Knock Out Wonders: The Empress of the Ring VS The Eighth Wonder

Cynthia would bounce up and down a little, to shake out any strain she had and loosen up her muscles. She periodically did this in matches whenever she had a small chance to do so. Seeing as how Athena was rather in no shape to start launching an attack any time soon, the Empress was taking her time recuperating her strength. As her moniker suggested, this was her domain, and she will do take her time as she pleased. Even if she was known to be more of tyrant between her and her partner, there were times when she could appreciate taking a match a bit slower.

Once she had enough of resting, Cynthia would charge forward, before attempting to throw a high kick to Athena's side as the Wonder slowly pulled herself up by using the ropes.

Distancing herself from Cynthia, Athena went to the ropes and began recovering. She panted as she leaned against the ropes, trying her best to get back her bearing and composure. But then, Cynthia began moving towards her, and she knew that she couldn't afford to do nothing now that her opponent was about to attack her again.

She would keep watching Cynthia as she approached her, and when the other woman attacked her with a high kick, she would try to catch the incoming kick, looking to trap it for a bit before attempting to give it a twist, hoping to take the other woman down with a dragon screw takedown!

This match so far has been quite the interesting match in Cynthia's mind. When she first signed up to AFW with Alice, she had somewhat low expectations, having heard poor rumors about the place. AFW might be one of the biggest and popular wrestling organizations, but there were some shady dealings. She honestly expected after her debut match they would merely set her up with either a completely one sided match, something that would capitalize on her style of wrestling.

However, despite her previous inquiries and how this match started off, she was slowly enjoying herself. Given Athena Wonders' veteran status, she was a bit disappointed how she was able to steamroll her for a bit. But seeing how this woman refused to submit and give up easily, the Empress could respect an opponent like that. But even if she respected her, the Empress was dead set on winning. After recovering her strength, she charged right at her before throwing her high kick at the Wonder's damaged side!

The platinum blonde's eyes widened when her attack was caught midway, and in one swift moment, she was twisted, twirling in the air and slamming into canvas! Cynthia grit her teeth and let out a pained grunt before groaning in pain!

Athena successfully caught Cynthia's leg, and with that, she then twisted her leg and brought her down onto the mat with a dragon screw takedown. Seeing her opponent being taken down, Athena heaved out a sigh of relief, knowing that she got herself an upper hand over her opponent, and she would approach her so that she could grab her and pull her back up onto her feet. Then, she would drag her towards the center of the ring where she could carry out her next plan.

Still keeping her hands on Cynthia, Athena would stand tall in the middle of the ring, and displaying her strength, she would then try to lift her opponent up with her arms. Then, she would attempt to bring Cynthia back first onto her knee, hitting her with a backbreaker, which she had no doubt would inflict a massive damage on her opponent.

That dragon screw takedown had really messed everything up for the Empress of the Ring as the veteran caught her midattack. Sending her crashing into the mat had certainly ruined the momentum the Empress had built up in this match, and she knew that. She needed to get back up as quickly as possible before the Wonder could capitalize on her vulnerable state. That was easier said then done, considering Cynthia didn't have much time to recover as Athena dragged her into the center of the ring.

The woman growled as she scowled at her current situation, but she was still reeling back from getting struck down into the mat. She could now see how Athena Wonders was revered as a legend in the wrestling world. An attack from her could put down rookies easily. The Empress would try and resist being pulled up, but the Wonder was able lift her up, before bring her down on to her knee! Cynthia's eyes widened as she let out a cry of pain. She would quickly try and push against her opponent to try and roll off her knee while struggling waving her arms frantically from shock.

Her eyes winced and she stared up at Athena with defiant and pain filled eyes. She wasn't going to just lay there and take it, but her body was too stunned to do anything at all at the moment!

Displaying her strength, Athena lifted Cynthia's body up before bringing her down back first onto her knee, hitting her with a backbreaker. Then, she would straighten herself up, standing over the downed form of her opponent, standing tall like a superpowered heroine. The crowd cheered for the veteran wrestler, who had shown it to everyone why she was called the Eighth Wonder.

Seeing that Cynthia was stunned due to the backbreaker, Athena decided to continue with her onslaught. Bending down, Athena would grab onto Cynthia's head, pulling her up before getting herself right behind her. From there, she would wrap her arms around her opponent's waist, clasping her hands together as she would press her ample bust against her back before she attempted to hoist her up and throw her over with a German suplex, sending her crashing into the mat with the back of her head and shoulders.

Cynthia was glaring up at her powerful opponent, trying her best to recuperate and gain back some strength to fight back. But just as the Eighth Wonder brought the Empress down onto her knee for some impressive damage, her opponent almost instantly hoisted her back up again. Cynthia was too stunned to exactly fight back properly. Teetering a bit back and forth, she would feel Athena wrapping her arms around her waist as her ample bust pressed against her back. The Empress clicked her tongue as she knew what was about to come next, but she didn't have the strength to properly counter the move.

Bracing herself, the Empress felt herself be thrown over her opponent's shoulders and crashed down onto her head and shoulders with great impact! Cynthia's eyes widened and she let out a cry of pain for once. Her pupils dilated slightly and rolled up a little while her tongue hung out a bit. Her ass and legs stayed folded up in the air for a moment before flopping back down. The Empress would be panting as she laid their on canvas, before slowly pushing her up. She would make use of the nearby rope and grab it, using it to get up faster and get on her feet. Looking back at Athena, she would wipe the sweat from her face and readied herself once more.

Hoisting Cynthia over her head, Athena sent her down into the mat with a German suplex. Athena believed that she had dealt quite a damage on her opponent, though she didn't go for a bridging pinfall afterwards. She released Cynthia's body upon impact before she got herself pushed by her opponent. Huffing, Athena would roll herself over onto her hands and knees before she pushed herself back up. She would direct her gaze at her opponent, who had reached the ropes and pulled herself up.

Considering that she had just suplexed her opponent earlier, Athena believed that Cynthia would be slow to rise back up. So, Athena would try to get herself back on her feet as quickly as possible. She would wait for Cynthia to get herself back up on her feet, so that the moment her opponent let go of the ropes, Athena would charge towards her, extending out her arm to hit her with a clothesline, looking to send her over the top rope and out of the ring with the attack.
