Chloe Mason vs. Moon Sin-Jae - Two of a Kind

Rethink. Reassess.

It was so rare that Sin ran into actual challenges, even rarer still that she found herself tangling with someone who could work on her own level, but that was turning out to be the case, here, or at least what she was gathering from early guesses. Those kicks were on point, those movements were graceful, the impact was nothing to be scoffed. Chloe had the goods.

And she knew how to best use them, too. Little time to recover with this one.

Not missing a beat, Chloe closed the distance and brought her leg up for an axe kick. Sin recognized the move before she’d even raised her foot, knowing the movements all too well, seeing them every time she looked in the mirror and performed the movement. A flawless pivot. Perfect balance on the ball of her foot. The sort of extension that only came from years of rigorous training. It was all there with Chloe.

Fortunately, it also meant she knew precisely what to do about it, too. She raised her arms and brought them together in a cross above her head, letting the foot come down right into the middle, trapped between her fists. It wouldn’t be there for long, she was sure, but that was fine - Sin only needed a moment.

With that leg held up, Sin swung her foot low, looking to connect with the back of Chloe’s lowered leg, aiming to trip her up and drop her flat. How long could she keep her there? Wasn’t sure. One step at a time.

The wired thing was...in this vast world, there are few fighters that played the same as Chloe would. She considered herself to be pretty unique in the way she fights, and in her own haughty mind, no one could do it like her. But now? She was finding them in AFW, countless women (some men) that held pride in their kicks. She had yet to taste one of Sin's kick yet, though the night is still young. Which reminded her to maybe have a little "talk" with Valley Doll since she popped up in Tension.

But for now, she focused on this lovely opponent. Hopefully Sin realised who she's facing, with the two hits already connected and one on its way. The crowd briefly seeing the wrinkled sole that aimed to smack down onto Sin's face like a hammer to a nail. It had it's benefits, a good hit could knock a person out cold, but Chloe lived for the contact it bringed. She could just imagine bringing her down as her heart delights in seeing her under her foot. As it is for all that stood in the ring with her.

Though there was still the danger and Chloe didn't think about it till Sin crossed her wrists and stopping the foot before it could even touch it. Ah yeah, taekwondo practitioner. Not a bad block, any worse and Sin would be eating the kick regardless. She was good. Very good.

And Chloe would face the consequences as she was swiftly swept off her feet, though not in a romantic way, but in a falling-to-the-floor kind of way. The landing wouldn't be so kind to her as she fell hands slapping the canvas, but there have been rough ones before. Though she realised her foot wasn't grabbed yet, and so brought both feet down together and rolled back, before attempting to flip back up to a handstand and to her feet if she can.

And down she went. Sin was already getting ready to take Chloe out with a quick stomp, hammer her into the mat, then really go to town on her before she could even realize what was happening. This woman was fast, mobile, sure, but how well would she do when they were on the floor? When things got brutal and bloody? She seemed like the prim, proper type, if those hulks she called bodyguards were anything to go by. Maybe that was the edge. Maybe she wasn’t made for the rough stuff.

To her dismay, however, she didn’t have the chance to find out. Her opponent once again showed that she could hang when it came to the agility department. Sure, she went down, but she didn’t stay down very long, flipping to her feet with ease, quickly rising.

Shame. But okay. Sin could be patient. Within reason.

Not wanting to give this woman an inch that she didn’t have to, Sin gave chase right away. That little flip was fancy, she couldn’t take that away from Chloe, but it brought with it the trouble of leaving her open as she created distance, a gap that no self-respecting martial artist would miss.

So, when Chloe rose back to her feet, Sin had a little surprise waiting for her - she’d spun around as she closed in, building up moment, and swung her leg at the blonde’s face, looking to strike her back down with one of the strongest moves in her arsenal - the Tornado Kick.

Soon as Chloe was on the ground, she was certainly in a hurry to get back up again. She wouldn't take anything away from that sweep, Sin took advantage of Chloe's axe kick and made her pay dearly for it. Just that Chloe sought not to take any chances from being on the ground where something bad could happen. With haste and the benefit of not having her leg being grabbed, Chloe rolled back and flipped up to her feet. Her mind raced, thinking to herself that she at least has gotten out from a bad situation. Not that she wouldn't have been so defenceless, but she preferred to have the match at her own pace. So she would get the ground if she wanted to. At her timing.

However, Chloe would suddenly end up out of the frying pan and into the fire. And as soon as she got back up to her feet and faced the opponent's direction, she was met with something. A nasty surprise was waiting for her. And it wasn't pretty.

"UNNF!" Her head smacked back, left blinking hard after...whatever was that hit her. She knew it was a kick, but as to what kind was left questioned as she was left backpedalling. Her first actual hit like this, and what a hit that was. Backpedalling to the point she fell with her back on the ropes, looking up towards the Korean. "Not bad...not bad at all." She would think to herself, shaking her head to get the cobwebs out.

The twist was good, the lift was perfect, and Sin got just kind of lift she was looking for with that kick. It was rare she had the opportunity to land a move like that, one that needed a good second or so to build up, but she knew when to pull it. That was the biggest trick, really - knowing what kick to use for the right situation.

The result was immediate and effective, with the blow landing flush on Chloe’s face, sending her back like she’d been shot by a canon. The only way for her to go was down, and down she went, right on that pretty butts of hers. A good hit, Sin’s first real strike of the match, but she wasn’t going to be satisfied with that, and Chloe was in a perfect position to give her more of what she craved.

As Chloe began to rise up to her feet, Sin stayed in motion, leaping back, spinning through the air, her outfit billowing as she moved, a flurry of motion. She landed on the ball of one foot, then leaped into close the distance, not wanting to give her opponent a moment to collect herself.

Swinging her leg as she flew, she came at Chloe with a sliding kick, throwing her full weight into a whipping strike at her chest.

Sin's first kick in this match. And of course it would start with a bang.

It is something she tried to avoid, seeing the many live footages of her televised matches. She wasn't going to underestimate her when her attacks land, and even a full grown man wouldn't simply tank it. Chloe had the feeling Sin would be very similar, her own legs could crack a man's rib if she wished, Her ring knowledge, combined with using this extravagant kick at the right time was the perfect combination to have Chloe down on her butt. If it wasn't for the ropes, she would have fell on her back.

The blonde had a pretty good feeling that Sin wouldn't be done with just that. No courtesy of letting her get up even, Sin would hop back, something that Chloe caught as most of the cobwebs were shaken out. Only for the Korean to leap back forward and a kick incoming. If the last kick was any indication, Chloe would choose not to cower and block. That would hurt and break her guard anyways.

Instead, Chloe would plant one hand to the floor and attempt to twist and scoot to the side, just as the kick comes. She had hoped for even a simple graze, but she still caught some as the foot struck the firm chest of hers, only as she twisted her upper body to the side. Wincing, but determined to see this through. With the amount of momentum Sin would put into the kick, she probably wouldn't stop in time. If she gets lucky, that foot would move straight under the middle rope...just as she raised her leg and shot out a grounded side kick while laying on her side, mostly hoping this trade off would be worth it if her heel struck her right in the belly again.

Sin liked to paint a mental picture of things as she fought, getting a good feel for the way things were progressing and how she wanted them to go. With this kick, she pictured it cracking Chloe in the face, dropping her flat, knocking some sense out of her. After that, she planned on mounting the woman’s waist and maybe, just maybe, taking some time so they could get to know each other better.

Yeah. She was looking forward to that.

Shame, then, that it wasn’t meant to be. Oh, Sin caught her chest, but it wasn’t the crushing blow she’d been hoping for. Barely scraped it. Not satisfying, but worse still, her kick kept going and smacked into the ropes, stealing her momentum and leaving her open.

Chloe was quick to capitalize on that little fact, too. A kick shot out, hitting Sin in her chiseled abs. It would’ve been a nasty hit at any time, but now, with this bad timing, it was enough to knock her off her feet and drop her flat on the mat. Not a good moment, and she knew it to, as she tried to roll away and get back on her feet before Chloe could move in.

Anyone lesser would perhaps have fallen to Sin's strikes already. Chloe knew what a well-placed kick to the head could do and with someone like the Korean, she was lucky she didn't fell and lose consciousness. Just having more of a taste of the power from that tornado kick cemented the idea in the blonde's mind that she should really avoid getting hit like that again. Try to minimize mistakes as much as she could. Truth be told, that very advice could be said to both of them, seeing as how good they have been in punishing mistakes.

And Chloe would have her share in doing so, albeit with the cost of getting her chest roughly grazed by the kick. But the trade-off is that Sin was forced to continue the momentum, which is where Chloe threw the kick. By itself, it might not generate a lot of power, at least comparing to more powerful attacks. But combined with Sin's forward momentum? It made up for it in spades.

Another shot to the abs, but also one to have Sin knocked off her feet. Chloe could relish in having her own foot briefly drill into her belly and the skin on skin contact it brings. Shame, she had now wished it was her face, could have raised that leg higher...but that is just being greedy. Besides, there were more opportunities and the night is still young.

With the help of the ropes, Chloe got up to her feet, one arm wrapped around her chest. Sin also moving to rise up to her feet, something that the ex-commisioner took notice. Which is where something sparked in her mind. Her feet padded the canvas as she rushed towards the Korean getting close before leaping up high, tucking her right leg towards her before shooting right at the taekwondonista. Just like Sin, Chloe has something in store for her when she gets up only to bring her back down to the ground. Though not with a Tornado Kick. Would be poetic, but a Flying Side Kick, with the sole aiming straight towards her face is a good enough replacement...

Neither of the two women were exactly crowd favorites. Sin had pretty much made it a point to piss off the peanut gallery at every opportunity, relishing in the heat they gave her, loving all of it. Good fighting fuel, and she couldn’t have cared less about swaying hearts and minds in her favor. While she didn’t know Chloe all that way, she could surmise a few things just based on the way she came and the manner she carried herself. ‘Heroes’ didn’t usually come out with an escort, after all.

But none of that stopped the crowd from getting into this exchange, giving some reluctant gasps as Sin got dumped on her ass. There wouldn’t be much respect for the women themselves, but they could definitely appreciate the skill on display. It wasn’t something they were treated to every day.

For Sin’s part, she was enjoying herself. To an extent. Would be enjoying herself more if she were actually winning.

That would take some work, though, as Chloe currently had her in retreat mode. She’d rolled away, wound up on her back, just in time to see her foe coming at her hard and fast with a kick that was tailor made for her face. Sin used the scant second she had to jolt back, letting the kick pass right over her face, and she threw her own legs up an instant later, rising back to her feet with a kip up.

She didn’t stay on her toes for long, though. She didn't even have time to plant her heels on the floor before she was in the air again, jumping straight up and twisting her body about as she flew, letting her leg fly by in an arc to hit her opponent with an enziguiri, one aimed at the side of her head.

In reality, Chloe mostly has one thing going for her in which the crowd no doubt liked about her. She never seemed to do much in terms of pleasing and pandering to the crowd, such things would be wasted. To that extent, she wouldn’t be classed as some babyface that the crowd could get behind. In fact, she didn’t really need to. Her aptitude for humiliation and using those two feet of hers gave them what the fans mostly came to see. She didn’t care much about them when it comes to her and whoever is on the opposite side of the ring. The blonde got her kicks, pun intended, and enjoyment by working them over until they lay in a crumpled heap.

But the ex-commissioner hasn’t had a fight like this in such a long while. And like Sin, she was certainly enjoying herself. Though of course, they both prefer to win.

Chloe seems to take back control as she dumped Sin on her ass and she wasn’t going to let the chance slip from her. She pressed the attack, charging right in with a kick that had her name on it, just waiting for her. The blonde figured that she would give Sin a massive taste of karma, something Chloe would relish if she floored her with this…that is until it hit nothing, leaving Chloe to sail by over her. Shame, she was really looking forward to that, only to get denied. No matter though, Chloe managed to land on her two feet before she could crash land, quickly turning around and-

WHAP! “UGGH!”

Yeah, turns out she pulled a reverse card and Chloe has her head rocked by the enziguri. Her own feet barely kissed the mats, only for her to be dumped right on her ass herself. A nasty hit indeed and it had her blinking hard. Not the best thing to happen to her, and not the best position to be in as well as she lays on her side.
