Amber Vs. Raquel

Raquel had managed to send Amber down to the mat and would go for a quick early pin against her foe! She felt like she had caught her opponent by surprise and wanted to capitalize on this as best she could. Raquel covered Amber, reaching down to hook a leg as she hoped to get off to a very quick 2-0 start to her AFW career!

The referee moved in to place and began to count the pin as Raquel kept Amber down.

"ONE!"

Amber didn’t know what to expect when she first saw Raquel. Of course the woman looked energetic and optimistic, with an eagerness to show her best in the ring and all those were admirable traits in a young wresler like them, but the Inventor wasn’t expecting her rival coming at her with that burst of energy and power at all! Completely caught by surprise, the first minutes of the match would consist on Amber being beaten to the mat several times, and to add insult to injury Raquel would attempt an early pin after that!

But Amber was far from defeated, not physically nor mentally. If else, she was now feeling even more pumped knowing that her rival was a fierce opponent! Knowing that she would need the best of her skills threw adrenaline all around her system. Jerking her body before the count could even reach two, Amber made a statement: she wasn’t going down easily. As she got up, she understood that letting Raquel strike once more could turn against her, so she got ready for some counter: next time Raquel would get close Amber would retaliate with a big boot to the woman’s upper chest.

Raquel felt Amber kick out hard just before two, so Raquel knew she had some life left in her! Raquel rolled and got up rushing back at Amber trying to pounce before Amber was able to set herself up. Unfortunately for Raquel she ran right into a big boot to the chest! Her body flew back and she crashed down onto her back! Raquel let out a low groan and kicked the mat in pain as her arms cradled her chest, the small woman leveled by the boot to the chest as she played right in to Ambers trap.

Amber was still fresh and alive in the match, it would have been terribly disappointing otherwise. The Inventor’s big boot impacted directly against Raquel’s chest and that made her crash on her back against the mat. That was quite far from being a match ending move or a high impact one, but at that time it served as a powerful statement as it was the first of Amber’s moves that connected: it meant a lot since it showed Raquel that Amber was a force to be reckoned and that she wouldn’t let her energetic rival to have everything go her way.

Not wanting to let Raquel recover easily now that the tables were on their way to be turned, Amber ran towards the downed woman to jump in the last second in a legdrop against her chest so she would keep softening the woman, getting some damage done that would make her remain still on the mat, maybe opening some more window of opportunity.

Raquel was down and she was now very much inclined to stay there! "Uggggghhhhh!" Raquel groaned as the leg drop came crashing down across her chest leaving her aching and laid out. She was still flat on her back and wheezing after the leg drop did its damage. Raquel was not going to be quickly getting back up to her feet after that, of this she was sure. Amber had seized control of the match and Raquel was now along for the ride until she was able to recover!

Amber’s strategy was playing out really well as the Inventor hit Raquel with a dropkick that helped in softening the eager and energetic woman to keep her in place. Now her rival would think twice before moving as her body should be in some pain at the moment, giving Amber some precious seconds to keep going with her moves. But she didn’t really need much time to think since she was adamant about what would her next action be.

“Time to take some flight!” Using that window of opportunity that poor Raquel posed while she was lying in pain Amber ran towards the ropes and used them as a spring to gain momentum and take off, changing course in the air to splash land on top of Raquel’s body in a powerful lionsault! Just after managing to get the hit Amber would drape her body on top of Raquel’s to make a pin that felt like a statement. The crowd reacted in excitement as it noticed how things were back and forth between them with each one of the contestants giving their all in order to get that victory.

Raquel heard Amber moving and while she wanted to move she just couldn't!  To make matters worse Amber was winning the crowd over as she soared through the sky, crashing down painfully on Raquel with the lionsault!  "AARRRGGGGHHHHH!"  Raquel screamed as Amber landed down hard on top of her leaving her groaning in agony as she writhed on the mat after the painful impact!  Raquel went from soaring to struggling as Amber was really taking it to the rookie!

"TWO!"

Right at the two count Raquel bridged her back, forcing her way up and out of the pin! She made Amber roll off of her before collapsing back to the mat, gasping for breath as she was already hurting.

Amber could be considered a lightweight in the league, being among the smaller women in the regular division and almost making it to the kawaii leagues, so her flying moves weren’t as hard on her rivals as the ones from a bigger, heavier woman, but Raquel was actually smaller and lighter than Amber and that gave the Inventor the size advantage. That left her rival protesting in pain and withering on the mat, an easy target for her pinning maneuver.

But ti was too early in the match to call it a wrap, after all. Just when the count reached two Raquel bucked her back with a strong motion that got rid of Amber easily. It wasn’t going to be that easy, and honestly, that would have disappointed the Inventor who was there for a challenge. Rolling over Amber got again on her feet to notice how Raquel was still lying there having a hard time. Taking that chance the Inventor would drag her rival back on her feet. “Come on, Raquel! Off you go!” cheered Amber just before irish whipping her rival towards a corner, making herself some run to gain momentum and hit her rival with a hip attack just after she would impact against the turnbuckle.

Raquel groaned as she was pulled up and sent crashing into the corner. The small wrestler was hurting, obviously in a lot of pain at this point. Her confidence was hurting too as she was realizing following up her debut win with a second was looking unlikely as if she were the underdog. In a way she was against Amber.

However she was also desperate. As Amber ran in Raquel used her speed to roll out of the corner allowing Amber to crash into the turnbuckle instead of Raquel!

The match had started with some back and forth exchange, but at that moment Amber was feeling pumped and in the zone. The Inventor could feel her blood pumping through her veins as the challenge presented to her made her feel alive. She was also feeling good about her prospects as she whipped Raquel towards the corner and then ran towards her so she could hit her rival with a hip attack.

But Raquel was far from done. The woman was also eager to show herself shining bright, and that promised a clash of willpowers that would decide the match. Clinging to that willpower of hers, Raquel managed to ignore the pain she felt and roll out of Amber’s way just in time for the Inventor to not have enough time to stop. “Aaaaugh! Ow ow owww!!" With all her momentum turned against her Amber hit the turnbuckle with her hips first, wailing in sudden pain and only maintaining her footing by grabbing the ropes. Caressing her pained hips, she clenched her teeth and her eyes as she was suddenly struggling, her own move causing her so much damage and leaving her quite open.
