Akane Saito vs. "Amazon" Alaina Sanders

Match Type:  Standard

Alaina was backstage in a two piece tiger print sports bra and pair of briefs along with her matching boots as well as her matching kneepads.  She wasn't scheduled to wrestle but her habit of showing up and getting geared up did pay off.  The amazon was approached and asked to fill in for a wrestler who was unable to appear in their scheduled match.  Alaina was the replacement.

As her music played Alaina came out to the arena as the fans erupted, not expecting to see her in action!  She high fived fans all the way down the ramp, smiling and striking a few poses to show off her powerful figure.  Alaina climbed up onto the apron and slid underneath the bottom rope standing tall and again striking a pose to flex her muscles.  The amazon stood tall in the middle of the ring waiting for her opponent as she stood with her hands on her hips.

Akane Saito:

Exiting the curtain from gorilla position, the rumble of the crowd slowly died down. She stood awkwardly at the top of the ramp as her music played, receiving quite possibly the most lukewarm response she had ever gotten. With a furrowed brow she made her way down the ramp giving a small wave to the distant call of her name from somewhere in the audience. Tough crowd tonight. The second she reached the ringside steps and saw who was waiting for her, she understood.

"Oh…" slowly she made her way up the steel steps and slipped between the ropes, looking between Alaina and the referee. She passed slightly closer leaning in to speak quietly to the both of them over the ambience of the crowd. "Uh… hello. I think I may have come out for the wrong match. I was suppose to be wrestling someone named Ari tonight…" Her eyes settled back on the Amazon. "I am… pretty sure you are Alaina Sanders…"

Alaina saw the expression on Akane's face when she saw Alaina. Alaina thought it was amusing for a second but inside she felt bad. As Akane approached Alaina tried to ease her worries a bit. She smiled warmly and extended a hand, shaking it and gently grasping Akane's hand in both of hers as she bowed. "Hello Akane, Ari was unable to make it to the arena to compete so I was asked to fill in. May the best woman win and do your best, we will have a good match." Alaina said while maintaining eye contact as well as a gentle smile.

As the bell rang Alaina circled Akane before moving in, reaching out to grab Akane by the arm to whip her towards the ropes! As Akane ran back Alaina tried to lift her up and spin, landing a tilt-a-whirl back breaker to Akane before shoving her to the mat to go for a fast pin to gauge her opponent, hooking a leg while laying across Akane's chest! The referee slid in to place and began the pin count.

"ONE!"

"Ah... alright." Akane flashed Alaina a nervous smile a a small polite bow of her head. When she lifted it back up, she found an extended hand waiting for her to shake. A faint crimson blush played across her cheeks as she reached out with both hands, clasping the other woman's hand within her own to give it a vigorous shake. She seemed far to timid to even look her opponent in the eye, unsurprisingly having heard of just who she was and being left more or less in awe of the veteran. It wasn't everyday someone as new as her got a chance to wrestle a big star like this!

"Y-yeah! Don't worry, I'll give you all I got." She was quick to break away from their handshake, shaking out her arms and legs as she stepped back, trying to loosen up. Her nerves were getting to her, this almost never happened! When the bell sounded, she was slow to react, but thankfully her opponent didn't bum rush her while she was caught unprepared. She was thankful to that, giving Alaina a small nod as they locked eyes. Stepping up, she went to lock up with the bigger woman only to find one of her arms suddenly clamped onto, ripping her away with a powerful Irish whip. She let out a small surprised gasp as she was sent running, but was able to recover as she cross the ring, throwing her back into the ropes.

She came charging forward, taking a few large bounds before throwing herself up, arms and legs wide as she turned herself sideways to come crashing into Alaina with a cross body block! "Oof!" Rather than hitting the woman and flopping to the mat on top of her, she had practically jumped into a brick wall, caught mid air by the veteran. She blinked, not sure exactly how to proceed after this awkward little turn of events. Unlucky for her, the veteran didn't have the same hesitance, opting to whip the smaller girl about before bringing her down across a knee in a devastating backbreaker. She slender form pinged off of the large woman's leg, leaving her hunched forward in the sitting position, wide eyes and immobile before Alaina pulled her back to the mat and settle in on top of her. Her leg came up easily, lifelessly drooping in the veteran's powerful grasp as Akane lay gasping and flabbergasted beneath her, not even able to put forward an attempt to buck free.

"Two!"

Alaina hadn't wrestled an opener in a while and before she knew it she heard a familiar noise albeit far more quickly than usual.

"THREE!"

The bell rang and Alaina stood up, feeling bad for what just happened. She looked around with a smile but knelt next to Akane.

"Hey Akane are you all right? Do you need help up?" Alaina asked, aware that Akane likely hadn't ever wrestled anyone of Alainas calibur before.

Akane deflated at the sound of the bell, her leg dropping flopping to the mat once Alaina had it it go. The small girl wasn't sure what had happened, it was all over so fast. It was nice to hear the explosion of cheers from the crowd, even if she knew they were for Alaina and not her… she could pretend. This was a particularly eye opening experience just how tough competition here was at the top level. It was hard to be too upset, even if this was an embarrassing affair for her.

"I'm… yeah, I'm okay." There was obvious strain in her voice, but despite how easily she had gone down she seemed rather resilient in this moment. She gave the veteran a weak smile and a thumbs up before letting her arm plop back to the mat. It was nice to have the other woman's concern, but she definitely didn't want to be pitied. She was a wrestler after all. Losing was part of the growing process.

"Sorry I couldn't give you… more of a match." With a wince Akane shaky sat herself up, hunching over to stare down between her spread legs. She was feeling a bit nauseous so this helped a bit. She brought up a hand, giving a waving gesture, warding off any attempts to help her rise. Even if she had lost in pathetic fashion, she was going to keep as much of her dignity intact by getting up on her own. And sure enough, she did, climbing to her feet on wobbling legs even if it looked like a stiff breeze could knock her back down. To her surprise, this got a rather positive reaction from the crowd as they cheered her on and clapped even in defeat.

Alaina backed off and let Akane stand on her own. She had been there during her lackluster rookie year when she was a big powerful punching bag for other women. Alaina smiled and clapped along with the crowd as Akane rose under her own power.

Alaina sat on the middle rope, pushing up on the top rope to at least make that part of Akane's trip easier. Alaina gavebher a silent nod and smile as she allowed Akane to make the rest of her walk on her own.

She couldn't recall ever getting so much praise after having lost before… ugh she felt proud all the same. Taking in a deep breath, she took a moment to comb a hand through her hair to fix it. Standing reasonably tall, she showed her appreciation for the crowd with a smile and a nod, doing the same for Alaina. She followed the veteran to the ropes, waiting for the other woman to leave before following but finding the Amazon had stopped to hold the ropes for her. She blushed faintly, bowing her head in silent thanks before slowly climbing out of the ring, dropping lightly down to the ringside area below.

The pink haired girl waited for the veteran to hop down as well so they could walk to the back together if the other woman wanted. Part way up the ramp she spoke up softly, too quiet for the crowd to hear. "Think you could give me some pointers for some bigger moves you do?" She would continue towards the curtain, taking a few steps last to hold it open for Alaina before the two continued to the back to possibly chat about some power moves and tactics.

Alaina looked over at Akane and smiled. "I would be happy to show you whatever you like. I am at the Friction gym all the time. We can set up a gym day together if you like?" Alaina asked as she walked through the opening disappearing backstage with Akane, more than happy to help her put any way she could.
