Thunder and Hurricanes: Makie Akamatsu vs Blue Thunder Mask

Makie's spine felt like it was going to snap in two any moment now, her abdominal muscles feeling like they were going to split and tear after the way BTM was stretching her. She was mere seconds away from tapping when she managed to get a handhold of the back of BTM's head...and with that handhold, managed to bring her knee up, sharply, into her opponent's forehead.

As if by magic, BTM finally let her go, letting her crumple to the mat. She was breathing hard now, clutching her hurting back as she curled onto her side, her skin shining with sweat and her red leotard clinging to her as she tried to recover. Around them, the audience went wild at Makie's escape, and began to chanting and stomping rhythmically. Both fighters were down, and it was turning into a race to see who would get back up first.

Groaning, Makie rolled onto her hands and knees, and slowly, gingerly, tried to push herself up, needing to get back into this fight if she was to stand a chance against BTM...

Blue Thunder Mask took a moment to open and close his mouth as he lay on the mat, making sure his jaw was working properly after being rocked by a stunner. The motion caused discomfort in the slightly numb soreness, but it seemed to be fine otherwise. Did he still have all his teeth? He rolled his tongue over them to check. All accounted for. Great. With a grunt, he shifted his weight to the side to roll over seemingly having recovered faster than expected. When he started to push himself up though, the speed at which he was moving sent a wave of lightheadedness to him making him pause on his hands and knees. The masked wrestler hung his head, giving it a small shake to try and work out the cobwebs. Now wasn't the time to fall apart. Through strands of his blue hair, he spied Makie doing just as bad as him. That was good. That meant he didn't have a reason to actually stay on his feet to fight. His head would thank him later for not having to worry about that.

Leaning back onto his feet, he moved towards her in a low crouch, keeping his balance with a wobble over the short distance while she rose up. Skirting around her side he suddenly lunged to grapple her from behind, practically jumping on her back as he threw an arm around her neck and pulled her upright into a sleeper hold. Rather than contest it on their feet, the masked wrestler would lay his weight down on top of her, attempting to use that along with his natural muscle to drag Makie back down to the mat where he could cinch in the hold properly to grind her down again with a flex of his arms.

Makie's abdominal muscles burned with pain as she tried to roll onto her side, her every movement causing agony to shoot through her. Damn it, but BTM was good. Too good: his submissions holds hurt like hell, and little by little he had been wearing her down, weakening her body to the point where her ability to fight back had been reduced. But she was still going to fight back, damn it, no matter how badly it hurt. Grimacing, she rolled over and began to try to push herself upright, not sure how long that stunner would keep BTM off of her.

As it turned out, the answer was "not very long at all," as suddenly she felt BTM grabbing her from behind. She could only give a muffled cry before his arm clamped around her throat trapping her in a wall of solid muscle as he locked in a sleeper hold. For a few initial minutes, she gasped, pawing at that encircling arm as her boots kicked at the mat, feeling her air being constricted. Slowly, one eye began to close as she felt herself fading....

No. She was not going to go out like this. Clenching her teeth, she tried to twist over onto her knees, trying to push upright, before shooting an elbow once, twice, three times into BTM's midsection, hoping to "convince" him to let her go....

When an arm wrapped around Makie's throat it lacked the technique Blue Thunder Master was known for. It was sheer brute force as he bore down on her, giving in to the need to overpower instead of out wrestle. Once he had captured her, however, the transition back to his skillful touch returned in the slow and steady creep of how constricting the hold was. He had eased the two of them back and burdened himself with supporting his opponent as she started to fade. There was no needless cranks of the hold or malicious thrashing, just the march towards the end of their match when she tapped or passed out. His bicep flexed tightly around her neck with no place left to go, his grip on the hold was vice-like and unshakable. The referee hovered nearby as Makie seemed to drift off, waiting for a moment to check if she had been knocked out or not.

The official knew she wasn't before Blue Thunder Mask did, jumping back in surprise when the young woman's eyes snapped open. The masked hero quirked a brow at the reaction but was not so subtly clued into the reason it came to be as Makie made her move. A solid elbow to his stomach caused him to lurch with wheeze, caught unprepared to take the hit. The next two shook him even more, emptying his lungs of whatever air he had left. His grip had weakened, loosening the sleeper hold. While he hadn't given it up, there was no doubt Makie could forcibly pull herself free from it now.

Once, twice, three times Makie's elbow slammed back into BTM's midsection, each blow causing him to gasp with expelled air...a feeling that Makie could sympathize with, given how hard her own breathing was right now. A final elbow did the trick, however, loosening BTM's grip enough for her to grab his wrist and pop her head free, moisture spraying from her short brown hair as she took in several lungfuls of air. That had been too damned close.

Her chest was still rising and falling as she sucked in air as she shakily pushed herself to her feet, still holding BTM's wrist in her grip. With a frustrated, defiant yell, she tried swing BTM towards the ropes, hoping that he was still too dazed to fight back effectively and would just let momentum take him into the ropes.

The moment he came bouncing back, though, Makie would be running up to meet him, aiming to leap upwards and scissor her thighs around his head, gaining a perched sitting position on his shoulders. If all went according to plan, she would fall forwards, towards his back, hoping to unbalance BTM and using her body to flip him backwards, head over heels, and bring him down head first into the mat with a modified hurricanrana!
