For the first time in a long time, Karen and Victoria remained silent due to the fact that they simply did not know what to say. The Japanese girl and her manager were driving to the place of the new match. It was a quiet night. The sleeping area of Tokyo now seemed very empty, there were practically no people on the street. All of this perfectly reflected Karen's mood. She's let down too many people lately. She let her manager down. But, most painfully, she let her best friend down.
Perhaps only a very lazy person did not talk about the results of the Splash. Karen never cared about what other people were saying. If you care a lot about what others think of you, you risk becoming the most popular dead person in town. But there are things that Karen just couldn't help but think about. She could not understand why it all happened? She was not proud, she knew how to admit any result.
Karen ordered the driver to stop, they were almost there anyway. Leaving the car, she closed the door and walked the rest of the way. With her hands in her pockets, she walked down the street with a scowl. She was wearing sneakers, pants, a sports bra, an elastic hoody, and a jacket.
She tried not to think about everything that had happened recently. But the thoughts themselves climbed into her head, she could not do anything about it. She has not lost a single match. She won the title of Horsewoman of the Apocalypse. But it was not enough. Not for her, but for her friend. The Japanese girl wanted to scream because of how angry she was with herself.
But it was useless, Karen knew it. The world is a cruel and unjust place. Not everyone gets what they want. Moreover, not everyone gets what they deserve. She didn't get what she wanted. And Margarita didn't get what she deserved. Life is shit. And, as she told to Victoria, the only way out that Karen has now seen is to go back to the start. Again start kicking the shit out of all of them who get in her way. After event like that, your rating drops to almost zero.
Without noticing it, Karen came to the place. Back alley. The girl took a deep breath, the smell of debris and dirt filling her lungs. Like at home. After all, it was in such places that she began to fight. It was in places like this that she became one of the best street fighters in Tokyo before joining AFW. Karen looked around, there was plenty of space and light. Good, because it would be sad if she had to fight in the shadows without being able to move freely. Here and there rubbish was scattered like boards, sticks, bottles and God knows what else. Several metal bins with lids, one huge trash can. Everything is in the best traditions of street fighting.
She lifted her head and with a slight smirk found many cameras on the walls. Of course, no one wants to miss such a spectacle, because even despite the rating, the Hawk Moth remained popular among viewers. Well, all that remained was to wait for her rival. Considering that this was a debutant who agreed to such conditions at the first match, the night promised to be interesting. However, this did not change anything, Karen's goals remained unchanged.

Re: [Street Fight Match] Hawk Moth vs Siren Willow - Like At Home
Considering the kind of match she had lined up for her debut, Siren didn't seem nearly as phased as she should have been. Instead She was perched up against the side of a convivence store she had just left, a strawberry red lolilpop in her mouth and her phone in her hand. Her girlfriend Yasuda had been texting her like crazy for the past hour, vehemently trying to dissuade her from participating in a match like this on her debut. She kept spamming a litany of reasons, going on and on in paragraphed chunks about how it wasn't right for her career optics, or the potential for injury that was too much for a debut, or how it wasn't even in a 'proper fighting environment.'
Siren couldn't help but snicker at that last one. As much as she wanted to text Yasuda back about her debut wasn't all that conventional either, she was running late, and her time seemed better spent heading on over to the alley where the fight would take place. She texted a curt but appreciative 'Don't worry Yasuda, ttyl' with a wink emoticon. She was sure Yasuda would be glued to her screen back at their shared apartment, biting her nails as she watched her best friend and greatest lover bash and be bashed inbetween two buildings. She appreciated the concern, she really did, but the end of the day the only thing new about this fight was that this time it was actually sanctioned, in a real league, with cameras and the whole shebang to capture it all. A more... supportive pep-talk would have been appreciated in Siren's mind.
She quickly shrugged the thought off, swiping up with her finger to discard the wall of texts and instead navigating to the GPS app on her phone. She began walking to her destination, which was only a few blocks away, gazing between her phone and the unusually empty night sidewalk she was walking on. The street itself was nearly devoid of cars, all except for one that whizzed past her in the same general direction she was heading to. All black, tinted windows - must be someone important. She continued sucking on the lollipop all the way, enjoying the sweet taste as her sneakers scuffed along the pavement. She took one last look at her phone, memorizing the last few turns before putting the device away into her jacket pocket, along with both her hands as she neared the bend into tonight's designated arena. The rest of her setup wasn't all that conventional, but it fit her well nonetheless. Along with the her jacket and low-top sneakers, she wore a baseball cap, black cargo shorts, an off-white blouse, and a black choker.
The tip of her sneaker clanged with a piece of rusted metal as she neared the bend of the alley. She peaked down at it, before kicking it off behind her. The rest of the alley was littered with various debris of impressive variety. It fit with the usual back alley aesthetic, although the amount of ruble did manage to catch her off guard, especially for a city as well kept as Tokyo. In all honesty, it wouldn't have surprised her if the deviants who signed off on this match had thrown in a few extra tidbits just for fun. Judging from the multitude of cameras lining the walls on either side of her, and the sort of demographic that would tune in to watch something like this in the first place, it certainly wasn't a far off theory. Her eyes drifted back downwards, finally picking up on a shaded figure standing in the middle of the alley.
She let her eyes adjust as she made her way over to what had to be her opponent. She crunched down on the last bit of her lollipop as she came to a stop a few feet away from the woman, taking out the now empty stick and tossing it into the nearby open trashcan. It was pretty apparent just from first glance that the girl had a noticeable size and weight advantage when compared to Siren. It wasn't too worrying for the young streetfighter, having fought girls of various builds in the past, but it certainly was something to be wary of. Still, she hid her worry behind a neutral expression and inquiring gaze towards her opponent. It went without saying that she was attractive and well built, dressed in street clothes that fit well together, or at least better than her own attire, and obviously taking great care of her physique and appearance.
She hadn't done much research on her, and Siren preferred to keep it that way. All that she would need to know about the woman would reveal itself in a few short moment, although she did seem somewhat agitated, as if upset by something. Probably just getting herself in the fighting mood, although Siren opted for a much neutral expression herself. She cleared her throat and began shifting her body while taking off her jacket, deciding to start off the introductions as she did so.
"Hey, I'm Siren. Sorry I'm late." She delivered the curt introduction with her signature apathetic tone as she slipped her last arm out of her jacket and placed it down gently against the wall to her right. She took her baseball cap off and it placed it neatly on top, doing her best to make sure that her valuables would be kept out of harms way and leaving her with her blouse, shorts and sneakers. She returned back to her stance in front of her opponent, arms by her side, shoulders rolled back, and body loosened and at the ready. "Just say the word, I'm ready when you are." Any other type of match, and Siren would have been the first one to reach out and offer an amicable handshake. But seeing how well that played out for her girlfriend's debut, and considering there wasn't any ref here to facilitate 'fair play,' she decided on leaving any pleasantries to her opponent if she decided to pursue them. Or not, either was perfectly fine with Siren, so long as they got to tussling sooner rather than later.

Re: [Street Fight Match] Hawk Moth vs Siren Willow - Like At Home
Standing alone in the middle of the back alley, Karen concluded that she had a few more minutes, or maybe a little more, before her rival showed up. The Japanese girl sighed heavily and walked over to the nearest wall, leaning her back on it. The cameras were already watching her, but she didn't care much about it. Viewers have already seen her smile and her frowning. Today her face was really frowning. Of all the girls and women Victoria cared for, she was always the one who looked at things the most realistically.
However, now the thoughts in Karen's head were like a bunch of parasites that were destroying her from the inside. More than anything, she wanted to help her friend. She never aspired to gold because she was not very interested in it. However, even without this, she earned the love of the public with blood, sweat and skill. She had the right to demand a match of the highest level.
Something was moving at the end of the back alley. Karen turned her head and saw a person approaching, this interrupted her thought process, which she was even glad about. She couldn't help but think about all of this, but she was glad for any opportunity to get away from this shit, especially with the help of a match. Karen pushed off the wall and walked out into the middle of the back alley to meet her rival face to face. Finally, the figure came out into the light.
The Japanese girl almost immediately felt a studying gaze on her. This look was familiar to her. Her rival immediately began assessing Karen's physical parameters. And for her it was already at least some kind of information. Victoria, as always, wanted to provide everything she could find, but Karen had other thoughts on this matter. She preferred to do everything herself, including studying the opponent. Only someone who has been in a fight more than once can look with such a look. So, despite the fact that this is the debut match in pro-wrestling for this girl, this is definitely not her first fight. Interesting.
"What?" Karen thought, raising her left eyebrow slightly.
Did the girl who called herself Siren just apologize for being late? Karen was never against politeness, but the bottom line was that in more than half of her matches, before the start of the fight, she heard threats and promises about her dead body in the end. And considering that up to this point, none of her matches had come close to the potential brutality of today's match... it was all a bit weird. Okay, maybe not weird, but quite unexpected.
“No need, you're just in time,” she replied in her high-pitched voice, her bad mood and frown did not affect her catchy voice.
Following the example of her rival, Karen took a few steps to the side, taking off her jacket. Choosing the least messy trash can, she put the jacket on the lid. Thus, she remained in sneakers, pants and an elastic hoody. She couldn't say that she was counting on additional protection or that she was afraid of getting dirty, it was just that she was more comfortable. Returning to the center of the alley, she had the opportunity to take another look at Siren. This maroon-haired girl was about three inches shorter and somewhat lighter than Karen. In general, the Japanese girl could say that physically she is superior to her rival. This could not but rejoice, but this wasn't mean a reason to relax. Besides, this girl was attractive. Karen felt a slight prick. It was all like the second match with Lily. Karen did not like to fight with those whom she considered attractive.
The match could be started right now, because the American girl said that she was ready at any moment. Karen hadn't forgotten that, unlike Siren, she hadn't introduced herself. Well... it really was a little weird, Karen's experience suggested that the best thing to do now is to nod and start the match. Especially considering all the conditions of this match. She from the beginning didn't come to this back alley to make friends. And knowing that at the end of the match someone would most likely be left lying right here, unable to move, the chances of friendship after such a match were approximately zero. Although... who knows... besides, Charlotte will be unhappy if Karen does not show proper respect for the rival, regardless of the match.
“Name’s the Hawk Moth,” Karen introduced herself, taking a step forward and holding out her hand, “nothing personal.”
Only her friends and family can call her Karen. And to say something like "wish you a good match" would be hypocrisy, since Karen was going to beat shit and blood out of this girl. Karen's strong point was sarcasm, not hypocrisy. However, now she decided to do without both of these things. So her greeting was simple, but at least honest. She could only hope that her rival would accept the handshake and everything would go smoothly.
After all, if there were no problems at the stage of greeting, Karen would have taken two steps back in order to take up a fighting stance. Right foot one step back. The fists are raised to the level of the chin, the left hand is slightly in front. The chin is slightly lowered. The body is slightly turned to the side and also slightly inclined forward. Universal boxing stance.
“Ready,” Karen would say shortly.

Re: [Street Fight Match] Hawk Moth vs Siren Willow - Like At Home
The balled fists at Siren's side slowly loosened into a more relaxed position as her opponent outstretched her hand gesturing for an amicable shake. She returned the gesture by outstretching her hand and clasping onto her opponent's, doing a few up and down shakes before released her grasp. It was just another back alley fight, like the dozens of others she had competed in before, no reason the two of them couldn't be somewhat professional about this, at least at the start. She had not doubt that in the heat of the fight things would quickly turn sour as they often did, so starting off with this brief and to-the-point greeting was probably as 'friendly' as their interaction was about to get.
She gave one last nod, acknowledging Hawk Moth's assertion that this fight wouldn't be personable. That went without saying of course, but when the insults came hurtling, and the fist came flying, and the bloods goes splattering, it was nice to know in the back of your mind that their wasn't any real animosity behind those attacks. Then again, it was easy to to say those things now, when both were unscathed and in full form. Only time would tell if that sentiment would still be the same when they were both thoroughly beaten, bruised and bloodied.
Siren took multiples steps backwards, ensuring there was enough space between them while mirroring the exact same stance her opponent had put up. She let out a few deep breaths, properly preparing herself before slowly moving into motion. There wasn't any official way to start off the match other their mutual acknowledgment, and with that, Siren would slowly start circling her opponent, fists still raises and eyes sill fixated on her opponent's as she crossed one leg over the other, seeking out an opportunity to strike first. Their forms were mirror images of one another, meaning there wasn't much in the way of easily exploitable weakness right off the bat. If Siren was looking for a chink in Hawk Moth's armor, she was going to have to create one herself.
After a few seconds, Siren would be the first one to lash out. She lunged forward, pushing off the ground with her rear leg and rearing her left arm backwards in what would look to be a left hook aimed for the girl's side. She hoped it would be enough to prompt her rival to transition her guard to the desired location, but once she was within a few feet of her opponent, she would drop her left hook entirely before transitioning the punch into a jab wit her right fist aimed for her opponent's stomach. It was risky considering how much distance she had to cover, allotting her opponent enough time to potentially analyze the maneuver if she was keen enough, but Siren nonetheless decided to start off with a fake left hook before switching to a right jab at the last second

Re: [Street Fight Match] Hawk Moth vs Siren Willow - Like At Home
Their palms joined in a handshake. It didn't last long, but for Karen it was enough. It is never a bad thing to clarify some points. Especially considering that Siren nodded at the Japanese girl's words that there was nothing personal here. Indeed, by the end of the match, everything could have changed, but at the moment Karen remains true to one of her principles. What happened yesterday is already forgotten. Nobody knows what will happen tomorrow. Only the current moment is important. Therefore, she was going to treat her rival with an open mind until Siren gave her a reason for something else. Girls took several steps back at the same time.
Interesting. Their fighting stances were almost identical. The Hawk Moth noted that her rival is holding herself quite confidently, it seems that she was not mistaken about the fact that the American girl already has experience behind her back. Well, it only meant that Karen had to be on guard. She never acted rashly in matches and today was not the best day to act like that. Karen was going to research her rival first, so she didn't rush into the attack. Instead, both girls began to move in a circle, neither of them losing sight of each other. Not bad.
Siren also acted cautiously, perhaps she was expecting the first attack from Karen, but the Japanese girl did not give her such pleasure. Composure, in such moments it is necessary to maintain composure. Therefore, she only continued to slowly approach her rival. It was necessary to understand how Siren was going to act. And the answer was not long in coming.
The girl with dark purple hair rushed forward, closing the distance. The Hawk Moth's eyes were fixed on her rival's chin, which allowed her to observe most of the American girl's body. The first hit is always important, it can set the tone for the whole match. And she didn't want to get into trouble with that. Siren's left hand moved back. A hook? No, only the beginner will prepare the punch in advance, and Karen was ready to believe that her opponent was not so primitive. Karen's defenses remained in place. She remained in place.
And not in vain, because instead of a left hook, the right hand of the American girl began to move forward. The Hawk Moth took a short breath, filling her body with oxygen. If the match should start with boxing, then she was not against it, because it was her main weapon, which brought her victory in many matches here. To avoid the right jab, she intended to take a quick but short diagonal step forward and to the right. This would allow her not only to get out of the line of attack, but also to reach the unprotected left side of Siren.
"Let's put your strength to the test," Karen thought.
The classic will never die. Especially when this classic is appropriate. Combination 1-2. The fastest weapon in a boxer's arsenal, which can bring, if not a quick victory, then a significant advantage. And Karen intended to use it. A left jab to the chin to disorient her rival or dislodge her defense to expose her face. And then a right cross to the left cheekbone in order to cause not only wild pain, but dizziness. Karen wanted to see how well her opponent could handle the bare knuckles bumping into her skull.
