SS 19 MITB Final - Sophia Salt vs. Kaylee Day vs. Harumi Hazama

When Harumi was sent flying, Kaylee was dropping back down onto her knees, fingers pressed down to the mat as she sprang up instantly to a crouch. Looking back over her shoulder she saw the martial artist travel past her intended destination in a roll. That was fine, it bought her time. Leaning to the side, the social media star grabbed hold of the chairs she had thrown into the ring, gripping the folded legs tightly as she stood.

Turning on her heel, a bright smile on her face she merrily began to stroll over towards Harumi with the intention of battering the woman while she was down with her brand new weapon of choice. She hadn't gotten more before her leg snagged on something, causing her to hop awkwardly in place to maintain balance.

Flabbergasted she looked down to see Sophia clutching at her boot and throwing a fit. The blond blinked, trying to shake the sea striker off with a few guys of her leg but finding the other woman practicly glued to her.

"I'll give you what you really deserve." Kaylee practically snarled in a low whisper, turning her attention back to Sophia as her fingers clenched around the legs of her chair. She brought the weapon up high, staring down the length of her nose with a cold hard disdain at the woman beneath her before bringing the chair down at Sophia.

"Get!" She swung the chair. "Off!" Again. "Of!" Again. "Me!" She turned the chair over, holding it up in the reverse like a sword ready to impale her opponent. Taking careful aim she thrust the steel weapon down, trying to actually strike the woman's head now rather than simply batter her body.

Harumi huffed as she quickly came out of her roll in a defensive crouch, sure that Kaylee would be hot on her heels! After all the social media star had done, she wouldn’t let Harumi just get away. Each of them was the biggest obstacles to the others victory at the moment. Once one was downed or defeated, it probably wouldn’t be too hard to get the sea striker out of the way and grab the briefcase.

And sure enough, when Harumi peered over her shoulder, Kaylee was already coming back at her with a new weapon. A folding chair of all things. How the crowd continued to cheer for Kaylee was lost on Harumi, the woman still holding some sort of charm even as she had that dangerous look in her eyes as she shifted the chair legs in her hand to more appropriately club the judoka. Harumi was quickly getting back on her feet looking for a quick escape route before-

Kaylee suddenly stopped, almost falling over before she hopped in place for a minute. Harumi went from eyeing outside of the ring to looking over at the strange movement Kaylee was pulling. Much to everyone’s surprise, Sophia was still alive and even conscious! She had either played possum, or was so still Harumi simply wrote her off as finished, but the small girl still had some fight left in her. Her hands snaked around Kaylee’s leg and…she threw a tantrum?

"-Me!Me!Me!”

Harumi awkwardly looked away, unable to stomach the full-grown woman’s immature temper tantrum. If it was an act, she was doing a great job, but the whole thing seemed a bit to genuine for Harumi to stomach. It was like hearing a kid scream in a grocery store aisle, and suddenly everybody needed something somewhere else, and wanted to leave.

It wasn’t until the first meaty SMACK that Harumi’s attention was brought back to the two-struggling woman. Kaylee was smashing the folding chair against Sophia, each blow making a sharp clap as metal slapped skin and muscle. Harumi couldn’t say she was shocked, but it was still a disgusting sight to see. Sophia was a bit pathetic, and probably an opportunist at heart, but she didn’t deserve this level of savagery.

Kaylee basically announced each strike, and with her attention on the sea striker, Harumi would discreetly move out of Kaylee’s line of sight. Her footfalls were soft, and unheard over the roar of the crowd and the savagery of the strikes. By the third strike, Harumi had just about escaped Kaylee’s peripherals. The social media had one more word to end her sentence, and that’s when she shifted the folding chair.

She was looking to drive the steel right into Sophia’s skull! Such a thing could split her head open! The emerald eyes of the Judoka watched as Sophia began to bring the chair up, ready for her coup de grace! With all of her focus on delivering the final blow, Harumi darted forward, looking to throw a kick at the steel chair the social media star raised so dramatically! Her aim was to smash it right into her selfie ready face! Hopefully sparing the sea striker such a dangerous blow in the process.

Sophia quickly transitioned from rage to horror as she saw Kaylee raise the steel chair high into the air.
"Wait" she whispered before Kaylee cracked the hard steel against her unprotected head.

The first strike was more than enough to knock Sophia out. Her grip on Kaylee's boot slackened as blood dripped from the back of her head. Yet the savage star wasn't done yet. She continued to reign down brutal blows on her defenseless prey. With each blow, Sophia's limbs flopped about as drool leaked from her lips.

Just as Kaylee was about to bring down her bloodied club for the fourth time on her twitching opponent, a silent angel interfered and probably saved her life

There was a brief moment when Sophia's eyes caught her own. Bright green Jade's, beautiful to behold. She had what many would consider to be a captivating gaze, multifaceted enough to protest her in a myriad of different lights to different people. She was a sweetheart, a business woman, a sex icon, and everyone's best friend… but Sophia got to see something a little bit more that not many people ever did. A ruthless glint in her eyes that spoke towards how much she had to fight and claw for everything she had even gotten. When the simple request for mercy left the sea strikers mouth, Kaylee's lips curled just slightly into a smirk… a clear denial of the request before bringing the chair down over top of the smaller woman.

Even as Sophia's grip faltered with the girl being unresponsive, the blonde continued to hammer away at her helpless for regardless of the growing red stain matting the smaller girl's pale hair. One less competitor to worry about, especially if they dragged her out of the match in a stretcher. She had been willing to work with Sophia, but the girl proved to be a liability. She couldn't have that, no loose ends.

Turning the chair over in her hands, panting softly at the stain of wailing away at what may very well have been a corpse of a former adversary, she raised the chair high with intentions of making sure Sophia's role in the match had come to a definitive end…

Just before she brought the chair down, movement out of the corner of her eye. Too late to do anything, Harumi was practically on top of her! She started to pivot, intending to redirect the chair down at athe martial artist as she was kicking out at her… too high, what an idio-

The metallic pang of Harumi's foot impacting the face of the chair came only moments before it wow down into Kaylee's face, catching the social media star by complete surprise. Her head snapped backwards before taking the rest of her body with it to the mat, her weapon of choice flattering to the canvas at her side as she lay groaning on the ground.

Each sickening THUD from Kaylee’s assault on the downed sea striker rang out through the crowd in a sickening display of brutality. Even as the smaller girl, who had hardly proved herself to be any kind of threat whatsoever, begged for mercy and to be spared such pain, Kaylee simply slammed her metal weapon right into the girl’s skull with so much vivaciousness, Harumi didn’t even know the intent of the damage Sophia was going through. The poor girl was already unconscious, and still the social media monster was beating on her without a second thought. It was absolutely disgusting, no matter how one looked at it. The fact anyone still cheered for her spoke volumes about how blindly her fan base seemed to follow her. Like a pack of cowardly demons that yelled and stomped their feet so long as their champion was standing, but would flee as soon as the tide turned.

Harumi didn’t plan on letting Kaylee continue such cruelty. With a simple kick to her own vehicle of destruction, Kaylee would feel they bite of retribution. Such a bite was so much sharper of an impact then the others were. Perhaps due to how close the weapon was to Kaylee’s face before impact. Needless to say, the force was enough to take the woman off her feet and leaving her writhing on the ground. Her fans booed the Judoka…but that didn’t really affect her at the moment.

With a sharp kick, the steel chair was sent shooting out of the ring, crashing to the ground like a fallen aircraft as it bounced off the concrete and hit the barrier. The Emerald eyes that peered down on Kaylee looked at the social media star with an empty gaze, as though she were little more then trash that needed to be burned.

Harumi reached down to pluck Kaylee’s leg off the floor before sending a swift kick to her side to roll her over onto her stomach. There wouldn’t be any fancy holds or locks…not on someone as despicable as Kaylee. Harumi planned to simply pull Kaylee’s leg back as far as it would go into a boston crab, bending the wretch’s spin until it couldn’t go any further…then push it beyond that point as payment for her monstrous disregard for Sophia’s safety.

While Harumi nd Kaylee battled valiantly for supremacy the so called Sea Striker layed in the middle of the ring, twitching, bleeding and rolling her eyes deep into her skull. 

As soon as the pop star and the ninja were a safe distance away EMTs arrived to drag Sophia's limp body out of the ring, her blood, sweat, and saliva smeared against the plain white canvas as they dragged her. The KO'd girl was finally rolled into a stretcher and carted off back stage for urgent care.

The two real competitors were left to Duke thing out on their own. No one seemed to know when or if Sophia would come back.

Kaylee lay on the ground, regretting her life choices… though that basically just amounted to getting hit with her own chair and had nothing to do with her savage treatment of Sophia as the other girl laid bloodied on the mat. Her first instinct was to reach for her fallen weapon, her hand groping for one of the legs. Her fingers pawed at the metal just before it was sent sliding out of the ring thanks again to Harumi.

Kaylee glared up at the judoka lifted one of her legs, drawing in her knee preparing to kick up at the other woman. Harumi was prepared, giving her a preemptive boot in her side, making the blond drop her leg and ruining her intended retaliation. The social media star grunted as she was flopped over onto her side, helpless to stop the other woman from dropping down on her back. She knew what was about to happen, in a panic her eyes franticly scanned the ring for answers.

She found one, reaching out with her hands just as Harumi began cracking her leg backwards. The pain ramped fast, but her innate flexibility did wonders to helping her not take the brunt of the hold on the initial pull of her leg backwards. She let out a scream of pain, over embellishing just a bit… it hurt, but it could be worse, it likely would get to be worse if she stayed here… she didn't intend to.

Grabbing hold of the leg of the fallen ladder, she pulled it closer. Hiking the cumbersome object up, she dragged it nearer until she had laid hands on the rungs. Lowering her head, she thrust the ladder back over top of her, blindly striking at the back of Harumi's head with her new weapon.

The medical staff were quick to arrive on the scene, somehow managing to pull Sophia out of harms way and get a proper look at her. A sickening streak of blood and sweat followed behind the sea striker as she was dragged away, like some sick horror movie Harumi had yet to see. Sophia’s limp weak body getting dragged away until she was no longer seen. Such a gruesome, almost disturbed image was a sight Harumi hoped would not be stuck in her head for months to come. Perhaps if she took Kaylee down, destroyed the instrument that so violently tore the small sea striker asunder, she may find some form of peace in the coming days.

Harumi was not naïve. She knew people could get hurt in a fight, and she had seen such injuries a few times, but the risks were always apparent and stated. From what Harumi observed, wrestling was combat with flair. A combat arena made more so to entertain rather then focus on beating your opponents so violently. What Kaylee did was beyond unsportsmanlike. It was down right cruelty. This wasn’t an MMA match where one could beat their opponent without a care for holding back. There were rules here, rules made to prevent this sort of thing from happening.

And yet, no one stopped it.

A sea of cheers was the response Kaylee got from nearly killing her opponent. The idea was sickening, that so many people would just disregard this woman’s sadistic appetite simply because of her appearance and numbers on her screen. She had no qualm stretching their idol out, forcing her to endure what was likely a shrivel of pain compared to what she forced Sophia to endure. The pop idol was rather flexible, making her hold less effective then it would be against a normal opponent. Kaylee screamed, but…it wasn’t right. Harumi couldn’t be sure, but someone this dexterous shouldn’t be having so much trouble enduring this hold.

Harumi looked over her shoulder, sure that this woman was planning something. Perhaps she would catch a clue in her expression or her movements. Harumi didn’t need a clue, as Kaylee’s plan was already in effect! The woman had pulled the ladder over, forcing it to tip and fall towards the judoka. Harumi only had enough time to lift up an arm in her defense before the ladder slammed down on top of her frame. She was thrown from Kaylee’s body, the ladder dragging her away, leaving the silent samurai to throw the awkward and heavy equipment to the side, looking to get back up to her feet before Kaylee could!

Harumi was fast finding that Kaylee for all her detestable tactics was a capable opponent as far as her cunning was concerned. Putting her down may have been easy, but following up was proving to be difficult without the social media star putting her quick thinking to work. No sooner had the ladder clatter d down on top of the martial artist than Kaylee had made her escape, scrambling away from her opponent on all fours, not even bothering to rise until she had a safe distance near the ropes.

It was clear to her that Harumi wasn't going to be the sort to forgive and forget so trying to play things sympathetic was a waste. Her efforts would instead need to shift to actually fighting her… she wasn't done of that. Going into the match she had known Harumi was the one to be wary of and had intended on sacrificing Sophia to help weaken the other woman. That had fallen to pieces when the sea strikers proved to be an unreliable ally. Her regrets were tempered with a sense of satisfaction over having brutalized the girl.

Gripping the ropes, she pulled herself up to her feet. She stood proudly, idly brushing off her attire to straighten out certain elements to leave her looking sharp, almost regal. Her narrowed greens eyes settled back on Harumi, taking in the rest of the ring with a brief scan. Still two ladders and some chairs in the ring, plenty to work with.

"I guess it's just us now. No more distractions." She upnodded towards the martial artist, giving the woman a smug smirk. Stepping away from the ropes she shuffled her feet, bobbing in place with a springy ready stance. She threw a gesture out to the other woman, beckoning her to bring it on… which had the crowd cheering for her the moment she did it. Despite everything that had happened they were still treating her like the underdog heroine fighting against the odds.

Harumi’s cold eyes glared across the ring towards Kaylee as though she were little more than a cockroach. Already, the idol was scanning the ring in search of what tools she could use against the martial artist, finding ways to slink around and bury herself in the grass. The smiles, fancy dresses, the happy music was all just to cover up and hide the scales and the venom dripping fangs of the snake that lived inside that woman. She was so very much like the sirens Harumi had read about in her novels: Her ravenous fans overlooking every cruelty she inflicted, enchanted beyond belief and enraptured with her beauty as  well charisma that she could even lead them all to the slaughter house and they would still be patting her on the back and thanking her.

This entire match had been utterly disgusting since Harumi entered the ring. Neither opponent was really much of a competitor. Sophia was comedic in a simply way, but she did little more then try and betray anyone who was foolish enough to turn their back on her, and Kaylee had been such a sadistic woman, smashing her foe to the point of bleeding before tossing them away like they were no more than a faint punching bag? It was disgusting! Yet the fan’s cheered her on as though she were in the right, like little Sophia wasn’t the victim but rather the aggressor in the entire situation. Harumi had grown up learning that decency, self-control, and respect not only for your opponent, but for the fight at hand was all very important. This match was a complete mockery of everything she had learned and been brought up from. This was no wrestling match.

This was a disgusting gladiatorial pit.

“No…”

The silent samurai finally uttered a response to the social media star, the Judoka’s entire expression as hard as stone.

“I won’t disgrace myself by being in your presence any longer. Congratulations, Kaylee. It’s just you now.”

With that, the martial artist would turn away and exit out from between the ropes. She was done, and she walked back up the ramp without sparing Kaylee a glance. Even as the idol’s fans jeered and cried at her, Harumi paid them no mind. She had no interest in winning over such vile, brutish creatures as those that would Idolize Kaylee and her horrific actions.

Harumi would swiftly disappear around one of the entry ramps, her only interest being Sophia Salt’s condition, and how she might help her recover.
