Background: 
To fully understand Marisa and her motivations and principles one has to learn about her mother first. Claire Armfield was an only daughter and a little of an oddball. When she was young she didn’t make the best decisions, got in a couple of messy situations and entangled with the wrong people to the point she ended up pregnant at age 15. She decided to go along with the pregnancy and that was how Marisa came to this world. Claire was cast out by her parents and left to fend off for herself, but the woman was resolved to give that new creature a decent life even despite the father fled at his first chance. At first they moved around a little and Claire took whatever decent job she could get, but in the end after some rough years they could settle at last.

Claire had learnt a powerful lesson in life, and her main objective became to raise a decent woman who wouldn’t fall for the same mistakes she fell for. That was how she raised Marisa Freya (named like that in a whim after a name Claire liked and a book she was reading about norse myths while pregnant) and the woman she became was a confident but not cocky, kind but not naive person.

When she was blooming, Marisa had a teenager love with a classmate, that girlfriend got her into a weird hobby she had: pro wrestling. Both of them started going to a wrestling club and also having some weirder, more steamy kind of matches in private. In the end it looked like Marisa could excell at it because she was offered a scholarship for college while wrestling.

Marisa attended college and got a degree in psychollogy with some honors. She also practiced wrestling during that time, but that part of it didn’t interest her as much as pro wrestling. During college she got a side job as a part time pro wrestler for some indie leagues and it turned out she loved the show and everything surrounding it to the point of thinking about making a career out of it. Later, she learnt about the AFW and began a regime of training intended to travel to Japan and catch the federation’s attention, thing she just did in an invitational tournament in which she performed admirably.

- Mother knows best: She enjoys a pretty solid relationship with her mother, and they are so close and share some stuff they wouldn’t be able to, but thanks to the small age gap between them both feel young and strong.

- Cat person: Marisa loves cats, but she cannot have one at home so she frequently visits cat cafes so she can spend some time with the kitties.
