. Her path in life was determined for her long before she could walk, and she was perfectly okay with it. Service was, after all, its own reward. She was an avid athlete, a model student, and she got into Sandhurst before her 18th birthday. Easy peasy.

What led to the deviation of her path was the bi-annual Sandhurst boxing tournament and blah blah she liked it, folks weren't happy im gonna WIP this part atm.
