Clipping The Wings of A Raven

Anja was asking about her mask, her old mask she used to wear back when she fought in that underground pit. She had honestly forgotten where it had come from but it wasn’t her family that gave it to her. Camilia scratched her brain, nothing came to mind but she supposed she could see where they got that idea. ”No, I didn’t inherit it. Some familia’s do pass down from generation to generation but my familia isn’t like that.” She explains. ”As far as I know, at least. You earn it though, you don’t just get it handed to you.” Camilia adds.

The one thing she didn’t remember was the excruciating training she endured to earn that mask. A keepsake from the person who worked her to the bone, but why couldn’t she put a face to the memory? It was hard to imagine she just up and forgot, maybe it would come to her later.

With their question now spun back on them, the Raven seemed to be in the same boat but she said it was a tribute but to who? ”Which great are you talking about? You’re not exactly being specific. For all I know there could be a ton of them.” She states. Now that she thought about it, she could think of a couple people but maybe they weren’t it. The Latina noticed Anja spotting something familiar. Was this the place?

"The Macho Man. Not exactly a luchador, but certainly a flashy character and most certainly one of the greats."
Anja had quite taken a liking of the luchador culture somewhen on her travels and always took the time to speak with a luchadora to learn where she was from and how her gimmick was part of her identity. Or not if it was just a marketing tool, but she most of the time had the impression that the last possibility was a minority.

That it had been hard for Camilia to become a luchadora was therefore not much of a question for the Blonde. No pain no gain wasn´t foreign for herself either.

"Uhm, oh yes, there it is!"
It was just a plain sign, black and white, just stamped metal. In the inside there were on first glance some white tables and some light purple cushioned banks, a bar with some stools and some rather silent easy listening music in the background.

Macho man? Who was that? The Latina refrained from asking, she didn’t want to look stupid now but given they weren’t a Luchador, it seemed fitting she wouldn’t know. She supposed they had enough character to influence the Raven to a degree. Much like he brothers and herself from a young age, play wrestling in their living room, their mamá getting mad over ruining the furniture more than once. In a sudden flash she couldn’t help but think of her older brothers, wondering what they were up to nowadays that they hardly spoke to their baby sister.

Camilia couldn’t ever really tell anyone how tough it was back them, now, it just felt like a dream that she was whisked through and she was just here, all of a sudden. The Bull didn’t seem or even want to question it, nor did she really want to recall it all. The crying, the sweat, and then the blood, memories she sometimes blissfully ignored.

Hearing Anja suddenly verbally point out their destination, red pools rose to make eye contact with the stamped sign. It was...simplistic to say the least. Too simplistic actually. Inside felt like an entirely different place. The interior was covered in purple and white. A bar bit to far off with the appropriate stools, and a soft tune echoing in the background. She could feel a bit at ease seeing little to no one here. It made her feel...safe, in an odd way. The Latina was still trying her hardest to cool down, completely that is. It was hard to keep her urge back completely especially just after a fight. It was honestly a battle, one she wished she didn’t have to fight.

"It isn´t exactly a chez Pierre in the centre of Paris type of restaurant. Or maybe not even a restaurant in the narrowest sense. But on the other hand it also has no dress code."
Anja had no idea why she was apologizing for a bar like restaurant she had pulled out of her memory, but strange enough it was something many people felt obliged to when they had selected something for anyone else.

"And I really like their burgers. It´s not such a clean cut, health burger experience. No! It´s an old school burger, with fries and no salad around if you do not count the salad on the burger itself."
A little sigh ended the praise for the burger while she would already sit down to wait for the waitress to order a burger with fries and a big coke on top.

She raised a brow, hearing them apologize for it not being fancy seemed...off? She wasn’t expecting it to begin with nor could she afford anything that high class anyhow. ”I mean, it’s fine, Anja. I don’t think either of us could even pay for something like that anyhow. This suits me just fine.” She declares, stepping further inside the establishment, Camilia dragged her index finger along the booth the pair of them decided to sit in. Tossing her gym bag into her seat, she collapses into the booth with a sigh.

This was her first time being here, she reached for a menu from the table and began to look it over. She listened as the Raven gave her the rundown of the apparently “out of this world” burger. It didn’t sound bad, nor did fries but something like that after a workout they just had, she didn’t think it would settle well and decided not to try it. ”I’ll take your word for it. I’m it feeling a burger though, maybe I’ll try...the Sashimi? Never heard of that.” she began to read its description. Her red pools narrowed then seemed a bit confused. Raw fish? Could you eat that? She shrugged, maybe it would be so bad.

”Can’t hurt to try it. If I don’t like it I don’t have to order it again.” She jokes, setting the menu down, relaxing into the booth’s rather comfy padding.

Tilting her head a little to signal approval of the idea of Camilia that she could not afford a visit to a French luxury restaurant, she could not help but think for a moment about the dirty money that could hav been her heritage if she hadn´t turned it down for the sake of closure of that part of her life.

Sitting down on a bench too, she would raise a hand to signal the waitress to come to them, nodding when asked if she wanted her usual burger with fries. And surprisingly that was the closest Anja usually came in a social context, a working relationship ground on routine.
"This place is actually one of my guilty pleasure places. It is not exactly an athletes meal, burger with fries, but oonly eating healthy stuff makes me really fould modded after some time."
She added to her inner monologue in words, grinning a ltittel in the process.

Her knee began to bounce with anticipation, what was she anxious about? Camilia was calm now so it wasn’t about her temper, could it be something she’s not even considering? The Latina’s mind was too wound up for her liking, maybe she ought to head home after this, collect herself for the night.

”And for you?” She blinked, pulling herself away from her thoughts. Confused for a moment before looking down at her menu and recalling her decision. ”O-oh, uh. I’ll have the tuna Sashimi over rice please. Could I also have Green Tea to go with it?” She asks, the waiter giving her a nod as they wrote her order down, then taking her menu.

She settled her elbows against the table, her chin resting in her palm as her red hues wandered.

To avoid an awkward silence that would maybe creep in when two rather reserved people were talking with each other, Anja was quite happy that Camilia ordered a tea.
"You know, in my native country, your name sounds much like chamomile tea.
Ka-mill-e. For me, I am going all out when I have my burger day. Coke included."
It was one of these German words which ghosted through her mind and memory then and when. She probably would have heard it quite often at her orphanage and it somehow had stuck with her therefore.

"So, you didn´t know that there was a cateria. Where do you usually eat if you go out?"
Anja had no idea if someone like Camilia would go out at all, but asking couldn´t hurt.

Camilia had never been to Germany so disputing their claim wasnt possible nor did she feel the need to. It was interesting to hear though, the tea sounded exoctic, perhaps she would have to order some. ”I didn’t know that. I guess the Germans have a good taste in naming their products.” She lightly teased, aiding the Raven in their conversation starter as she pulled her chin from her palm. The Latina felt she was being rude with her posture, better to fix it now then later.

Their next question seemed fair to ask given the circumstances. Before she answered, she racked her brain, trying to remember if she had heard anything before today about a cafeteria but nothing clicked. ”Nope, this is my first time. Usually I just go to the places close to home. I’ve gotten to be a regular as this one place I go to a lot. It’s like a buffet, but not really? I don’t know what they call it but the food runs on a belt and you can pick what you want. You know what I’m talking about, right?” The Latina could only make the assumption since Anja had lived in the country for a while themselves.

Her teas finally arrived and she took it graciously, a quick sip to attest to its flavor. The aroma was actually nice to as was the taste, it wasn’t herbal like she’d had in the past. Camilia nods in agreement with her decision for the beverage.

"To be honest, I don´t know. I was raised up mainly in Japan with Japanese and English, I only remember a few words in German."
Anja explained, giving a litte smile in the process while her burger also arrived, much to the approval of the Blonde who rubbed her hand together in anticipation when it was put down right in front of her.

Taking a hearty bite to chew rather unlady like her cheeks were full of a mixture of meat and bread when she followed the words of Camille, pointing a finger at her to signal to know what she was talking about.
"Yeawh! I knuw what scha talking abaut."
She answered with a mouth full before making a road gesture to simulate the band Camille was talking about, little piees falling out of her mouth in the process. Then she swallowed the most part of it, her cheeks a little bit red.
"Kaiten-Zushi."
