Sarah Gatt's Open Challenge (for Tatyina)

The punch would hit Sarah, as the Queen of Brawl would underestimate Akashi's ability to throw a punch. Even though it rattled her a good deal, almost instintively Sarah had a counter. She would roll with the punch, spining so she would nail a backhanded blow across the back of the sumo's skull.

Akashi reeled from the counter but forced herself forward. She didn't need to be able to see to get the move off as she reached out for Sarah's attire and pull her close, into a bear hug.

Sarah growled as Akashi grabbed her by her outfit, and tried to resist being pulled into the sumo's grasp. But eventually her opponant won out, and Sarah found herself in a tight bearhug. "AHH!! Motherfucker!" Sarah screamed in frustration, kicking her legs frantically, but found it hard to break free.

Akashi squeezed as tightly as she could. She knew the hold wouldn't last too long with someone like Sarah. She pressed her forehead against Sarah's and looked into her eyes. "Don't worry, it won't last long. But i want to see which one of us can really stand up to something like this... consider it payback for that pipe during the tournament."

She then fell forward with Sarah in her arms, never taking her head off Sarah's. Her intention was to not only slam Sarah into the mat with her big sumo body, but also slamthe back of her head against the mat with Akashi's placed against it, forcing it into a headbutt as well as it was smashed between Akashi's head and the mat. Akashi knew it would hurt her, but she was sure that it would hurt Sarah a lot more.

Rika's eyes widened. She knew what this move was; it was the same one that finished her off when she sparred with Akashi. "Sarah! Look out!" she shouted.

"Wha-?" Sarah managed to get out, but it was too late. Before she even knew what Rika was going on about she was thrown forward with a cry of surprise. Not only did Akashi's full weight nearly crush her, but the woman's forehead collided with hers. The combination nearly made Sarah black out. Her arms flopped to her sides, and she let out a weak groan, limp as she lay underneath Akashi.

Akashi's head split open when she collided with Sarah's and she let out her own cry. She too nearly blacked out from the move. It was her finisher, but it was the first time she applied the headbutt like that and it worked out exactly as she thought it would. That's why I never add the headbutt...She thought as she layed weakly against Sarah. Through instinct alone, she rolled a bit and hooked Sarah's leg up for a pin.

"1!" The ref called out.

Sarah's head was stained with Akashi's blood as well, and she was still too out of it to put up any resistance. She was caught off guard by Akashi's last move, not thinking that the sumo was capable of such a devastating finisher. God dammit, move, she growled in her head. No matter how much she willed her body she could barely lift her arm. MOVE!!

"Two!" the ref called.

Rika watched on in amazement, and a little bit of fear. Could Sarah actually lose?

Akashi held on as tightly as possible, she could feel herself fading fast and even if she tried to open her eyes, she would have only had them blurred by blood. Just stay put! She urged as she went through the longest second of her life.

Her heart skipped a beat when she heard the pounding of the mat and the ref call out:

"3!"

Her eyes widened as she didn't belive it. She let go of Sarah and began panting heavily. If it was fake, then the brawler could do whatever she had to because Akashi could barely move her body. She opened her eyes and through the crimsion stained vision she listened and looked for any indication that she had really been victorious.

The crowd and Rika were shocked. No one could believe it. Sarah Gatt, the undefeated Queen of Brawl, had lost. A once striken silence soon became righteous cheers for Akashi because she had done what no one else could.

Not long after Sarah would begin to come to, a soft groan coming from her as she began to sit up again. "Sarah!" Rika cried, and leapt into the ring to the assistance of her mentor. "Are you okay?"

"Ugh, what happened?" she asked, holding her still aching head. Rika was hesitant to answer her.

"You, uh....Akashi beat you." Sarah's eyes widened at the news. She rounded to Ria, thinking she was playing a joke, but the serious and fearful look on the girl's face told her otherwise.

"No...," she whispered, a fierce and frightening look coming upon her face. "NO!" She pushed Rika aside, jumping to her feet with surprising strength, her anger and rage pushing aside all feelings of wearyness. Sarah marched up to Akashi. "You didn't beat me! You couldn't have beaten me!! Again! Right here!! I'll show you it was a fluke!!" All reason and calm had been cast aside by Sarah. She breathed heavily, her green eyes wide with pure rage.

Akashi blinked and sat up, not entirely sure what happened. The silence stunned her and she was still in a daze. She brought her hand up and ran it over her eyes to wipe away the blood and at that moment she heard cheering. She looked at the ref who nodded and she blinked a few times. Before she could even comprehend what she had done she heard Sarah. She stood up and held her head, wincing slightly. "Sarah-san..." She said in a calm voice. "I don't want to fight you." She said simply. "Defeat... submission... that didn't work... courage and strength... that didn't work... determination... even outright beating you didn't work..."

She narrowed her eyes. "What does it take to get through your thick skull!?" She yelled back. "Anytime you want to fight as a warrior, then the offer is always on the table but if there's some other reason for why you want to fight then I want no part of it! I've tried hard to reach out to you, despite my instincts and everyone saying otherwise. I thought this would be enough but if you still can't see things clearly...." She sighed. "I don't understand what makes you so angry, Sarah-san. It couldn't possibly be just a simple matter of pride." She clenched her fists, prepared for anything.
