Sabrina Anderson vs. Yvonne Gulski

Sabrina was closing in more and more as she advanced forward. Her eyes were narrowed, patient for once despite every inch of her wanting to rush in. While she was one that could adapt, she much preferred being reckless and using strength to win rather than focusing on tactics. Still, if she wanted to win this time around, then she needed to give this all she had without a piece of nagging left within her mind. She was hoping her opponent would backing away, hopefully pinning herself down and leaving Sabrina to wail away, but much to the blonde's surprise, that wasn't what she got.

Instead, Yvonne's next move had Sabrina grinning from ear to ear, mouthguard bared and in view.

Instead of retreating, Yvonne had actually pushed forward, trying to stop her momentum. The moment Yvonne had struck and pushed in was the moment Sabrina could finally throw everything she had into barreling into her opponent. With not much room to amp up speed, Sabrina broke her guard apart and loaded her right arm back and LUNGED forth like a wild animal. She could the slew of jabs strike into her skin, one of them crunching against her nose briefly, but the look upon Sabrina's face was giddy with a grin as bright as day.

Right before she attempted to slam a heavy right-uppercut hook aimed for the center of Yvonne's abs, all while trying to barrel in, hopefully shoving her opponent and herself straight to the ropes. If she was successful, of course.

”нет!”

Sergei hissed a curse under his breath as Yvonne rushed forward, moving right into the danger zone. He understand her thinking, the strategy of the move - Sabrina was trying to push her into a corner and having great success, so the natural move to counter would be to force her way out. It wouldn’t even take all that much, really. A few key jabs in the right place, the proper footwork, and she would be free.

In theory.

In practice, however, things were more complicated. The key problem being that Sabrina was a living tank.

She took the blow square on her nose. A good blow. A solid blow. There was nothing wrong with it, but it was not enough to stop her forward push, and the woman kept on coming, dipping low, striking out. Yvonne attempted to block it, tried to get her arm down in time to smother the attack, but it wasn’t enough - it connected clean.

The noise Yvonne made when it cut into her body was inhuman, like something from a wounded animal, as all the air flew from her body. Eyes wide, gasping, she was easy prey for Sabrina and could do nothing to stop her push, and she found her back against the ropes in short order. It was all she could do to wrap her arms around her foe’s body, clenching her tight in the hopes of making her ineffective. A dealing tactic, at best.

"What makes Sabrina so dangerous isn't the fact that she's got grit and a resilience that puts even fucking tanks to shame." Roman commented quietly, a mysterious man with a past better left shrouded behind the days of old. Arms crossed over one another, he watched as the woman came barreling into her opponent like a train.

"It's that once she's latched or locked in close quarters, you might as well hope you can give just as much as you can take. Because once that Rabid Hound sinks her teeth into you, she doesn't let go," he mused silently.

Sabrina felt leather connect with flesh for a satisfying sound ringing out like a gong in the middle of an empty temple. In this case, Sabrina had struck a wrecking ball of a blow into a fighter whose body had never been conditioned for taking punishment. The result itself, even though she could only take a glance upward, was satisfying as she twisted and ground her leather-clad fist deep into her opponent's stomach just to further add more pressure to the pain. Sabrina had finally nailed a blow on her opponent, but she would have expected something to deter her again.

Much to her excitement, Yvonne unintentionally made things worse for herself the moment she wrapped those toned and slender limbs of hers around her. Bare breasts pressed and brushed against Yvonne's solar plexus briefly before the black-streaked blonde wrapped an arm around her opponent's place, trying to lock her down and keep her up against the ropes with their bodies so close to one another.

Yvonne had her limbs wrapped around Sabrina, the short woman snarling with a grin on her face as she felt red drip down her right nostril. She couldn't give a shit for that. Sure, it stung, but she had taken far worse in her career. Nevertheless, her right arm ripped away from below, Sabrina pressed her head close to Yvonne's chest before attempting to unleash a slew of right-handed hooks into her opponent's frame. She struck her ribs, her stomach, her sides, and whatever else she could get her gloves on. She needed to tenderize her a bit before trying to repay her for abusing her so much earlier in round one!

The grin upon Sabrina's face, the excitement in her eyes...

She truly was like some mad hound let loose off her chain.

Once again, in theory, Yvonne’s strategy was sound.

With Sabrina in range, pulling her in close for the clench made sense. At that range, punches would be weakened, denying her opponent the ability to truly unload they were pulled apart. Once that was done, she would be able to move away at her leisure and catch her breath, buy more time for recovery while she backpedaled. She was fast enough on her feet to stay out range for a while, so long as she had the space to do so.

With most opponents, it would work. 99% of them. But, unfortunately, Sabrina’s attire wasn’t the only thing unorthodox about the woman.

Yvonne learned this lesson the hard way, as Sabrina ripped into her midsection like the rabid dog she appeared to be, nailing her with a barrage of punishing, hammering blows. Each one cut into her body, stirred the organs underneath. Each one left her breathless, forced so much air out of her that the mouthguard nearly slipped free. Bones were being stressed, threatening to break, and it almost felt as if she were being chopped in half at the waist.

All the while, though, she held on, knowing that it would only be worse if her foe was given room to operate at her best. But this was a tenuous condition at best, a stop gap. She would take longer to fall here, but she would fall, if a great change wasn’t made in short order.

Clenching her teeth, Yvonne took a big step to the side and pulled Sabrina along with her with a quick twist, looking to swing around from the ropes. She pulled Sabrina in tight, then pushed away hard, trying to create distance between them as she took a big step away. An attempt at retreating, there was no hiding it, not when her face was a pained mask and her steps were haphazard and hurried

Sabrina grinned sharply as she practically ripped into her opponent like the Rabid Hound that she was. There was no style or technique now that she was this close. Even though it hampered her abilities slightly, Sabrina had one free arm to work with and she was using it to demolish her opponent. Like a lumberjack taken to a tree, Sabrina kept chopping away at her opponent’s body without a shred of mercy. Right now, right at this very moment, she was showing Yvonne everything there was that made her a dangerous opponent to be in the ring with, even against similar styled opponents. She felt leather connect with flesh, muscle giving way to every blow, fists digging in deeper and deeper as she cleaved at her opponent’s body.

Sooner or later, Yvonne would fall.

The black-streaked blonde was proud about repaying her opponent back, especially with their frames so close to one another. She’d be a liar if she said she wasn’t a little hot and bothered, but she also knew well enough that this wasn’t that kind of match. She had her eyes on the prize and she was nailing to send Yvonne to sleep with her mouthguard flying from her lips by the end of this.

Despite Yvonne shifting and taking a step, Sabrina kept one arm locked around her opponent’s waist. She thought she could try and escape? Not on her watch! While Sabrina was dragged into slightly, Sabrina made sure she kept in clinched well enough so that her opponent couldn’t escape. Of course, she misunderstood how Yvonne planned to escape...

Even despite the quick twist, already stamping on the canvas floor, Sabrina widened her eyes the moment she was pulled in close. Her face pressed up to Yvonne’s body, her breasts mashed against her opponent’s form, she huffed. She huffed just long enough for her opponent to SHOVE her right back with Yvonne taking a step back already. Stumbling and staggering back, Sabrina hit the ropes and bounced off them a bit. Glancing back at Yvonne, she grinned at the sight of her opponent’s expression.

And like a Rabid Hound, Sabrina was already rushing back in with reckless abandon. Gloves pulled in close and kept near her chin, she was already making another beeline for Yvonne. This time, hoping to close in the gap and swing out with a right-handed hook aimed for her opponent’s chin this time around, though she had doubts Yvonne was gonna stick around for it...

Move. Just move. It almost didn’t matter what direction Yvonne moved in, so long as she moved.

She knew better than most the intricacies that went into boxing, all the little details that came together to make a match work. It wasn’t a slugfest, it wasn’t some idiotic videogame with an energy bar and special meter. It came down to positioning and reflexes, knowing your opponent and thinking on the fly. All skills that she had come to master through a lifetime of rigorous training. Abilities that had seen her through many battles.

But not this one. Not now. She was a scalpel versus a hammer, and the hammer was coming after her. She backpedaled, made some distance, but it wasn’t enough, not nearly. She knew that before her opponent even moved towards her, seeing that feral smile flash along her face. What happened next wasn’t a surprise, but knowing what was coming didn’t mean she was going to be able to stop it.

In came Sabrina with bold steps, no longer showing any of the hesitation from the last round. Yvonne shot out a flicker jab, thinking it might slow her foe down. It didn’t. In she came, swinging her arm around for a deadly hook. She brought up her arm in time, tried to block it, but it wasn’t enough.

Sabrina’s blow crushed her guard, slammed into her jaw, and down she went.

Yvonne spun on her long, slim legs, and flopped to the canvas, coming down for a hard crash on her back. Dazed, she found herself staring up at the lights as the referee came between the two combatants to start up the count.

”1!”

Sabrina’s glove broke through a hastily thrown guard and into the jaw of her taller opponent. A single ringing smack of leather striking flesh filled the roaring crowd’s shouts just as the short tank of a woman hammered a crushing blow into her opponent’s face. If this were the Underground, Sabrina wouldn’t have stopped till she had beaten Yvonne’s face into a bloody pulp, as if it would have been some improvisational MMA of sorts. Still, she knew well enough that this wasn’t the type of match or area where she would go throwing herself into things until someone was down and out for the count.

Flicking her gloves out, she cracked her neck and flashed a grin brightly to the crowds about. Thrusting a single arm upward as a declaration of her power, she took in the cheers and walked right on over to her corner where she swung around and laid right back against it. Even as the count continued, Sabrina hissed softly as she brought a glove up and touched her cheek briefly where her opponent’s flickering blow had connected.

It was hastily thrown, clean impact though. She could feel the red already, especially the pang, but that wasn’t enough to force her down. Shrugging her shoulders, she leaned back and assessed the damage so far. She had nailed her opponent’s body well and good, at least one side of it, and the moment they took it back out of the ropes, Sabrina had already rushed in and brought her down with a single crushing blow for her opponent’s jaw. Her opponent wasn’t built to handle blows at all.

And that meant Sabrina had to land as many blows as possible if she wanted to bring Yvonne down. Waiting to see whether her opponent could rise up or stay down was now all the blonde could do. She didn’t shout, taunt, or anything else. Sabrina, for the most part, was just grinning and waiting to see if her opponent had just as much spirit as her.

”2!”

“3!”

“4!”

Get up.

Get up.

Get up, get up, get up!

Yvonne kept sending that signal to her body over and over again, but all she got back at first were denied requests, her muscles ignoring all her requests, refusing to do even the most basic orders. This was the sort of thing the public saw all the time in their movies, the boxer struggling to heroically rise after a brutal knockdow, but they could never know how truly taxing it was, how it could be such a Herculean effort.

”3!”

Three? What happened to one and two? Had she been so out of it that she missed those? Hardly a good sign. Through a supreme force of will, she planted her fist on the mat and pushed her way up. Just a little bit. A little bit more. A little more after that.

”4!”

She was up to her knees. Halfway there, but the next half would be hard. She slid her leg over, placed her foot and against the mat, and-

”5!”

-and nothing happened. She pushed up, but got nowhere with the first attempt, not dedicating nearly enough effort. With a deep breath, she summoned more energy and made another attempt, this time getting actual results. Up, up, up she rose, making her way into a crouch.

”5!”

Her feet were wobbly, shaking, but she was standing, getting higher all the time. With a supreme push, she was able to rise and stand straight, but that wasn’t enough. She needed to strike a fighting pose, show that she was physically capable of continuing.

”6!”

This was far easier said than done. Gritting her teeth, she forced her arms upwards and brought them, twitching all the way. Yvonne closed her eyes and forced focus, concentrated on the effort, and it had the desired result - she took on an orthodox stance, the same she had started the match with.

She was good to go, could continue, but her opinion on that didn’t matter. The referee held sway here, and she took a moment to look Yvonne over, inspecting her eyes, looking for any worrying signs. After a tense couple of seconds, he nodded and stepped away, giving the signal for the fighters to resume. ”Box!”

If there was one thing people could say, it's that people really didn't understand how tough boxing could be. Now, while she didn't know a damn thing about wrestling, she knew they had their struggles as well. However, if there was one thing most of them rarely had, it was the damn striking power a boxer had. Sabrina could say, with utmost confidence, she could outright contend with girls who were supposed to be physically stronger than her and still make it an even fight between the two. For someone like Sabrina, fighting someone like Yvonne required just nailing one good blow to take her down.

And she knew well enough that Yvonne was struggling trying to get up. She could see the very minuscule movements of her muscles, the rise and fall of her rather petite chest, and the way she struggled. She watched as the girl clambered up, trying to push herself up to her feet as the count rose up.

Yet, despite a sight that might disappoint most fighters that their opponent wasn't downed, Sabrina seemed more glad than anything else. In truth, she was happy that her opponent wasn't done for just yet. Honestly, she didn't mind quick matches, but she certainly wasn't going to tolerate something so easy. Her opponent gave her a struggle and while it wasn't the heavy-hitting type, it kept her thinking, adapting, thinking.

Sabrina didn't have any 'motivations' for boxing aside from money and excitement. She didn't live in those boxing movies where someone killed her father or some stupid crap like that. She just went and did what she wanted for the simplest of pleasures and that was all there was to it. Still, she grinned sharply, her heart accelerating as blood pumped through her frame. Muscles grew tense, her body grew hot, and she couldn't stave off the excitement and joy she felt within her body the second Yvonne had gotten right back up, clear and ready to go.

"Glad to see you're a fighter. Good, let's go and make this something fun, eh?" Grinning at her opponent, baring her mouthguard at the woman, Sabrina slammed her gloves together the moment they were cleared to box again. Arms flung off the ropes and brought close to her sides, Sabrina dived in, her boots stamping across the canvas floor as she began to rush Yvonne once more.

The Rabid Hound had tasted blood and she was going to look for more.

Yvonne was up, she was standing, she was stable...ish.

This was hardly the first time she had been knocked down in a match - it happened quite a few times in her early career, and even now, now that she was in her prime and greatly improved, it wasn’t something wholly unknown to her. She wasn’t perfect. She made mistakes and paid for them. But she had always managed to comeback, to survive, had found a way to evade her opponent or put a stop to their momentum.

Sabrina was different. Sabrina was dangerous. Sabrina was coming for her, and she wasn’t sure that she could do anything to stop her.

”Cover up!”

She didn’t need to be told to protect herself as her foe came barreling towards her, though the yell was helpful in its own way, a little shock to get her systems moving. Sabrina was, indeed, closing the distance at a rapid pace, moving with a speed that she hadn’t thought possible for someone with her prodigious muscle. Yvonne threw a quick glance towards the clock, seeing there was still a minute and a half left to go in this round - it might as well have been a full year, as far as she was concerned.

But Sabrina wasn’t wrong - Yvonne was a fighter. She wasn’t backing down, and in the face of a hurricane, she would do the only thing she could do: Hold on and survive. Up came her guard. Tight. Strong. She planted her feet and prepared for whatever was coming her way.
