Few could really come to hate this lovable goof. Dorky, friendly, and adorable, and always sporting his cheeky smile. Excruciatingly polite, Lucas reacts to topics or people with childlike enthusiasm. Completely optimistic, he doesn’t let any loss discourage him and is willing to see the good in everyone, though this could be easily abused. Rolling around with someone can easily bring out the side of him that enjoys a spirited competition. Submission specialists and grapplers alike are those that he would vibe with. Training for a long time, he has traits that show a natural born leader if given the chance, and nerves of steel, even when rolling with someone, showing unflappable respect and doesn’t curse around women. What would rattle him is when placed in hentai situations. Let’s just say he’s not so experienced in such circumstances, something Marc tries to help out since coming to AFW.

Strategy/Style: Well versed in Catch Wrestling, Judo and Jiu-Jitsu, it is no surprise that Lucas prefers to be in close with his opponent. Preferably on the ground and preferably on top. Not as good as Marc in terms of striking, Lucas avoids brawling it out with an opponent, though he has been comfortable with throwing a dropkick here and there to take down larger opponents. Where he is at his most comfortable is using his judo to take not-so-large opponents down where he can use his submissions on the ground. Tactical and cerebral, erring on the side of caution, he attacks cleanly and stays safe, always looking for a small opening to threaten to end a match with his submissions. If he could help it, Lucas would try to win while inflicting as little damage as possible.

Past/History: Lucas pretty much has grown up with a gi. His father being an accomplished fighter who soon retired to make his own school and a mother who is a lecturer at a university. Excelling at school from the very start, he was gifted and intelligent who enjoyed a lot of science and mechanics. Lucas was a positive and glowing student, all the while he had been with his dad, training with him and other students. Because the father doesn’t speak much, that was his chance of bonding with him. By the time he was 14 years old, Lucas was making straight A’s (his mother made sure of that) and had been the president of the science club. A decorated student athlete who had been a standout to the wrestling team had a choice of picking any school in the country and he decided on California.

Studying while competing for their wrestling team, he had a lot to juggle with, as well as the burden of making her mom proud. He was very gifted when it came to grappling, being the son of a well-skilled fighter. Which brought some jealousy and resentment from others. His teammates turned against him, passive-aggressively picking on him. Despite being talented, he was an absolute dork and that didn’t mix well with the jocks. Going through some hazing from his own colleagues, Lucas had been downcast. That is until he met someone who would be his best friend.

Marc Troyard saw the guys who were causing trouble and in an attempt to make them back off, socked one in the lips and knocking a tooth out of his mouth. Lucas didn’t really believe it at the time. He was the most popular guy in this school, pretty much everyone knew about him. And he was helping out someone like him? That reinforced his belief that there is always good in this world. The two became best friends, hanging out with each other and they found many similarities. Their fighting history.

After graduating with honours with a degree in engineering, Lucas thought about what to do next. With his degree, he could get into astrophysics like his mother. Going back home, he got a job teaching while training with his father. That would take him to a few grappling tournaments and did well in wrestling and jiu-jitsu, cleaning the amateur division. As he upgraded in rank, he fought tougher opponents and Lucas really got into the competition of it all, striving to be better. When he’s not rolling and making people tap, he would be seen trying his hand streaming Pokemon.

Things were good and all, but he felt he could do more. And the job at the university, while lucrative, was getting a bit stale. He needed something new, another adventure. Somewhere that he could face the best competition there is. An itch that needed to be scratched.

Then Marc soon told him about AFW...
