It meant that she could follow up with something much more devastating.

Steady, steady, steady. Li-Mei’s attack had been an effective one, leaving Saif quite stunned. While she didn’t get the intended outcome from this, Li-Mei’s previous attack did at least have Kim stumbling back and into the ropes. There was nothing to be discouraged from.
