A New Darkness: ORT's Debut (for WorldEnder)

Ort was quite surprised by Leiko's speed in that burdensome kimono. But she knew herself to be faster, sidestepped the punch easily-

"!"

-and just barely avoided Leiko's clawing fingers, her opponent's fingernails grazing her soft throat.

Ort danced out of Leiko's range. "Now that wasn't very nice," she murmured, eyeing Leiko's fingers.

"Awww... You dodged." Leiko disappointingly said as she resumed her view back on Ort. "Come on. Surely you can do better than that instead of just dodging and running away from me when I'm actually trying to fight." She said as she waited for Ort to make her move, not moving an inch from where she is.

Ort fingered her throat. Yes, she could feel it, the slight rawness of scraped flesh. Her smile renewed. She was going to enjoy this, all right.

"I can."

And she took hold of the thick ribbons holding up her right pony tail. A tug released her dark hair. Swiftly, surely, she wrapped the ribbon around her hand, cladding her knuckles in the material. All this while she smiled at Leiko, watching, waiting.

Leiko narrowly eyed Ort, watching what she's doing. She doesn't know what the girl's up to, but she decided to make the move while her opponent was busy wrapping the ribbon around her hands. Immediately, she quickly rushed in and tried throwing a punch to Ort's face, hoping that her speed and her straightforwardness would catch her off guard.

Ort didn't mind the interruption. In fact she wanted Leiko to attack her. Her half-bound hand now lashed out, casting the ribbon with vicious accuracy into Leiko's eyes, seeking to blind, the better to help her duck the fist.

Leiko had a longer reach than Ort's arm or Ort's ribbon. But combing arm and ribbon allowed Ort to negate Leiko's reach advantage.

"AHH!" Leiko screamed as her eyes were blinded. Immediately, her hands raised to tend her eyes. She couldn't even see what happened, not noticing that it was Ort's ribbon that blinded her. "I-I can't see!"

Ort snicked as she retracted her ribbon. She swiftly wrapped half of the remaining extension around her knuckles until she had enough padding there. Then, while Leiko was still blinded, she ran towards her opponent, jumped and drove that ribbon-bound first into Leiko's face with more force than she usually put into her blows. The makeshift wraps would mostly protect her surprisingly soft knuckles from the usual pounding they'd take during punches.

Leiko quickly tried to rub the itchiness in her eyes, and then immediately started to look to see what's happening. However, her eyes widened as she saw the punch coming. It was already too late to dodge it, and the punch squarely hit her nose, the impact strong enough to send her flying towards the mat. She landed on her side and immediately clutched her nose, screaming in pain as she was kicking the mat wildly. "Ow! Ow! Ow!!" She yelled out as her nose was already bleeding, probably even broken already, and tears dwelled in her eyes.

Ort licked droplets of Leiko's blood off her lips, off her ribbon-wrapped knuckles, and smiled dementedly. "Awww... you're bleeding..."

She walked over to the writhing Leiko, avoiding the kicking legs, would straddle the bigger girl's belly. "I'm sorry... I didn't mean to hit you that hard..."

And right after that blatant lie, she would begin punching Leiko in the face, smiling all the time.

"Really... I don't know what's come over me... I wouldn't do this normally..."

Leiko didn't pay attention to what Ort said, more concerned about her nose instead. She was easily straddled on, and before she knew it, she was too late to put up her defenses as the rain of punches came onto her shocked and surprised face. "Wait!-" But the punches already connected. Left and right, her head would turn after each punch hit the side of her cheek, her arms weakly moving since the pain was easily distracting her. Desperately, she would lash out one of her hand and tried to claw Ort's beautiful face viciously.
