Re: Styles Clash: Shinobu Echigo vs. Jinx
Shinobu had to speculate that Jinx must have done some pre-match research to have known about her grade school habits and that bullies branded her under that same title. In particular how she frequented the library during recess to read up about her favorite detective stories with teenage gumshoes catching the bad-guy with nothing but their wits, imaginations, and admittedly sometimes really easy to follow clues. Shin's bookworm inclinations making her an unenviable target for overgrown bullies dunking her head first into trash bins and reigning overall terror amongst all of her fellow schoolyard classmates. To the point where one day she earned the right to don the coveted Hall Monitor vest and dispatch disciplinary reprimanding towards those same bullies...who'd regrettably respond not much differently, aside from knocking over the trash bin and gleefully rolling it down the hallway after stuffing the forlorn do-gooder inside for an irksomely disgusting roller coaster experience...
...but one that helped Shinobu further pursue her Kendo sword training even moreso until she was finally able to vanquish those same delinquents with cracking thwacks of her Kendo stick. A swordwoman's experience that she knew could allow her to come out victorious in this first round of the match should she ever reclaim her wooden weapon just than being tapped at from atop it's steel perch...before she started being ushered backwards by her billowing white cloak hugging tightly against her now. Shinobu's moment of irritating clairvoyance about how much of a hindering liability her jacket was had all ended up coming much too late as she was heaved backward with a slippery trip-up. One that had her arms extended outward in gasping terror in the split-second of hang time before she'd plummeted downward for an impact she'd predicted to be dreadfully painful as she scrunched her face and braced for the worst.
*Hm?...That...That wasn't so bad...* Shin thought to herself as she peeked open one eye while splayed out on the canvas, unaware to the fact she could attribute her pillowed landing to her supple tush being thumped down on the cat-girls facial features to a jiggling bounce on landing. She thanked her lucky stars while shuffling up to seated position with her knees folded to the side, massaging the back of her head with a cute flinch since she was still dizzied and stunned from the fall. For some reason finding it difficult to sit up straight and therefore swiveled her hips from side to side with her bubbly backside following the wiggling motions. Just than she began to glance around in confusion as to where Jinx had scampered off to with her eyesight first glancing up at the kendo stick to make sure she hadn't taken it yet...when all of a sudden her jacket started being tussled about, and a pair of legs flung towards her before hooking underneath her armpits and flinging the perplexed policewoman to a face-planting splat right in front of the corner ringpost. Shin blubbering into the canvas with a flapping of her own lips this time...

Re: Styles Clash: Shinobu Echigo vs. Jinx
Jinx shot upright to a sitting position, see-sawing with the forward flop of her opponent being driven back down into the mat. Wide eyes and gasping, Jinx was left staring at derriere that she had just been imprisoned beneath. She scowled, cheeks still a visible shade darker from the force blush, bring one of her palms around to crack the presented cheeks with a hard slap. She didn't follow through with the motion, instead lifting one leg to untrap the Wrestle Angel's arm and shove her backside roughly to the side, rolling her away. It left her angrily swatting at the flutter of the other girls jacket slack as if set upon by a swarm of bees as the two parted.
Pushing off the mat, the nimble fighter better up her own weight just enough to tuck her legs in to crouch, poised on the has of her feet, staring at the turnbuckles before them. With a hop, she was back up, taking a moment to compose herself by combing fingers through her hair and giving her long braid a flick over her shoulder. With a domineering smugness cast down from her gaze on Shinobu, she took a far less direct path towards the corner by walking up behind the other girl, making sure to take the time to step all over her downed opponent. Balancing on her thighs, digging a heel on her backside, planting her foot between her shoulder blades and finally pinning her face down to the canvas with goes curled in her hair, grinding the other girl's face along the canvas.
"Nyeh heheh" A gleeful spring off her fallen foe took her in a twirl to the middle rope where she spun about to rest her backside on the top turnbuckle. No show of strength was complete without gloating a bit so she threw her arms back behind her head and puffed out her chest in a runway pose, blowing a kiss to the arena crowd as if none of her fumblings had ever happened.
"I tried to play nice but you had to go and ruin all the fun." Jinx snickered softly, reaching behind herself to tug her shorts out from between her cheeks, it had started to ride a bit high. "Shun the carrot lil bun-bun, you get the stick." She looked proud of herself for the new nickname. It made sense in her mind. An open insult to how harmless and jumpy the other girl was, also garbed all in mostly white. The whole cute and cuddly aspect of it however she would keep to herself. The important thing with the comparison was that she was an animal of prey and Jinx remained the predator. Priorities.
Climbing to the top rope the sinister seductress giggled, purposely waiting for Shinobu to look up and watch her snatch the kendo stick from its perch. Waiting to see that look of terror a d realization of defeat. Shinobu would know that Jinx was her better and she would savor the moment. She made a show of slowly walking her fingers up the length metal shaft, stretching out to reach the top. At just the right moment she grasped to tear the weapon down sealing her…
She grabbed for the kendo stick…
She clasped…
Jinx blinked, feeling around the top of the pole. Turning to look up, she found the kendo stick was gone. Her hair colored out in shock and panic, looking back to her fallen foe to make sure she hadn't grabbed it. No, it wasn't in her grasp not on the mat. Whirling about, she clutched the pole and leaned out past the ropes, eyes searching the ringside area. Had it fallen? Had Shinobu chucked it? She found herself looking back at the pole between sweeps of the area in sheer disbelief she hadn't noticed it missing until just now.

Re: Styles Clash: Shinobu Echigo vs. Jinx
Several stark realizations all came flooding in for Shinobu all within one startling split second. Up to and including where Jinx had scurried off to ever since her descent, and why Shin was having such a bothersome time sitting comfortably. She'd take this time having her grumbling face flattened against the canvas to try and recollect just where this match had gone so horribly off the walls for her, matters starting smoothly enough in that Boston Crab of hers...and now here she was flustered, frustrated, fatigued, and flummoxed after having just been seen burying her opponent's face against her supple backside. A lewd act she didn't think Jinx would believe her if she doubted doing so intentionally, which was an assumption Shinobu figured was truthful after feeling her white leotard clad rump bitterly thwacked to a wiggled jostle. Compelling Shin to flinch her grimaced face, which at the very least somewhat stirred the policewoman out of her rattled stupor, attempting to find the silver lining in all of this misfortune in that at the very least things couldn't get any worse for-
"Nnnnn...Ahowowowo..." Shin spoke too soon once her feline foe started traipsing upon her and using the downtrodden servant of Justice as nothing more than a pitiable doormat for the cat-walking feline. Shinobu's misery compounded when Jinx started grinding her barefoot into the back of her head, to which she whimpered into the canvas and squirmed about. A shameful display if there ever was one of, seemingly, the ease with which Jinx had subdued the former Wrestle Angel into nothing more than a marble white throw rug for her to primly step upon before nimbly hopping up and taking her seated throne. Jinx overlooking the fallen policewoman splayed out and prostrating herself out before the ebon-clad mischief maker. Shinobu may have spoken too soon...this was undoubtedly the more shameful display of the pairing. She blubbered meekly with an uptick to her leg but nothing more as Jinx lauded over her. Just tacking on further humiliation as Shin didn't even have the energy reserves to rebut Jinx's words after being affectionately frazzled and tossed about within seconds of eachother. The policewoman knew the Kendo Stick was all but lost to her now, and with that, the tools to win this round. She somberly braced herself for the incoming thwacks to come...lifting up her head with a despondent huff...casting her half-lidded eyesight forward and noticing...
*THE KENDO STICK!!!* Shin's sullen demeanor brightening up instantly as if to match her marble white outfit, all upon setting her eyes on the wooden weapon having been knocked from it's perch earlier thanks to Shin's tugging fingers. She smiled exuberantly and with sparkly eyed joy, gasping sharply before covering her mouth so as not to arouse the suspicion of her feline foe feverishly examining the outside of the ring for the stick in question. Channeling her renewed strength and jubilation, she started crawling swiftly towards it and snatched it out from under the turnbuckle before vaulting up to her feet and presenting it into the air as if it were a newly acquired video game weapon she'd just plucked from a treasure chest. A stirring ovation from the audience perhaps giving away the surprise, but regardless, Shin would grasp the wooden sword with both hands tightly and offer a steely eyed glare at Jinx...an exaggerated woundup being taken before Shinobu would strike her sword true~...squarely at the cat-girls perky rump, coincidentally enough being jutted out due to Jinx's thorough searching.

Re: Styles Clash: Shinobu Echigo vs. Jinx
There was no real reason Jinx needed the kendo stick. No rule that ordained it necessary to use the weapon in order to win, only that it was legal to make use of it during the match. So why then was she so determined to wield it when she seemed to have taken control of the match? There was stubbornness, yes, but it was more than that. The feline fighter had built this moment up in her mind. Triumphantly standing tall over a battered Shinobu with the self proclaimed arbiter of justice's own weapon in hand.
The image was so vivid to her she could see it as clear as a movie poster framed on a theater's wall. While knocking off a Beserk veteran had been a step in the right direction, having a main event level stipulation match with a Wrestle Angel was a jump start to her super stardom. It didn't matter how unknown Shinobu might be in AFW, her old federation cared with it a level of prestige that outshined the wrestlers themselves.
That was why when the crowd began to cheer, her curiosity turned to frustration. This was her moment of victory and they were laughing and celebrating the fact she couldn't find the stupid stick? Her expression soured, glaring daggers into the crowd. It was easy to miss an arm slipped underneath her in the moment as the object of her desire was pilfered from beneath her feet. Easier still, to lose track of the time she had given Shinobu to collect herself. While she searched, her perky posterior wiggled alluringly, practically calling to face retribution for her misdeeds.
"Eeeeee!" Jinx let out a high pitched cry of surprise, far more girlie than most of what she let on thought the match. Like a cat spritzed with a spray bottle her body immediately reacted by springing herself upright, flailing wildly before landing precariously on the top turnbuckle, clutching at the pad in a white knuckled crouch, trying her damnedest not to fall out of the ring and onto the harsh floor below. Jinx looked back over her shoulder with an expression of horror, the carefully styled top of her hair meant to replicate cat ears even dropping, almost as if self aware of her emotional state. Her form shrunk at the sight of the now armed Shinobu now faced with an adversary capable of actually fighting back the tables had turned.
She was a sitting duck here, with limited avenues of escape. Rather than risk the burning fire that was the fiery eyed Wrestle Angel, she risked retreat by scrambling haphazardly down the back end of the ring post, dropping herself down onto the ring apron on all fours. It was a frantic scramble along the small ledge of the apron, desperately duck the first few follow-up swings that had her whining in her retreat. It didn't take long for Shinobu lock in on her movement and land a few solid strikes that had her practically hopping along the apron with surprised yelps. By the time she had reached the next turnbuckle her could almost imagine how rosy red her burning cheeks had become under those kendo strikes. There was nowhere left to run from the long wooden sword of the law.
"Waitwaitwait!" Jinx huddled up against the post, throwing her arms up defensively through the ropes, waving wildly to catch Shinobu's attention. She looked small, curled up as she was, almost pathetic, hardly the cruel combatant that had been in the ring moments ago. She was pouting, a quivering lip and wide eyes peering up at Shinobu pleading silently for mercy. So helpless… what with the big scary Wrestle Angel using a dastardly weapon against her. How cruel. How unnecessary. All she wanted was to have a fun, lighthearted match between the two of them… no need to dwell on her last misdeeds. That was then, this was now. "You... You didn't even get it down from the pole. How is that fair?"

Re: Styles Clash: Shinobu Echigo vs. Jinx
For only the briefest of moments, Shinobu thought it appropriate to indulge herself just this one, teeny tiney time. Although it was quite unbecoming of an officer of the law whose sworn to uphold truth, justice and the rule of law through fair minded due diligence...she still couldn't deny it felt really satisfying to thwack that adorable behind of Jynx's with all the pent-up fervor of a mocked, degraded, and sensuously frazzled policewoman hellbent on regaining some shreds of dignity as well as her position as being in the lead of the match. A veritable lifetime of kendo stick practice ensuring the ferocity of the strike as Shin unleashed her emblazoned fighting spirit upon the bubbly rump practically brandishing a bulls-eye upon it. Years of regimented practice, discipline, and iron-willed perseverance having had Shinobu become ranked as fifth dan in the world of Kendo only just recently to her own ecstatic glee. She still remembers how proud her mother looked in the crowd of onlookers during the ceremony after winning the deciding match.
Shinobu's love of the martial art did indeed have an integral part in forming the backbone of her inner sense of disciplined fortitude and notion of achieving a wholesome sense of righteousness and duty through backbreaking labor~...and it was right about now, whenever Shin attempted to express these impassioned feelings towards any of her other Wrestle Angels in the locker-room, she would invariably find herself preaching to emptied hallways of lockers for several minutes before balking at her newfound solitude. But that never deterred Shin from striving onward towards her spreading of the art of Kendo, and Jynx may have now realized Shin's expertise with the wooden weapon herself as she timidly peered backward at Shin winking back and sticking her tongue out before swatting and chasing away at the retreating cat-lady scurrying about on the ring apron with the lawful good practitioner hot on her heels. At least until this kitten was finally cornered and halted Shin's advances with a plea for clemency and a cowering huddle that had Shin hesitate with a bit of a blush from how...cute, she kinda looked...
...but Shin still wasn't buying it. The Iron-Willed Echigo glowering with a half-lidded and dead-panned expression, twirling her wooden weapon about before resting it upon her shoulder with a hand still on it's hilt before arching forward to bring her face to judgmental face with the mischievous trickster. "HMPH!!! Why do I get the feeling that if positions were reversed, you wouldn't be quite so merciful as I am right about now? You certainly weren't so concerned with what was fair when you turned my extended hand of friendship against me, now were you?~..." Shinobu emphasized her recent recollection with a pinched tugging on Jynx's cheek as a cute bit of reprimanding for the dirty trick she pulled on her. Shin than standing upright with that hand balled on her hip with the kendo stick swung down to be inches from Jynx's nose. "Any other wrestler in this federation would be callous, cold-hearted and unconcerned with what was considered fairplay, and they would be striking you down with reckless abandon as we speak..." Shin righteously stated.
Several seconds later, Shin would exhale deeply...and fling her Kendo stick across the other side of the ring until it landed right in front of the commentator's desks, to their own stunned befuddlement. The surrounding audience expressing the same shock, as Shin would, once again, offer the trickster a helping hand back to her feet. The same wholesome smile being offered to Jynx as well.

Re: Styles Clash: Shinobu Echigo vs. Jinx
There was never really any doubt that justice was being served here as the audience gleefully cheered Shinobi on, thirsty to see the kendo stick to finally see some use. While Jinx's mischievous antics and cunning had won over many in the crowd but Shinobu's steadfast determination in the face of humiliation and dutiful adherence to the rules despite the detriment they had become also seemed to have a booming pack supporters. No matter who was in control though, one thing that seemed universal was the enjoyment of seeing these two women go at one another. It was a shame the feline fighter couldn't really understand the value in that as her happiness tended to be tied into directly how well she was winning and right now things didn't look good.
It didn't help her case that her animated overreaction to being struck on the backside served to make it all the more entertaining to thwack her rear, yelling and hopping about as if someone were actually unloading a firearm in her direction. To her dismay, no matter her position of angle, Shinobu had incredible precision, able to strike her clearly on the run time and time again until it had practically taken a deep shine, nearly going numb with the sting. she hated this feeling, this hopelessness, this helpless… the very thing she more often than not was tickled pink by forcing onto her opponents. What might have been a teaching moment however was ruined by her own selfish self pity at how something so horrible could happen to her, of all people.
After weighing her options in the span of several panicked seconds of fleeing, she found herself huddled in the corner practically begging to put an end to it. She didn't admit to how much it hurt nor how also harassing it all was to be chased about by someone she had just earlier been manhandling, no, she appealed to Shinobu morales. The pillar of justice hadn't actually been the one to pull the kendo stick down after all, while not written in the rules, it certainly was in the spirit of them. Her intention had of course been to pull the other girl into a false sense of security and just snatch the weapon from her… but as she stared up at the looking figure of her adversary she couldn't help but feel a little something else… something strange.
Shinobu handled the weapon so crisply, stood so tall and confident in this moment. She was in control and knew it… Jinx found herself biting her lower lip slightly as she half listened while engrossed just in the sight of her. The dark haired girl let out a small childish whine, squinting like a child being accosted by their grandmother when her cheek was pinched. "I would stop if you asked…" She mumbled softly, guilty, knowing her words were influenced by hindsight and a half truth. She might stop hitting Shinobu on request, but would almost certainly have moved onto doing something else with the kendo stick, just to keep her word if confronted.
When the kendo stick came down, the wannabe tough girl flinched with a cutesy little gasp, closing her eyes for the blow that didn't come. She paused a great before opening up one golden eyes, peering up at Shinobu like a sad wounded animal in need of a meal and a home. She opened her mouth to respond, but closed it. It was almost certainly true… but she could tell her opponent was hesitating. Considering something. She chose to keep her mouth shut in hopes her own silence wouldn't give the other girl a reason to strike her again.
She had expected, at most, a soft restart. Shinobu backing off to give her a fighting chance. When the other girl threw away the weapon entirely though, she found herself equally as baffled as the commentators and onlookers alike. What was her angle, her game? She had this match nearly in the bag when after with the practice sword, so why? When her eyes fell back on Shinobu, she was offering a hand and smiling at her. The feline fighter swallowed loudly as her cheeks darkened ever so slightly. Why was this girl being so weird, huh? Didn't she know how this business worked? You step on the girl in front of you to get to the next one. Why was she being so… chipper after everything Jinx had done?
Hesitantly she reached out to take Shinobu's hand, half expecting some trick that she might have pulled in the opposite position. As she was helped to her feet, wobbling due to her word backside, she was shocked to find nothing. No headbutt, no hip toss, nothing. Just this charmingly genuine need of a girl smiling at her like some weird angel. She found herself unable to meet the other girl's eyes as she blushed, tugging her hand free as they stood in front of one another. She wanted to hit her, throw her in a lock of some kind… but there was this pang of guilt that stopped her from taking anything but muttering one word. "Thanks."

Re: Styles Clash: Shinobu Echigo vs. Jinx
Torrential rainstorms were scarcely an uncommon occurrence in the Ueno district of Tokyo that Shinobu called home as a young tyke alongside her mother. As a matter of fact, splashing about in puddles while dressed in her bright yellow slicker jacket and boots was a beloved rainy day past time for four-year old Shin. Much to her mother's chagrin of course as they walked home together side-by-side after every school day, but not being able to afford much in the way of dolls, bikes, or other assorted overpriced children's toys meant that she typically had to find ways to entertain herself at that impressionable young age. Although it was during one such particular skipping jaunt down the sidewalk that Shinobu came across a overturned carboard box besides some trash bins. One that was on the brink of shclumping in on itself from the waterfall of the day's storm, and within which a shivering black cat had taken refuge.
Try as she might, a concerned Shin continuously failed to coax the frightened animal out of the dilapidated box for what she hoped would be a new addition to her family and a far more comfortable domicile for the feline in a pillowed basket besides the refrigerator. Except that swiping claws from a hissing cat and the scolding reprimand from her mother now tugging on her wrist for the rest of the walk home would be the only result of Shinobu outstretching her hand towards the possibly feral animal. An hour later though, and while her mother was occupied in making dinner, she took it upon to herself to return to the trembling animal and drape the cat in a quilt with an opened can of tuna placed beside her. The next day and after the storm's passing, Shinobu made a note of returning to that same alleyway where no trace of the feline was found aside from her rumpled up quilt and an emptied tuna can.
...the direct correlation between that one childhood memory and the current moment unfolding before millions of people wouldn't quite be realized yet by Shinobu given the stark differences still between them. But genuine compassion and a heart perhaps several sizes too big were the over-riding reasons for either of them. At first a stalled silence from the gobsmacked audience was needed for them to process the reasoning behind it all, and just what was Shinobu's ploy or gameplan here. The Steel Defense's accommodating yank upward without any violent reprisal cluing everyone in to a decidedly unified reaction. Those who were denied a chance to witness Jinx get a rightful caning all booed in thumbs-downing disapproval of Shinobu being such a merciful and naive sap...while a scant minority applauded the hopelessly virtuous gesture as Shin flinched from Jinx yanking her hand back so abruptly.
"Oh, well...umm...th-thank you for trusting me this time. I'm uh...I'm sure that wasn't easy." Shin halfheartedly laughed while hugging one elbow, neither one capable of catching the blush on the other's face considering that Shin's eyes were closed as she skittishly answered back. Jinx's adorability from earlier not holding a candle to the kittenish grappler now, especially after hearing her actually thank her for something. Earning Jinx's trust like that...all of those aforementioned butterflies in her stomach must have traveled North to now have her heart going all aflutter. "...*ahem*...I would, uh...rather us wrestle on even terms anyway. It just wouldn't have seemed fair if I kept assaulting you with it when you weren't ready. But whaddya say we keep going? Fair and square this time though~..." Shin beamed with virtuous optimism, flashing a corny winking smile and thumbs up as she attempted to finally unhook her jacket before turning around to pass it to the referee.

Re: Styles Clash: Shinobu Echigo vs. Jinx
Jinx hazarded a look, expecting another lecture from the would-be paragon, but instead she found just a bashful girl unable to keep her gaze either. It felt her with a strange warmth, getting a small fanged smile from her unintentionally. Shinobu was such a loser… but really cute. Jinx straightened up slightly, trying to present herself in a slightly better light… people were watching after all. Truth be told, she was talking but the feline fighter wasn't paying full attention to her stammering… though something that she said did stick out to her.
"Even terms." She mused softly in a small purr, distracting herself with the blatantly looking over the other girl as she slipped free from her accessorized jacket. Taking in the new view, she was anything but subtle as she fidgeted in place, thinking back on the match just a few moments prior. It was a modest look for Shinobu, at least compared to the rather scandalous way Jinx dressed in the ring but there was some charm to it. Humble. It fit her well, figuratively and literally by the way it clung to her curves. She could wait to wrap her thighs around her again...
"Even terms." She found herself repeating it as if something had just clicked. They were equals now, were they? As if all that work she had put into thrashing the wrestle angel hadn't been real only to have her luck into getting that kendo stick? There was no way she could be serious, not with all this playing at being some goodie goodie little knight or whatever this was. They weren't on the same level. Jinx was a top level talent, one of the best in the business. A knot in her stomach grew as history threatened to repeat itself.
Jinx looked on blankly, staring at Shinobu as the other girl turned away with a smile. Was this really how it was always going to go? A pretty face, a kind gesture, and then they could just walk all over her? She hadn't made a habit of it yet but that flaw was inside her, dulling her competitive edge. She had already become a headline, just a stepping stone in someone else's legacy as they rose to the top, leaving her behind. The sound was old but it festered every time she let her guard down a d feelings like these weaseled in. She longed to be the woman at the top, praised for her unparalleled skill and adored for her devilish good looks, but she was destined to simmer in the mid card limbo without so much as a second glance from management. She wanted desperately to be a ruthless cutthroat, to hang with the big names in infamy, but she just didn't have the heart. When someone spit negativity at her, she could battle back with such ferocity but when one of these girls came at her with sunshine and rainbows she just… couldn't. She couldn't do what it took to finish the deal, and she despised that weakness in herself.
She had to be stronger, be better. Who was Shinobu to her really? Nobody. Just another name on a roster she would check off after beating this girl here tonight. Why did she want it to be anything more than that? Sentimental wishy washy bullcrap, that is all it was. That wasn't who she needed to be, not now. She was a killer, someone sent here to put women down and claim the ultimate prize. Golden eyes narrowed into sharp slits as she glared at the other woman's back. She had been so comfortable to turn it, so trusting, so dumb. That was the difference between them, that vast divide Jinx firmly believed she was on the other side of, something she would demonstrate right now!
With two strides she closed the distance between both women. Shinobu was none the wiser as she handed off her jacket, occupying the official. Would it really be this easy, this perfect? Dipping down she brought her arm up swiftly between the wrestle angel's legs, dropping her own weight down towards the mat. Hugging the other woman's body close, she tugged hard to fumble her abruptly over onto her back, using the momentum to to roll herself in a more advantageous position to weigh her opponent down while she clutched tight onto her legs. The referee was just as startled as Shinobu likely was, forced to drop the vestment of justice to the side to get down onto the canvas and fulfil their job by counting the surprise roll-up.

Re: Styles Clash: Shinobu Echigo vs. Jinx
In spite of intentionally opting to approach the rest of the match sans her weapon of choice, with which she had the clear advantage and rarefied opportunity to make use of her years of kendo training in a wrestling ring, Shinobu simply could not have felt more relived. Even though the first round's purpose revolved around claiming the elusive kendo stick and making liberal use of it to your adversaries excruciating dismay, the thought of assaulting an unarmed women seemed downright unbecoming and dishonorable to the off-duty policewoman. How could she champion the ideals of fair play and rule-abiding honesty if she didn't practice what she so eagerly preached to whomever would listen? The entire situation had been a moral conundrum all day, wracking her brain up until she'd ultimately decided to fling the wooden weapon off towards the announcer's feet. As if she had discarded that burden from her shoulders with the same well-aimed throw.
And it was a decision she assumed Jynx was in agreement with considering she didn't go scampering off to reclaim the weapon immediately afterwards. It reinforced an inkling of a thought within Shinobu that the feline fighter perhaps shared the same beliefs as her. Sure, it had taken some time and, body-slamming splashes, and cheek-pinching, and the miraculous feat of escaping Jynx's bewitching charms. Although, Shin pondered as to what would have happened had her iron-willed resolve not kicked in once Jynx was on the verge of tasting victory alongside the taste of Shin's soft lips. A prospect that Shin couldn't stop fantasizing over no matter how much she tried...b-but those were all just a few bumps along the road before coming to the ultimate conclusion that Jynx, was not in fact, all that bad. She was merely a scrappy and carefree mischief-maker in need of some proper guidance is all.
"And...there~..." Shinobu unbuttoned and unfurled her flowing jacket to an unintentionally captivating flourish, one of her hands grasping it by the collar as it billowed above to the unveiling of her figure-hugging marble white leotard that was as pure as the driven snow with blue linings as well. It was fetching as it's skintight design accentuated every supple curvature as per Shinobu's preference for a slim-lined and no frills outfit, previously hidden beneath her coat now being fastidiously folded with a pleasant hum as if she were doing laundry before handing it of the referee. A proud swell in her chest with hands propped on her hips upon finally feeling she could start this match properly. Now eyeing the official approaching the side of the ring and the time keeper at ringside. "Thanks again for trusting me, Jynx. It's small acts of kindness and whole-hearted honesty like that which are the corner stones for fostering a true friendship betweEEEE-!!!"
Shin balked from feeling Jynx's arm between her legs before the world turned upside down to her arm-flailing and saucer-eyed bewilderment, rattled from the impact upon her head and shoulder before becoming curled over herself. Scrunching facials getting muffled betwixt her own perky breasts with legs spread to the side and pert rump presented shamelessly as the entirety of Jynx's weight was leveraged into the roll-up pin attempt. The policewoman writhed and wriggled with all of her fervor before somehow managing to buck out of the pin in the direction she was tugged in, having her fall flat on her face with Jynx flopped atop her spine. Shin perked her head up at the referee, but she was nowhere to be seen and was instead signaling to the timekeeper to ring the bell and mark it as a pinfall victory for Jynx. A crestfallen Shin slumping her head back down and propping her chin on the canvas, limbs outreached but as lifeless as the sullen tone in her downtrodden voice. "Hnnn...I...I lost again. But...But I tried so hard to...*sigh*...Honestly beginning to believe that jacket is bad luck..."

Re: Styles Clash: Shinobu Echigo vs. Jinx
There had been some measure of inner terminal at play here for Jinx. As someone who adamantly pushed the dog eat dog mentality in the locker room, she had a reputation to uphold. She couldn't be giving out hugs and handshakes to every bright eyed girl on the roster. While others had shown Jinx genuine kindness in the past, none of them had really been to the magnitude of Shinobu's naive gesture. Unlike the other ones, even her inventive mind couldn't conceive of a way that throwing away the weapon was done out of a want to manipulate or deceive. Shinobu was just that...innocent? She hated that word so much, especially when it came to other women in her profession.
That was why even though she had done something in rather unsporting, she held back in her own little way. Inside the feline fighter's mind, this had been fair. Sure, a surprise roll-up from behind wasn't the most honorable thing, but she had paid special attention not to hike the other girl's leotard up to help secure the pin. It was by the book, even though she had desperately wanted to make sure to leverage every advantage she could. When she was finally bucked off, she dropped back onto her knees, sitting on her legs.
She had won… the first round at least. Why wasn't she happier? Why had she hoped to hear a cheer for someone other than her as the referee counted a close near fall? Instead she folded her hand in her lap, rocking in place slowly feeling guilty. She stared at the sullen girl beside her, reaching out to gently give her a shove with her palm. "You haven't lost yet, idiot. It's first to two falls." Jinx muttered to the other girl, somehow turning what was meant to be a friendly reminder into more hostility like most things she touched. "The jacket is dumb anyhow." She lied, peering off to where the referee had let the garment fall. Shinobu wore it pretty well. She almost looked like some cute little superhero in the full getup.
With a heavy sigh Jinx pushed herself up, rising to her feet slowly as the referee looked towards her expectantly. Her gold eyes narrowed threateningly at the official, silently letting her know that she would make her announcement of what the next match type would be on her own time. "Come on, get up unless you want me to go beat you again." Jinx folded her arms beneath her bosom, staring down at her defeated foe, hamming up her indifference towards the beacon of justice. She would offer no aid to rise, only peer down at the other girl judgingly until she got up. Once she had, Jinx cracked one of her signature fanged smirks.
"Alright, next match will be submission victory only, verbal, tapping, passing out, whatever. Any submission." She placed an extra emphasis on the end there, a dangerous little twinkle in her eye as she watched Lady Justice herself to gauge her reaction. While Jinx had been pretty happy with the original kendo stick on a pole match in theory, in practice it had been disastrous. Submissions though, were her wheelhouse, and a broad stipulation like this gave her room to have some more fun. "Unless you just want to forfeit that is. I can understand why you might want to avoid the total abject humiliation when I twist you into knots."
