Princess Daisy Petals vs. Blair Dame - La Princesse et la Reine

While Blair did her best work at a distance, she didn’t lack for up close options, either, able to dish out a not-insignificant amount of damage even at this range. It was a fact that she had no qualms demonstrating for the audience and the AFW at large, and Daisy would be a more than suitable opponent in this endeavor.

”Fortune favors the bold, dear.” She couldn’t resist a sly smirk as she pushed Daisy away, having successfully seized the initiative in this pitched battle. She took a step forward, eager to press her advantage, only to find that her foe seemed intent on making it easy for her to do so. Coming in so quick, with the same stance, no adjustments? For shame, little one.

Blair was prepared to meet a similar approach with a similar response, only to find herself outfound when her opponent ducked low and lashed out with a low sweep. An unorthodox move and one that took the veteran off guard, slicing her at the ankle and forcing her to fall back. She recovered quick, kicked her legs up and rolled back to one knee, but she still found herself in a vulnerable position and raised her arms up in defense, preparing for whatever would come next.

It seemed as though Daisy's little trick actually paid off! Blair was caught off guard, by the deception, thinking Daisy was using the same stance. However, the monarch would successfully trip her adversary, getting her with a low sweep attack! This made the older woman fall back, though she did rise pretty quick, even if it was only on one knee.

Seeing her opponent in a vulnerable position, Daisy immediately sprang into action. She wasted no time on teasing, as that could come, when she was in a position of total control. So instead, she raced forward and turned around, sticking out her backside. Daisy aimed to throw a powerful hip attack at Blair's face, hoping to break her arm defense, and settle into a facesit!

She would give the ‘Princess’ credit where it was due. Few could’ve pulled off such a maneuver, showing a good degree of skill to go along with her silly demeanor and voluptuous form. There was a true martial artist beneath all of that, one with a keen eye and solid form, and Blair had been around enough to recognize it.

This was inevitable. Irritating - especially so close in the match - but inevitable.

Her foe was quick to capitalize on the opening she had made, closing the distance lashing out with, of all things. It gave Blair a close, personal view of a body part she would no doubt see much of in the coming minutes, right before it slammed into her face and knocked her flat, laying her out and making her easy prey for a facesit.

It might have worked, too, if she hadn’t been quick on the uptake. Instead, Blair was able to throw her hips up the moment the Princess came down on her face, bridging up hard and avoiding the position. It was a quick save, however, and she was under no delusions - she was in a poor position. Her only recourse was escape, and she threw her legs up hard and rolled to the side, trying hard to get to her feet and backpedal before Daisy could once again press her advantage.

It was widely known in other wrestling industries, that Daisy had one powerful backside. Blair would be receiving a big reminder of that fact a very big one indeed. The monarch's running hip attack met its mark, smacking Blair hard in the face. This would send the woman straight down to the mat, with a audible 'THUD' as some crowd members cheered in response.

However, the princess did have quite the skilled opponent. Blair had some pretty solid hips as well, throwing them up right on time, to maneuver away from a potential facesitting. However, Blair was still in a disadvantageous position, and Daisy certainly wanted to exploit on this! Quickly getting up, after her failed facesit attempt, Daisy would rush over to her currently struggling adversary. With one fluid motion, Daisy would leap, and attempt to crush Blair with a huge body splash. "WOOOO!"

A small part of Blair had to admire the younger woman, even though she was her rival. She had an energy to her, this vibe that reminded the elder wrestler of her younger days. She often lamented how so many in this newer generation eschewed theatrics and shied away from the sort of flamboyance that made their sport so unique, so seeing it in this young soul was refreshing, a welcome change.

She was still going to beat her ragged and sit on her face, but there would be a modicum of respect behind it. Not all of Blair’s opponents could say that.

Before that, though, she had to return to her position of dominance, a far cry from where she currently was. An opportunity was coming her way, however, if the sound of rushing feet towards her was anything to go by.

When Daisy went high, Blair spun about on her back and brought up her knees, tucking them tight to her chest. It would be a rough landing for them both, but she was counting on it being just a little rougher for Daisy.

Daisy was up against an older, more professional, more sophisticated opponent. But that didn't mean the princess was any less of a serious threat. The skill the monarch showed, as well as her energy-filled attitude may have earned Ms. Petals some respect from Blair, even if it wasn't obvious yet. Anyhow, the monarch was ready to continue, by going for a painful bodysplash.

Unfortunately, it would end up being more painful for Daisy, since Blair just had to raise her knees up. As the royal came down, this act from her foe hurt Daisy's abdomen and chest. "Arrrgh!" The flower-themed wrestler grunted, taking some recoil damage from the attack. Even if Blair was hurt less, hopefully both wrestlers would be a bit rattled.  

Daisy groaned and rolled off to the side, before getting up and taking a step or two back. "Wh-Why you!" She pouted in frustration. If Blair was attempting to rise up, Daisy would try and stop her. The spunky woman would raise her knee, before quickly going for a side kick towards her rival's head.

No, having Daisy land on her was far from pleasant for Blair. In truth, she would’ve been much better served simply moving out of the way and avoiding the attack altogether, but that option wasn’t open to her. No time, too winded. So she did the best with what she had, and this was the result - her opponent was left aching and gasping, and space was created. A win. A small win, but you had to start from somewhere.

Now she just had to get back up. Blair was never the fastest, and she needed a good couple of seconds to roll away and push herself up, time that Daisy used to recover, too. She was only getting to her knees when her foe came rushing towards, raising up her knees for another strike. Blair brought her arms up to block, but blocking a kick only got one so far - the attack still had enough power to spin her around, despite the size difference.

But she could work with that. She was going down, but it didn’t have to be without sending out some return fire. As Blair spun, she used the momentum to aide her and shot her leg out, coming at Daisy’s ankles with a sweeping kick.

Blair's last second plan to counter Daisy's bodysplash had hurt the monarch. But the royal managed to fight through the recoil damage and rise up before her opponent. And as Blair was getting to her knees, Daisy came at her for a potentially devastating kick to the head. The princess wanted to keep up the pressure on Blair, not wanting to give her any openings or much recovery time.

The older woman managed to raise her arms for a block, but the momentum of the kick still forced her body to spin. However, Blair's efforts prevented the strike from doing as much as Daisy would've liked. This prompted the princess to let out a grunt of annoyance. "Ugghh-Whoa!" Daisy yelped, as she was caught off guard by Blair's tenacity. Even after being struck, the blue-haired girl managed to sweep kick Daisy's legs, forcing the royal to trip! "Ouch!"

Daisy fell ungracefully on her side. She was a little stunned and likely in a worse position then Blair, who had went down from a lower altitude.

Ah, that worked. More or less.

It could have gone far worse for Blair, at least. Yes, she had been knocked on her rear and was aching, but she had fallen in a manner that had put Daisy in a worse situation. That was something she could - and would - work with.

Knowing her time would be short, she decided to go with something quick, but effective. She rolled over and came to one knee, getting some height over her fallen opponent. With her target in sight, she went into motion right away and threw her body forward, spinning through the air, letting her legs come through in a perfect arc.

It was a wild path to take, and one that would end with her feet crashing into her opponent’s stomach, hitting her with a sharp somersault leg drop.

Daisy was tripped by Blair's sweep kick, leaving the monarch in a vulnerable position. A position that her opponent wasted no time capitalizing on, much to the dismay of Ms. Petals. She didn't get up in time, but Daisy turned her head to notice Blair spring high into the air, from the older woman's kneeling position.

With grace, speed, and skill, Blair came down on the monarch with that somersault leg drop. The lady preformed the move with great accuracy and precision. And more importantly, it hurt like hell. Daisy let out a high-pitched cry of sharp pain, as the downed girl also had some wind knocked out of her. Aside from some involuntary coughing, the princess would remain stunned for the time being. This left Blair in an advantageous position, after what had been a mostly even back and forth thus far.
