Lucky vs Death Bunny: The Battle of the Bunnies
Win Conditions: Pin, Knockout, Submission!
Oh boy, another match! Lucky took a good few moments to look herself over in the bathroom mirror, deciding on a new piece to add to her wardrobe! She had all her normal cheerleader outfit on, her name "Lucky" spelled across her chest... but she wanted a little head-thingy to add to it! Something to make her seem doubly cute! It seemed to be the new thing going on at the AFW from her observation! Masks, fake ears, ribbons... All these adorable things that Sakura hadn't gotten into... until now! After digging through a big cardboard box of props she was so generously given access to by the backstage crew, Lucky had found the most ADORABLE pair of golden rabbit ears she just HAD to go with! She smiled so BIG when she noticed just how WELL it fit with her current outfit in both color... AND adorableness! It was settled! These new ears would be part of her wardrobe!
__
With her music BLASTING with enthusiasm, Sakura stepped out into the view of the crowd and struck a NICE big pose for them, spreading her arms wide and wiggling her hips just a bit, showing off her new ears for everyone to see! Of course, she styled her hair in JUST the right wait to hide her real ones as well as the band that held the ears to her head! Lucky was so ENTHUSIASTIC right now! She had no idea who she was fighting tonight but she didn't think it mattered! She felt GREAT! In her stride! Lucky!
So nothing could go wrong today!
The cheerleader walked down her ramp with an almost exaggerated bounciness to express her joy, her hips bobbing, her breasts rising and falling, her smile as wide and warm as the sunshine itself! She felt REFRESHED! It was incredible what a simple change to one's wardrobe could do! She would slip under the bottom rope and HOP up to her feet once inside the ring, resting herself in the corner as she waited for her opponent to arrive!
Ooooooh... She hoped she was a real cuuuuutiiiiie!

Re: Lucky vs Death Bunny: The Battle of the Bunnies
The techno-inspired synth of Lucky's theme, along with the festive jubilance of the gleeful cheerleader's teeny bopper theatrics, all set the lighthearted stage perfectly as subsections of the audience seemed absolutely enthralled with her infectiously beaming positivity. As if her exuberant smile was enough all on it's own to brighten up the stadium without the need of the house lights. The monolithic Titantron projecting her "Lucky Sakura" wrestling moniker with animations of twinkling stars, adorable animals, and spinning florals. Those who were accustomed to Sakura's typical brand of softcore-esque rumbles were gleefully awaiting what manner of adorable, snuggling shenanigans would come of today's frolicking fracas~...that is until the shimmering pink from the illuminating spotlights began to fade away...as did every other light in the arena...leaving it immersed in darkness...
when a sudden GONG would reverberate from the speakers...
The somber, funereal tone of D.B's theme deadening the jubilation in the audience...fog emanating from seemingly out of nowhere with morbid imagery of open graves and decrepit tombstones blinking in and out of existence on the screen above the entrance ramp. Where from The Bunny Reaper would come lurking out from behind the curtains...adorned in her trademark attire whist bathed in darkness save for the sparse floor lights along the ramp. Sauntering along through the knee-high smoke until she finally came to the ring's steps. From there pausing briefly before stepping up the steel stairs and entering the ring through the middle and top ropes. She vigilantly stood in her corner for several more unnerving seconds before motioning her hands to remove her wide-brimmed hat...the slight gesture simultaneously illuminating the arena back to it's normal lighting, and revealing the grim, unsettling scowl on D.B.'s face directed solely on the peppy cheerleader...wearing bunny ears...

Re: Lucky vs Death Bunny: The Battle of the Bunnies
...Needless to say it was disorienting for everyone involved when Lucky's cute and bubbly theme was met with something... not... that... Like... at all. It sounded like someone had just died back stage and they were playing some kind of funeral rights to honor them or something! Instantly, this set the tone and expectations of what the little ball of sunshine to be up against... The Moon to her Sun, the Wicked Avatar to her Winged Dragon of Ra, her Sasuke to her Naruto!... And as exciting as all that sounded...
...It was really nothing less than something to dread.
Oh, but it got the crowd all riled up! After all, they didn't have to fight whatever walked out that door! With all the haunting images, smoke and all that good, cuddly stuff, she thought that it would be death itself that would walk out to face her, clad in it's full black robe, scythe in hand, bony hand outstretched to guide her to the afterlife... But if she were to have REAL expectations, she figured it'd be someone who APPEARED cruel... Not just setting the tone with a look or expression, but someone with scars, someone who was mangled with a face that expressed nothing but the harshness of the world both inside and out. She expected someone ugly, damned, someone that ENJOYED images of despair and loss... because it hid away their own...
...And surprisingly, what she got wasn't ENTIRELY like that!
On the surface, her opponent was nothing less than beautiful. Her features were pure, her skin an attractive silky white, her eyes intense (some girls were into that)... and she had the most adorable bunny-ears on! From a distance, Lucky almost felt relieved... that maybe this was for show and that this girl just had a VERY particular sense of humor! She found herself giggling nervously, almost a subconscious attempt to calm herself down.
...But as she drew closer... and came into the ring... Sakura saw that frown... a frown of almost... hate....?
shivers
"U...Uhm... Hi!" She greeted, a very nervous smile upon her lips as she offered her hand out to the bunny-eared stranger! "I'm Sakura! But my friends call me 'Lucky!' Nice to meetcha!"

Re: Lucky vs Death Bunny: The Battle of the Bunnies
Breaking in the newbies was a task typically assigned to the venerated veterans of AFW. A passed down tradition dating back to the wrestling federations early inception. What better way was there to silence and humble the egotistical braggadocios believing their own hype than by pitting them against wrestlers who were light-years ahead of their skill level and allow the crowd to revel in the one-sided carnage that ensued. The task usually being administered by the so-called "locker-room" generals. Those who have cut their swath during their time here to the point where the mere mention of their name sends shivers down the spines of those who were smart enough to be scared. It was a weeding out process. With whatever remaining of those rookies afterward than deciding if they were gonna either step up to the challenge...or ship out of the business altogether. And while Sakura didn't fit the mold for that particular brand of rookie...this form of initiation also happened to include those who were gaining popularity without ever having been really challenged...
No pillow matches...No makeout contests...just your two mitts, squaring off with someone malicious and cold-hearted who had an insatiable desire to crack their knuckles across that chipper, perky, and flowery face of yours.
"..."
A whirling disrobement of her tattered trenchcoat to the ringside official outside revealed the naturally full-figured and lean physique of the Grim Hopper in about as dramatically badass a way it could be done. Her taciturn grimness being unswayed by the sunny cheerleader brimming with positivity and wholesomeness now standing before D.B. A sideways glance being directed by the bunny girl down towards the outstretched hand presented between them...followed shortly by the brooding bunny undertaker apparently raising her own hand to reciprocate in a slow, gradual ascension that stopped inches away from Sakura's hand...before continuing upward with a sudden swiping of the false bunny ears on Sakura's head. D.B. tugging them off along with a few errant hairs before crunching the band and mangling the fluffy ears...than indifferently flicking them at the peppy cheerleader with a disgruntled grumble as D.B, backpedaled a step or two in preparation for the ringing of the bell.

Re: Lucky vs Death Bunny: The Battle of the Bunnies
Lucky never saw herself as better than anyone else because she won some matches in the past. A winning streak wasn't really a sign of greatness nor was the favor of the crowd, really. She was NEVER so egotistical to think that she was better than some of the women who had been at this for years honing their craft because she beat one of them once! She just... you know... won that time! That's all there was too it! Perhaps it was the higher-ups who imposed a duty upon themselves to rub out up-and-coming rookies, feeling uncomfortable at the very least that one such as the bouncy, friendly Lucky might impose upon their hard-earned territory and positions. Sakura had gotten to this point because, she assumed, people thought she was good enough to be here! Did she believe she deserved it...?
...It was something she never really thought about. All that really mattered to her was that she was getting more matches as it was funding her true passion! Everything else that came with it was just a plus, really!
Still, these expressions of her character went unspoken and so, DB's assumptions of her went unchallenged. The Grim Rabbit lifted her hand as if to meet hers... but it kept rising and rising until her fingers CLAMPED around the headband Lucky used to hold up her very special golden rabbit ears... and some of her hair too!
"O-OW! H-HEY!" Lucky cried in protest, stumbling forward towards the other woman as she YANKED those ears RIGHT off her head along with some strands of her silver-white hair too! Sakura's eyes widened... even teared up just a bit as she saw what was once a beautiful and ADORABLE feat of craftsmanship... mangled in the hands of another bunny!
"B...But they were so cute..." She sniffled, DB simply TOSSING them back at her insultingly, the cheerleader barely catching them in time! Lucky looked as if she were about to cry... but before the tears began to flow, her expression slowly started to harden. What was once soft, sad emeralds toughened into resolved, almost angry glints as Sakura took the mangled, (now floppy) ears and set them RIGHT back on her head in defiance of DB, puffing out her chest and raising her hands as she waited for the bell to start!
She wasn't gonna be bullied by her! Those days were over!

Re: Lucky vs Death Bunny: The Battle of the Bunnies
Normally, D.B. would have rather secluded herself within the annals of the arena's labyrinthine lower levels with only a gloomy novel to keep her company...but through sheer happenstance and no conscious attempt on her part, D.B. had become one of these so called locker-room leaders who became simultaneously feared, but respected. Perhaps through her tireless work ethic and otherworldly mysticism. Which all led to a somewhat uncanny ability for her to attract the admiring attention of others despite not ever wishing it upon herself.
It was all just an assumed role that D.B. begrudgingly settled into after years of fighting it and shirking the responsibility that came along with it. As if she resigned herself to a fate not even Death herself could disregard...so when time came for someone to take the role of executioner against this flowery rookie to size her up...D.B. solemnly, and uncharacteristically accepted upon seeing just who this bubbly cheerleader was after seeing a recording of her soft-core style wrestling. Something that had no place being performed outside of bedroom matches or just the bedroom, period. Someone who was this much of a sweet-faced snowflake gathering this much of a following...needed to be addressed.
First impressions were most definitely not being weighed in Lucky's favor at the moment. The Grim Hopper not taking the floppy accessories on Sakura's head as anything more than a sign of insolence and a quirky attempt at comedy at the D.B.'s expense. D.B. crinking her neck from side to side and as she backpedaled a few more feet from Sakura after kindly returning her mangled bunny ears. The hollowed out indifference to her deadened iris' not portraying even half the emotion in Lucky's suddenly emblazoned gaze. The Bunny Reaper's perfectly proportioned figure and striking beauty (should she ever learn to lighten up on the glowering once in a while) being a stark contrast to the violent and grisly plans she had for the night as she suddenly started stepping forward before the bell even rang. A calm and reserved gait with fists clenched but her powerful arms still slackened at her sides...D.B. only picking up slight steam the closer she maneuvered to Lucky with a sudden jaunt, locking her eyes on the chipper cheerleader and appearing like she was approaching to lock-up with her...before abruptly snapping her foot forward with an accelerated speed in a big boot attempt right to that puffed out chest of hers...and timed to happen right before the ring bell clanged.

Re: Lucky vs Death Bunny: The Battle of the Bunnies
Oooooooooookay... She's... uh... very reserved... Lucky would note dryly within her mind as the mere reflection of her passionate, energetic gaze would be mirrored with one dead and empty! There was life in there, to be sure... otherwise, DB would be in a crate 6 feet under, but whatever dwelled in that dead-zone where he soul should be... wasn't something Lucky would describe as beautiful! If anything, it was as if looking into Sakura's eyes was a threat to grow it's own influence, to bring that dead grayness into the cheerleader's world!
Not on her watch! Not on-
"YEEP!" Sakura cried out, THROWING herself to the side just in time for DB to launch a sudden and shameful surprise SUPER-KICK at her chest, the boot GRAZING her boobs as Lucky barely managed to scooch out of the way in time! No sooner than she felt to sole of her opponent's foot scrape against her precious breasts, the bell of the match did ring, almost as if it were waiting for DB to signal it's beginning! The very first TWO things Lucky noticed about DB's fighting style from that move was that she was kinda fast... and she was BONE-CRUNCHINGLY STRONG! She could feel the air RUSH out of the way of DB's foot as it passed, almost as if it feared for it's life!
It was all Sakura could to do BACKPEDAL, to put some space between her and DB in an effort to regroup! Yeah, the match just started and stuff but she needed to BREATH, okay!? DB would CRUSH her up close! Utilizing the speed of the rabbit, the animal she had adopted the attributes of for this match, Lucky would SPRING back, throwing a QUICK poke of a jab at DB's jaw should she come after her, hoping a quick *POP* across the face might slow her down!

Re: Lucky vs Death Bunny: The Battle of the Bunnies
Credit should at least be given where it was due. The mustered up courage Sakura had scrounged up was, at the very least, keeping her steadfast in the face of impending doom from the bunny-eared harbinger of Death. Every living soul feels the paralyzing sensation of terror at one point in their life, but it's how you respond to it that shows your true character. And the perky cheerleader with no pom-poms was selflessly standing her ground instead of trying to encircle D.B. to try and find an opening in the bunny girls stance, which was usually the same old song and dance instead of standing up to her directly. So...kudos to the bubbly pep rally enthusiast.
...of course, that didn't necessarily mean that what she was doing was particularly smart. Not when one slight misstep could have meant being mowed down by a booming black boot squashing her boobs. Which would have walloped the air clear out of her sails, and deflated any hopes the audience may have had for Sakura pulling off an upset win. But, Sakura ended up earning her namesake and fortunately evaded the horrendously stiff kick to the crowd's exhaling relief. D.B.'s stamping her missed foot into the canvas with a reverberating impact, indicating the level of destructive force Sakura scarcely managed to avoid, the grimacing bunny biker girl pivoting around to face the cheerleader...
...only to get clocked square in the jaw from a right hook that sent slight spittle flying from her mouth. Her stance unwavering aside from her head whipping to the side. An eerie three seconds of dead silence passing before she hauntingly turned back to face Sakura with narrow-eyed intensity...teeth-clenched through her guttural growl in the continuation of her soulless march towards Sakura...fingers mangled into claws aching to get her hands on a certain someone's neck.

Re: Lucky vs Death Bunny: The Battle of the Bunnies
Lucky's counter-punch HIT DB SQUARE in the Jaw... Hard. So hard, in fact, Lucky recoiled from the force of her own blow, clutching her wrist as DB's jaw was IMPOSSIBLY tough! It hurt her knuckles, dang it! The cheerleader cringed, sparing her poor hand a quick glance before glancing back over at the bunny-girl... and instantly regretting that she did! The look of utter, graveyard hatred that flashed across Death Bunny's expression was nothing less than appropriate. The cheerleader shivered visibly as her opponent STOMPED right after her, the twitching of her fingers indicating their desire to wrap around something and CRUSH it! What exactly could it be...? Lucky could only imagine... and each potential option was vital to the cheerleader's survival!
Knowing that if she was caught, even for an instant, she would be doomed, Sakura backed up FAST, trying to stay ahead of the death-possessed rabbit and keep out of arm's length! She didn't dare try to go on the offensive... It was too risky and probably JUST what DB wanted! Playing overly defensively wasn't gonna do much either, seeing as DB looked SO tough, she could probably just out-last Sakura's attempts at hiding away! Playing a counter-game was her ONLY chance at winning... assuming DB wasn't smart enough to figure out what Lucky was getting at!
...She didn't want to hope someone was stupid but... How else was she gonna get out of this without being totally throttled and stuff!? Sakura's emerald eyes WERE wide... but more alert than fearful... She wasn't gonna let this weirdo-bunny scare her! Not while she could still fight!

Re: Lucky vs Death Bunny: The Battle of the Bunnies
In a scene reminiscent of typical horror movie schlock...the ethereal, spine-chilling slayer continued to relentless stalk the peppy cheerleader after shrugging off whatever obstacle she managed to haphazardly defend herself with. Though instead of knocking over bookshelves or throwing lamps at the encroaching executioner...Sakura just straight up slugged D.B. A decision everyone would have deemed unwise if this were indeed a scene straight from a horror movie, though it was none too wise in this situation either. For someone like this bubbly doofus to pop her on the chin was a grave insult...Sakura maybe not realizing that putting her dukes up against someone whose been brawling with straight up killers for most of her career may not have been the wisest course of action.
*She must be out of her goddamn mind...* D.B. thought to herself in her seething pursuit of the backpedaling cheerleader suddenly going into a full retreat, shaking off the right hook to her jaw without much of any impediment to her undead stride. Her nostrils flaring to exhale the veritable steam from how much her blood was already beginning to boil within her. D.B. motioning onward and intending to keep Sakura's eyes on the reaper bunny girl...and not the corner turnbuckle that Sakura was unknowingly reversing into until perhaps her back bounced up against the padded corner. Which might be one second too late as the Grim Hopper would attempt to repay the chipper beaut with a walloping right hook of her own...since Sakura opted to turn this into a slugfest in the first place.
