The Rebirth of FnF: Nomu vs Shiroi Taigākurō

The bones in its body continued to shift and crack in not only its neck, but the ribcage and shoulders. The small vibrations that came with every slight adjustment brought an alien warmth the Nomu itself was incapable of discerning as “comforting”. All the weapon’s brain could decipher was that with the feeling came movement. The muscles in its body shifted about and pressed its skeletal structure back into place, the warmth rolling down its back and flooding it’s right arm and easily dripping down its massive back. As the heat filled its body, the Nomu could move its arm once again! It’s fingers obeyed the brain’s simple order of pulling its body closer towards the two beings in front of it. With the right arms working, the heat was belched out of the creatures maw! Steam rolling past its head as it dragged itself across the dirt. Its legs felt as though a massive weight was pushing down on them, keeping them from moving as it desired. But the warmth was alleviating that weight, with its thighs finally moving with its arm, pushing it off the ground as it attempted to stand.

The white marked being was still there. Nomu knew it had to be gone. It didn’t think about the “why” or the “how”. It was still there, still moving, and the urge to stop it was all that was pushing the beast forward! The second being had disappeared and was already forgotten as though it had never been there in the first place. Steam continued to pour out of its mouth, tickling its vocals as it was forced upwards by its newly repaired body and muscles! The guttural squawk was like the dead hum of a corpse, but twisted. Like its insides were completely empty. A dull shell or husk housing only a brain and a desire. The more the white spot moved, the more the Nomu seemed to react! The white spot had begun to stand, prompting the warmth in the beast's body to get even hotter! To travel even faster! It was already towards it’s ankles, but the beast still was impatient! It stamped the earth, embedding its feet into the dirt and pushing itself up on pure strength!

Finally, the beast's body was almost completely under its control again! But even the few seconds it would take to repair its legs completely was too long! The White Being had gotten on its two legs, just in time for the creature’s hands to come swinging around! Two tough, concrete-like claws coming on each side to grab a hold of the Fluffy being and destroy it! What air resistance there was was burned up by the pure strength that was housed in those massive muscular arms! It’s gaze locked on its target as it’s maw split apart in a soundless roar!

But its fingers didn’t touch the Fluffy creature! Only the air and dust left by its speedy escape was torn apart by Nomu's fingers. The sheer force of the beast's whiff caused a massive force to blow the steam and dust around it away! A squawk that might have been more steam being pushed through its vocals came from the beast as its target completely disappeared from its view. It’s dead eyes stared at the empty space as it’s maw slowly began to close…

Before it spun itself around, it’s eyes glaring down at the small being that was only inches away from its massive form as its fist came swinging around like a train! She was too close! In this next instant, the White fluff would be gone forever!

The audience’s questions about the small Shiroi’s safety were quickly escalating in both spirit and urgency as the giant monster seemed to be finding its footing quickly! It’s feet stomped into the ground, causing two more decent sized holes as Shiroi painfully gripped her leg and forced herself off the floor. Despite this only being the first match of the revitalized Fur and Feathers, the audience was clearly rooting for the White Tiger. The Nomu had already destroyed so much, but it was shaping up to add a new victim to its already impressively long list. Seeing its massive form tower over Shiroi might have been exciting, but some in the audience were expressing concerns. The Martial artist was practically cornered and clearly injured! The murmurs of stopping the fight had begun to float around, with some looking up to see an entertained smile on the announcers face. Eros’s golden eyes seemed glued to the two of the fighters, as if she was waiting for something!

As Nomu pulled back its arms, there were a few shouts of concern! But they fell on deaf ears as the Nomu lunged at the seemingly wounded White Tiger! But as fast as The Nomu was, Shiroi appeared to be even faster! There was a bit of steam and dust hiding the two, but it was plain to see that Shiroi had slipped behind the living weapon. The audience members gasped in shock as a scarlet stream seemed to be rolling down her eye! The color shockingly stood out compared to the all white target, and there were a few who thought that Shiroi was not lucky enough to escape the Nomu unscathed! Shiroi had only been standing behind Nomu for a split second, but already the monster was spinning around! Its fist looked like it had more than enough power behind it to crush the small bleeding girl, and yet its handler in the announcers chair did nothing! Screams rang out in the audience as it seemed an execution was taking place right in front of them as the Nomu’s fist came crashing down!

“Oh dear oh dear~ It seems the Living Weapon is starting to catch on to Shiroi’s amazing speed! That explosive punch would certainly do some damage…Had it actually hit~”

True to her word, the dust quickly blew away, revealing Nomu's fist just inches off its mark and buried in the ground next to Shiroi’s foot! The anti-symbol of peace was staring Shiroi in the face, each one mere inches away from the other, to the point where she could feel the extreme heat of its breath!

“The brainless brain head must still be paralyzed from the ankles down! That quick turn it took plus the momentum of its fist must have knocked the Nomu off balance! Or perhaps Shiroi just has about nine lives worth of luck on her side!”

As if to punctuate Eros’s joke, a sudden, explosive and ripping BOOM erupted in the stadium! The eruption sent shockwaves through the arena, the magical barrier actually rippling with the force of the explosion as the Nomu was shot backwards like it had been fired from a cannon! The sheer force exuded was amazing, but even more than that was the bright white comet that came shooting after it, somehow catching up to the monster that seemed to be going one hundreds miles per hour! Before the Nomu had even gotten close to coming to a stop, the white comet was on its form, a brutish battle of good and evil told visually as the Martial Artist delivered a kick so fast that it was almost impossible to see! The beast's head was blown back, sending its massive body into a backward spiral that looked closer to a tornado than a fall! The only reason the walls survived the beast's impact was because of all the magical and structural reinforcement it had received upon its reconstruction. The way the Nomu was embedded in the wall showed the sheer force behind Shiroi’s strikes! Cracks as large and wide spread as a spider's web ripped across the well, before slowly being resealed by the magical barrier around it.

But to Eros, it was far more telling than that! Those golden eyes narrowed gleefully as she spied Shiroi’s eye. The veins around the White Tiger’s eye seemed to bulge and strain, causing a small stream of blood to roll as though she were weeping. It seemed that when Shiroi’s golden eye was present, the Martial Artist’s reflexes grew incredibly sharp! Her speed was unparalleled as well! The way she combined her Martial Arts and natural abilities with her claws to slice the air apart and create a vacuum was enough to enhance her strikes and effectively create an explosion using the air she had only just torn apart! This was the apex of Shiroi’s strength! No holds barred, with her life on the line!

And the crowd was eating it right up!
