Just a regular girl looking for wrestling guidance (For Deus001)

She might be a tease and a show off, but deep down, Kotone was very insecure, as this whole day kept reminding everyone around her. Specially John. So one couldn't help but wonder the frenetic whirlstrom of thoughts and emotions that were happening in her head after she kissed the artist in the lips. For starters, she was already probably kicking herself over it. Not that she regretted doing it, but actually having done it so... suddenly hit her like a bucket of ice-cold water. And if her shocked expression was to be believed, she was still out of it, reliving that moment as if she didn't believed it just happened.

Looking at John's befuddled expression didn't helped her calm down. For the first time in the entirety of their sparring session, she wasn't able to read his expression. Did he liked it? Did he disliked it? Was he just surprised? Maybe once he regains his senses he will be outraged? Will he say something any time soon? The fear of heights that she experienced back at the top of the ropes was nothing compared to the anxiety that she was suffering right now. Now she was stuck with the few seconds of silence that seemed like whole minutes to her as she awaited for his reaction.

Said reaction was a slight giggle followed by his response to her gratitude. She laughed as well, although way less naturally as she was handled in the air by John, ending with her sitting alongside the artist who remained hugging her. That was a good sign--- Right? "A... request?" She heard with curiosity to her trainer's petition, still pretty stressed out about it,, she wanted to understand the former champion, but this interaction was too much for her, both mentally and emotionally.

Once said request was presented, and after John asked Kotone for her permission to be sketched. Yes, that was literally what he said to her. And how did she respond? It started with her pupils dilating as if she was about to tear up, followed with her cheeks puffing like balloons, and finally, she laughed. It might have looked mean at the start, like she was mocking him. But that wasn't the case, she was mostly laughing at herself, after all, she was pretty stressed out just a second ago over the male brunette's reaction to her small show of affection, actually hoping that it would be a serious one. And instead, he just asked to draw her to commemorate the day. It was so adorable and... well... so much more precious than what she anticipated, the scribe managed to impress her once again and she couldn't help but to chuckle.

"Oh John, you silly cinnamon, of course that you can draw me!" Kotone finally responded to him, whipping out a small tear, product of her laughter. A metaphorical light bulb got lit in her head, and she decided to make the obligatory joke; She lied on the mat, spreaded with one hand on her waist while she looked at John with her attempt at a provoking face. "Oh, John, paint me like one of your french girls!" She actually had to put an effort into not laughing all over again at her own hammy words. still remaining in "french girl" position.

John wouldn't lie, he loved beauty. He wanted to capture it wherever he could as best he could, it could be a nice landscape or a cute gal. Case in point for the latter, sometimes in Tension John would be able to ask this of a girl and request them to model for him. And in return for their blessing of him John would perform his utmost to create art for them in gratitude, John felt like he was one lucky sort right now. He had hoped that they could have done this at some point, likely later if John had made a good impression.

But when Kotone had been so.....bold there John knew right then and there he had to ask this of her, so that should he face a dark day he could remember it (or hopefully have the idol be in his presence to enlighten the room around him) John's heart beat rapidly here, he had faced all sorts of things. Even fell off ladders in title matches, but damn he'd been more nervous here than anything else.

Koto's red face was bright indeed, John at first wondered if perhaps he might have overstepped his boundary there. Then again the idol had indulged him with a little cappella performance for him earlier, she started laughing as if to possibly suggest he'd been silly to ask. The artist blushed a bit more himself here but the instant Kotone called him a cinnamon he blushed profusely there and realised that his worry was for naught for the idol would gladly accept his request, even posing in a very enticing manner referencing the classic artist meme as she did so.

John breathed a sigh of great relief, it did little to hide his flustered expression. For all his wrestling experience and maturity he could still be a silly lad at the end of the day, the artist would nod eagerly and say "T-Thank you Kotone, I'll just be one minute. Let me get my sketch book real quick!" John would quickly slide out of the ring and head to the locker room and be out with a big massive A1 sized book and a bunch of high quality pencils of different colours.

Sliding into the ring John would sit Indian style and get cracking already, even from her position the idol would see that the artist could quickly get moving. His hands a blur as he got to work, John would glance up and down at Kotone as he got to work and said "Feel free to shuffle around a bit, make sure your not falling asleep in the pose. Lemmie know if you need anything too~" hot damn John was like a machine here with the speed he was going at. Before long however the artist would finally set down his lead pencil and say "There we go, that's the base finished. Here hang on."

The lad would grab his stuff and shuffle over to Kotone on her side and let her have a peek of what he was doodling up now, John certainly lived up to his name here. He had only sketched the base of the idol but already had the eyes, hair, skirt ruffles etc all nicely done. It was just time to add the colours in, John would lean in close to her ear and mutter "Would the lady care to add the first bit in?"

Looking at John so beaming after getting her approval made Kotone feel some butterflies in her stomach; his expression didn't changed so much, but she noticed the gleam in his eyes as he hurried up to the locker room. She looked perplex at how quickly he went and returned with some drawing tools. Quite the spectacle to see someone as chill as the scribe hauling ass.but soon enough he was sitting close to her, telling her to move a bit just to not sit completely idle. "Oh? Is this good?" She asked meekly, shuffling a little to get more comfortable, at first it was adorably awkward. But now her friend and trainer looked so... focused, and yet he also appeared to be calm. Perhaps this was what other called "being in the zone"?

She stared pretty focused, and even if he did warned about her falling asleep, but she didn't moved so much, she was fine with just looking at John going at it in his sketchbook. This had to be the most attentive she had payed to him this whole day, despite that the fact that he had spent all afternoon teaching her wrestling gigs. But she really couldn't help being so fixated with the former champion right now, the passion that he inspired drawing with so much care and attention was just mesmerizing for the young idol.

Sooner than later, John told her to take a look at his progress in the portrait, she was staring so intensely at him that when he spoke to her, she snapped back to reality, wide eyed and red-faced trying to make it seem like she heard what he just asked instead of getting lost in her own head. "What?" When the artist got close to her, she observed the "sketch" of her own drawing, It was very pretty, and if she had payed attention to the world around her while it happened, she would have been impressed by how fast he took doing it. The drawing was most prominently about her, representing Koto-chan as an idealized idol, and yes, it was flattering enough to make her blush even more. Still, she even had to wonder if she was worthy of being the muse of such talent.

"I like it..." She said with a sort of melancholy behind her words, as if she were looking at an old photo of herself rather than a work of art. When John offered her the opportunity to begin adding the coloring, she looked at him with a nervous smile. "Ehhmm... Okay!" She tried to look at her portrait with anxiety, grabbing the pencil that was the same tone of her blue hair, and then she started to bring it close to the page to begin painting it, she did it very slowly, not really daring to touch such work with her very limited knowledge of artistic sketching. "Oh boy... this is nerve-wracking" She confessed, still fearful of staining John's work, it looked that she needed some help there.

John was the sort that took things with confidence, sure he had many a piece of work that might have.......fallen through during his time at college. But he didn't get himself down, instead he'd pick himself up and learn from it. The lad often had no clue that he was displaying such passion with his creations, so naturally attuned was he to it that he was unaware that Kotone seemed to be in a sort of quiet awe of him as he got to work as naturally as it was breathing to him. But John was a pro at it and so he made it look natural~ He had given her a quiet little hum of affirmation as she shuffled a bit to be more comfortable, John was thinking Kotone might have done some modelling in her career with her cute style, but sketching was a whole different field. Regardless the idol was doing great!

Had John seen her entranced expression fully he'd have probably gotten a bit flustered there, not realising how cool as a cucumber he'd seem right now. The lad was more focused on making a great piece that the idol could enjoy and take away as a sort of memento of today, hard to think it had been a simple sort of sparring session between a girl hoping to break into wrestling and a former champ. Now here John was sketching a cute idol girl and it just......felt right. They were both creative and had a hidden cheeky side to them, plus the lad had to admit Kotone was real cute on the eyes there too. He wanted to let the idol have a little touch at it too, so that she could have her contribution from more than just sitting there. John had a bit of a grin as he handed his A1 sized sketch pad to Kotone there, let the model see the work~

The artist raised an eyebrow at Kotone's somewhat melancholic response to it, regardless she spoke of enjoying it. However she livened up more when John offered to let Kotone start doing some colour work, get that fabulous blue mane of hers ocean'ed up a bit there. The scribe expected the idol to simply give it a go, yet he'd find that she was hesitant. It didn't take John long to sense the anxiety of Kotone, it was time for him to step in and reassure Kotone that it was more than okay.

"Here." John said as he'd shuffle up around the idol and sit behind her, gently resting his head close to her ocean blue locks and put his legs into a v shape and say "Let's rest the sketchpad on our legs here, I'll give you a hand~" the artist would gingerly slip his hand into hers, to help her guide the colours. His other hand would wrap around her waist to help keep Kotone grounded there in reassurance. "Now just......breathe....." he'd mutter softly, trying to hold himself in given how well......soft and sweet the idol was. But he'd calmly nudge her forward, keeping Kotone on track and say "We'll go one step at a time for it......" John wasn't one to be so well.....forward. But the idol needed it here and dang if he wasn't wanting to make sure she was happy here~

Of all the things Kotone expected today, helping to paint a portrait of herself was definitely not it, specially having to do it with a shaky hand like she is doing right now, as nervous as if she were to be doing brain surgery on someone. But she couldn't help it, this drawing represented (for her at least) the idolized vision of someone who managed to look at her as inspiring, and ruining that by making a mess of said piece of work made her skin crawl.

Fortunately for her, John was quick to catch up on her predicament, he sat behind her, gently guiding the sketchbook down on her legs, and making her blush upon having him so close to her. "R-right..." She still wasn't completely secure about this, even with the artist guiding her hand like a sort of muse. If her mind wasn't as much of a mess as it was right then, she would have made a comparison to that scene from Ghost. At least she had his hand to help her lead the way they coloured the sketch.

Soon enough, the couple began to work the entirety of the surface, Kotone's hand was the one that held the pencils each time, and yet, she felt that John was the one doing most of the work, despite the fact that she wasn't half as bad as she believed. The bluenette brushed the graphite head against the sketch with extreme caution, and even if her trainer was instructing her masterfully, she still needed to give herself more credit.

Eventually, the work of art was about to come to completion, each second, Kotone couldn't help to be hypnotized by the nature of the drawing, as if she looked at a mirror that showed a strange visage. She was quite skilled in a great variety of musical instruments and artistic appreciation, but her imaginative view wasn't as trained unfortunately. Later, looking at the drawing that commemorated that day, she would think of it as a picture of her soul through the eyes of the scribe. "This is a lot more tiresome than what I expected..." She told him, her wrists beginning to feel sore, but a smile in her face proved that the painting session wasn't nearly as terrifying as when they started.

"It's... a beautiful drawing. Could you perhaps finish it yourself? I want to see it once it's done!" The bluenette requested this of her trainer while she gave him back his sketchpad, even if it was a strange thing to ask, specially after she pretty much helped finish the portrait. But for her, a big part of the experience was to build the expectation that something will be beautiful, and then feel the impact of finding out that instead it's breathtaking. And it wasn't just her ego speaking because of it being a portrait of herself either. But what she sought was the need to see John's perspective, his vision, his opinion of her. That's what made it so special for the aspiring idol, and why she wanted to feel surprised when she finally got to see the drawing complete.

Frankly to be honest, John needed something like this. Something wholesome, he had been holding a burden in himself for far too long. It started to eat away at him, just a little. Still British upper lip and all that, but even he had his limits. John could swear he screamed internally at some point during it all with his fellows, at first he found being bad pretty curious. But now he simply went on with it to make amends for letting his boss down, perhaps he could take Kotone's advice and speak to Ryan at a important moment. For now he'd just take this moment with the cute idol girl that showed him a better path, that was what he needed he felt.

Still John could sense Koto-chan's hesitance, he'd press on though. Taking the reins more than not, John however was quite chuffed by how united they were in doing so actually. It seemed that their natural case of meshing well with one another was paying off, his arm around her waist was just laying there. Simply being there to enjoy this moment, John remained steadfastly focused on this piece of work. But made sure to let the idol have a go too, even if she sold herself short. The lady was more skilled than she gave herself credit for actually, this whole thing actually felt just.....natural actually. Like when Kotone fell atop John from her flight and they just lay there briefly, it felt right in a sense. Not the sort of odd fluster that came with a lass teasing a lad like many a time he'd seen, the sort that came with a sort of well.....natural feel was the best way John could sum it up.

Kotone commented on her sore arms, which prompted John to relent on his movements the instant he heard it. He'd lower his hand down at this, the artist and coach knowing that feeling all too well from personal experience. With the idol requesting that the lad finish it in his own time, John smiled softly at it and said "No problem, you did great by the way. Just with.....everything, thank you for giving me the chance today." a quick glance at the clock nearby made John pause. He then sighed and said "I'm sorry Kotone but I need to call it a day here, its getting late. Don't worry I'd love to do this again though I had a lot of fun! And errrr........I'd errr love to do something outside the ring too!" with a slight bit of hesitance the artist would shuffle out from behind Kotone and stand up towards the ropes, being ever the polite lad he'd open the ropes for the idol if she so desired before slipping out himself with the drawing and equipment.

His cheeks tinted a bit red as he thought to himself that this had been well......probably the greatest little gym session he'd had in ages. Plus John learned a thing or two here himself thanks to the idol, the lad honestly would be keen to do more down the line! "So uh yeah, see you soon? Buzz me anytime." he said with a happy smile from the day's events.......

After today, Kotone had earned quite a lot of important things. Some basic practice, that she still needed a lot of, a shot of self-esteem that she surely appreciated, and most importantly for her. A new ally! John had been such a nice surprise for her session, that time flew by without her realizing it until he brought it up. She smiled eagerly at his praise to her performance in their little session, but her cute smile turned into an unbelieving open mouth as he bid her farewell, opening up the ropes for her to get out. "What? Late? But it's only..." Once she actually looked at the clock in the wall, she realized that they've been going at it for quite some time. "Oooooh... crap it is late..."

She slid through the ropes in order to not leave John hanging, and then heard him talk about doing something outside of that place. "REALLY?! I mean (ahem) Really?" After practically jumping out of excitement after his small offer to go outside sometime, she calmed down to give him a less desperate response. It was worth noticing how fast she was to change between awkward girl, to fighting idol, and in between, almost as if she was used to changing personas as with changing socks.

At least she was able to be honest about something; the idea of spending more time with the scribe was very appealing to her. "Oh, don't worry about it, I'mma buzz you alright, no takesies though, now you're stuck with me" She told him with a smug face, finger-gunning at his direction. She would then proceed to grab her duffle bag where she had her street clothes, and get ready to go for the changing rooms. Not without giving her instructor... no, her friend and role model, a big kiss in the cheek. "See you around John. Don't you forget about me anytime soon. Okay?" She winked at him, before going to the changing rooms. If this was the start of her wrestling career, then she was ready for this journey!
