Katy Armstrong vs. Zulime Lafitte

Katy Armstrong: Ring Attire:

As Katy sat in front of her locker, she took a moment to reflect on her short AFW career to this point with the little time she had before her newest match had began. There was not much to draw from, though she had fortunately managed to overcome initial adversity and seemed to finally settle into some kind of groove. The competition here was fierce and gave nobody much less newcomers and she had to hit the ground running. Especially given Savannah was convinced that Katy needed to handle singles action on her own without her at ringside.

Katy, in spite of her appearance, was not the most confident type so this arrangement was one that had shaken her to some degree. Savannah had her best interest at heart, so Katy didn't think she tried to sabotage her, but she just wasn't sure if she could really handle being out there by herself without her friend & partner by her side.

Yet here she sat, moments away from another match on this arrangement...having had success, and perhaps feeling a touch more sure than she had when she first arrived.

Katy took a moment to sip some water from a bottle before she set it inside her locket and closed it, sighing to herself as she considered her new opponent. A woman named Zulime Lafitte, who from what Katy could get at was a relative new face with an impressive presence to her and it reflected on her record. She was a foe to be weary of, and Katy would be sure to bring her best for this as she was certain Zulime would bring nothing less to her.

Once she got her cue, Katy would nod as she closed her locker and made her way to the backstage area. The gorilla position where she would wait for her theme to play before she'd make her way to the stage.

Katy's Theme:

Once her tune played, Katy made her way to the entrance stage as the muscular woman looked onto the crowd; who had grown a bit more receptive if not supportive of her than in matches past as her record and her name got a bit more buzz which caught her off guard. But she would nod to acknowledge this higher vocal support before she moved her way down the entrance ramp. While still a bit sheepish, given her nature, the green-haired woman had a bit more confidence to her step than before as she got more comfortable with the atmosphere of the pro circuit as she walked up the ring steps and stepped through the ropes into the ring.

Once inside, she struck a bit of a pose; flexing slightly, as she had the "V for victory" sign as she worked to shake any remaining nerves before she moved to a corner and faced the entrance stage and waited for her opponent to arrive.

Zulime was sitting there, cross legged. She was a daughter of the riverboat, and as such knew that the more eyes that she could get on herself, be it at the card table or behind the piano or up on the stage, the more likely she was to go far wherever she was. So as she was looking at the piece of paper that her manager had given her, she was grinning like a bank robber who made it to the county line. She was blowing up. The wins definitely helped, but more importantly she was doing it with style. The crowd loved the fact that she was constantly trying to take her opponent's clothes off, even when the match did not demand that. And her own sexuality, prominent for the world to see, aided her in her quest for glory. Other girls here were focused on winning belts to the detriment of everything else, but not Zulime, far from it. The Riverboat Queen was here to have herself a grand old time, and she was going to keep that rolling as best she could.

She stepped out of the dressing room with her bare feet greeting the floor with quiet steps. Zulime was thinking about her opponent. Katy was fairly new to AFW, just like Zulime was, and she was a big woman. Heavier, too. There wasn't that much to go on in terms of style, but even if Zulime had assiduously studied tape, she would not have changed her game plan in the slightest. Whenever she stepped in the squared circle, her strategy was always the same, in that there was no strategy in the slightest. Just like when she was sitting behind a piano, she was going to improvise and improvise and improvise until she got something that she liked out of it. Against a woman as big as Katy, she was not 100% sure that was going to work, but she would be damned sure that she was going to try, if nothing else.

Zulime was going to be wearing a new outfit just for the evening. There was no particular reason for it, but there was no particular reason not to, she supposed. She was waiting behind the curtain, peeking out of it into the crowd. It was a full house tonight. As it should be, she thought with a smile. The Cajun girl had already warmed herself up, and was good to go. Her heart was pumping now, and she was ready to go.

Her music started up and Zulime emerged into the arena with her arms extended out. She shimmied down to the ring, shaking her hips and waving to the fans as she made her way down. The Riverboat Queen was even willing to blow a kiss to a few lucky fans out there, before she slid under the bottom rope and approached her opponent. She was a little bigger in real life, she thought, but Zulime looked undaunted as she stood across from her opponent.

"Well ain't I just charmed to lay my eyes upon you?" Zulime purred.

As Katy stood in her corner and watched her opponent made an entrance, her eyes naturally widened as she got a full view of just what her opponent looked like in person and needless to say the shockingly meek tower of power was a bit flustered to say the least when she saw that attire of hers.

The woman came out wearing what seemed to be some sort of reptilian-themed green attire which left little to the imagination as she moved with a confidence to her bare step as Katy could not help but have a mild blush at this. That attire, the presentation was a touch suggestive for someone who was a lewd evasive as Katy normally had been. Still she quickly shook her head as this woman made her way inside the ring, she had to remember that this aspect was a trademark of A.F.W. and that she needed to focus on the task at hand and not get distracted.

And focus was key, as this women seemed quite confident if her expression was anything to go by much less her words which again made Katy feel internally sheepish at the bit of possibly flirting. Naturally she shook her head at this as she locked eyes with her opponent who seemed quite athletic outfit aside. Either way she worked up what confidence she could as she seemed settled before she would reply to the woman.

"I-I am flattered, but I hope to show my skills are what you should take note of. I hope we have a good match." Katy said as she expressed her best wishes out of sportsmanship before the referee went to check to see if both competitors were ready. Once the referee had been satisfied, she would ring the bell as the match was officially underway. Katy began with a basic if not cautious approach, aiming to step slowly from her corner in a slightly crouched grapple position with her arms out waiting to see what Zulime would do to begin.

Zulime smiled the wide toothy grin of a swamp alligator. Her pearly whites all but shined under the bright lights of the AFW arena. Katy was being sheepish. Zulime preferred brash and boisterous and bedazzled, but she would happily accept flustered. The Riverboat Queen knew what sort of effect she had on people. She was more than happy she was having that particular effect on Katy right away, because that meant that she might not only be able to wittle her down with her body, but with her charm as well. Zulime put her hand just an inch short of her clavicle and pretended like she was nothing short of flabbergasted.

"Oh honey, didn't mean nothin' by it. I am sure that you have a wide variety of skills that are gonna impress lil ole me." Zulime chuckled as she waved to the referee that she was ready. The bell rang out across the arena so that everyone could hear it, and Zulime stood tall for a moment before she hunkered down into her wrestling stance. She wanted to make it seem like everything she was doing was easy.

Zulime's advance was a steady one. Her arms were outstretched, and she was more than primed to make her first contact with her opponent. "You ready, suga?" She asked before she lunged forward to latch onto her opponent.
